"Lies only make reality all that more bitter" Alistair said, going back to watch his media.

As the Ark travelled it was followed by an Imperial fleet just outside of its radar and visual range. The fleet was getting ready to destroy the Ark and capture all the prototypes it carried. Its carriers got ready to fire missile barrages at the Ark.

 

Suddenly Yjuna stared out the window and her eyes widden in fright as she kicked Ryo's feet out from under him so that he would fall back and then she ran towards Alistair and jumped onto him, knocking him over.
"Watch out !!"
She said as suddenly the room shook when the imperial ship unleashed the first barrage and knocked the rows of metal document cabinets off the wall and it would had smashed Alistair and Ryo if they had not gotten out of the way.

 

None of the missiles hit the Ark, but they where close enough to send massive shockwaves threw the ship. The scramble alarm sounded as around sixty hounds came closer, covered by the missile barrages.

 

Yjuna sat up and realized she had nearly squashed Alistair herself and she looked apologetic as she sprung up off him.
" Er sorry, I didn't make your arm worse did I. . ."

 

istair winced in pain, "Its fine" he said taking his arm out of the sling "I have to get to my Striker" he said leaving the room. The ship intercom was odering all non combat personal to escape the ship as a second barrage of missiles hit.

 

Yjuna followed him confused as to why he was going to attempt to do anything in a MHW with his arm like that.
" You can't do anything with your arm like that, you will get yourself killed !!"
She said as she was knocked into a wall when the ship shook again.

 

"Get a suit on, this ship could get a hole in it at any minute" Alistair said to Yjuna as he went and got his pilot suit on. He took his key of his neck and looked at it for a few seconds before heading to the hanger. Mia was already hopping in her MHW by the time Alistair reached the hanger.

 

" Wait your mad !!"
She said as she was thrown around a few times till finally she managed to keep her balance and she rushed to the hanger and grabbed a suit and helmet and slipped them on while things were falling over onto the floor. Now she had to find a way to get off the ship.

 

There was no way to escape from the hanger. Mia's Striker was taken to one of the ships catapults. Alistair grabbed hold of the cockpit hatch on his Striker just as a hole was made from a missile on one side of the hanger. The hanger crew that where right next to it where killed while others that were close were sucked out into the vacum. All the hanger crew grabbed onto something as the air was being sucked out of it. The airlocks around the hanger closed to stop the rest of the ships air from being sucked out.

 

Ryo jumped up to his feet and ran towards the hanger. Upon reaching there he put on a suit and head towards his Reaper

 

Yjuna looked down the end of the hanger and rushed towards a deserted transport ship. It wasn't a small agile fighter ship but it was better then possibly being sucked into space since all the escape pods were being overcrowded and she didn't want to risk fighting for a spot later on. Yjuna then drove the ship out of the hanger and into the blackness of space outside.

 

Ryo was loaded onto one of the Ark's catapults, the Ark turned to face the incoming fleet. "The third fleet will arrive in twenty minutes, hold out till then" the bridge officer said to the pilots as all the MHW's where launched. Alastor put on his Royal Guard pilot suit and head for the Multi Strike. The pilot wasn't here and he really though it should be deployed. Alistair landed on the Ark's hull and started firing at the inbound missiles, as he fired the missiles blinded the Ark and their MHW's from the inbound enemy MHW's.

 

Drake used his engineering knowledge to find out what was still needed to make the hound fly. Other systems were secondary, all that was truly necessary was the flight and compartmentalization. At that point he could make it to the Ark. Once he assessed what parts were still needed he began work on improvising the remaining pieces.

 

Ryo prepared his Reaper and launched from the catapult

 

When Drake finished the Hound was ready to go.

As soon as the Reaper took off it was swarmed by missiles, the missiles wouldn't do much damage to the Reaper.

 

After closing up the last panel, Drake got into cockpit and started it up. As it came to life Drake released a breath he didn't even realize he was holding. It wasn't pretty, but it was functional. Drake launched and headded in the direction he last saw the Ark going.

 

Yjuna drove her commandeered ship into the deepness of space, intent on getting as far away as she could till she could see the mess unfolding in the distance and she stopped the ship and rested near an old spaceship wreck where a battle had taken place long ago and the massive battleship abandoned. Now finally she was on her own, finally she could be considered free, she had to set course for mars before she would be picked up by some other group, she couldn't risk being captured by a man like Jonathan again or the Empire or she would have to struggle to be free all over again.

 

In the distance the flashes of battle could be seen from where the Ark had gone.

Above Yjuna an Imperial Carrier started lowering down behined the shuttle.

 

Yjuna noticed the ship lowering down behind her from the window in the back of the ship, she sulked a bit and sighed.
" Looks like I jinxed it, I wonder how I'm going to get out of this one. . ."

 

"Just get to the hanger" Drake told himself. The hound was not suited for battle so he would need to get his Striker Kai first
