Drake thought for a second. "Ryo Walker has the skills, but we only just got him from the Coalition recently so I'm not sure he has the needed respect. If needed I suppose I could, but you know how I hate being in a management position."

 

"Hmm, I though as much for yourself, Ryo walker is a possible captain, but he isn't use to leading others, let alone a ship, no I was considering someone, but his has no loyalty to the Federation, let alone me, but he has all the skills of a captain. But I don't know" Jonathan said, almost rambling to himself.

"See ya latter" Amy said to Ryo.

 

Ryo looked over at Yjuna "well then shall we get out of here?" Ryo said

 

" Yeah sure lets get moving."
The woman said as she stretched her arms and began walking down the hall.

 

"He must be real good if you want to hire him despite that. Is he loyal to his word? That may just be good enough if we can get him to agree."

 

"He is loyal to a single person, that person seems to be on our side, but whats more is he could be considered my son. But that aside, I'm not sure if I should do this" Jonathan said to Drake.

 

"God knows this one is over my head" Drake said lightheartedly "I know you'll make the decision better the other wannabes around the militaries these days."

 

"Hmm, maybe, have you figured out who I'm talking about?" Jonathan asked Drake.

 

"Alastor fits that bill I think. He's loyal to, Mia was it? And she's loyal to us. But then there is the supersoldier phenomenon, more specifically that the second personality is, let's say, not as well cut out for the job." Drake said.

 

"We shall see" Jonathan said. As he went to leave Drake be he was called to the SHangri-La's bridge. As Jonathan stood on the bridge the ship looked over a massive crater that had a base built into it. A section of the ground opened up and the Shangri-La slowly flew down it, as it went lower it came into a massive underground hanger that housed fleets of ships, half the ships in the hanger where imperial with the Federation emblem on it, some where old ones from the unification war and the remaining majority where the Federations own desgin. The Shangri-La went another level down past where all the Federation fleets where landed. It emerged at a level that had three other Ark class ships landed and landed in line with them.

 

Yjuna felt the ship jerk beneath her feat, indicating that they have landed. She heard the voices over the ship intercom confirming her suspicions.
" Finally somewhere for us to get out and stretch our legs. . . do you want to see what this base is all about?"

 

"gladly, I would take outside over staying in this ship any day" Ryo said with a smile as he stretched happy that they finnaly were allowed to get out of the ship "well then lets go" Ryo said happily

 

Yjuna ran quickly down the hall running out to the loading chamber of the ship as the door began opening up into the base's hanger. She slid down the ramp on her feet as she jumped down and looked around in the hanger.
" Wow its massive."

 

Running with Yjuna Ryo jumped down with her and was surprised by what he saw "whoa incredible" Ryo said as his eyes widened at the seen. Being a part of the Coalitions he was surprised to see this the huge hanger

 

S oldier came up to Ryo and Yjuna and gave them both key cards "Keep your hands on those, those cards have a chip in them, the door here will pick up those chips and open, if you lose it you can't open the doors. Quarters have been arranged for both of you, each of your cards are locked to that room, which means only those cards can open the doors to your room" the soldier said to Ryo and Yjuna.

 

" Oh thank you very much."
Yjuna said as she began walking off, admiring the sites and sounds of the massive base.
" I'd never think such a large ship can be accompanied by a hanger."

 

A month passed at the base, Alistair alowly stopped talking to everyone, prefering to be locked away in his room while not training or on mission. Alastor eventually joined the Federation and was made captain of the Shagri-La. He kept doubting his abilities as a commander but kept doing his new job while every survivor of the Ark was transferred to the Shangri-La.

 

The Striker Kai had been deemed too damaged and was put out of commission. Despite this Drake spent much of his free time in the month trying to repair it, but ultimately couldn't. With it not being sanctioned by the Federation he could only get parts off of scrapped MHWs, but some of the parts needed were either extracted before the MHW was tossed, or simply didn't exist in the simpler designs. For instance, the faulty wiring caused damage to the power-supply and those were almost never sent to the scrap heap unless they were inoperable. Also over the course of the month, Drake was able to recover enough to handle himself in the light gravity.

 

Over the month Ryo occasionally would visit Amy down in the prison cells. Most of the time he hung around with Yjuna and did his best to help her adjust to being a part of the federation. The news of Alastor being the captain of the Shangri-La was quite the shock at first for Ryo but he got used to the idea instantly.

 

A month passed and Yjuna's position in the Federation still remained the same but, she became more well liked within the community and became friends with Mia who allowed Yjuna access to the royal archives and what Yjuna found out next shocked her. Yjuna was actually the crown princess to succeed her grandfather, emperor of the old Japanese royal family as the head of the family and regnant of the Asian Sector. But Yjuna refuses to return to her remaining family because she still has one last deed she needs to do and that is to help get her two year old son Ivan back since he remains in the care of the main Royal Family. Yjuna prepares each day so she can be ready to fight to take her son back.
