Alistair was walking towards the brig when he sw Ryo and Amy. He was about to shout out to him when he noticed that Amy was with Ryo. He floated back up the corridor and grabbed a hand held radio. "Prisoner escape" Alistair said over the radio.

"Look out, I think they are on to us" Amy said to Ryo as they passed Alistair.

 

Ryo nodded and ran faster towards the hanger where the Reaper was being kept

 

The alarm on the Ark started blaring. The hanger was in confusion as to what was going, many of them though it was a scramble order and where readying the MHW's for deployment.

 

"Roger." Drake responded from his radio as he was getting the substitute Striker prepared. I knew things wouldn't be smooth sailing after a battle like that. But I was hoping for some time to recuperate.

 

"get a suit on hurry" Ryo said putting down Amy and headed for a suit

 

Amy quickly put on a dark purple suit, it was the only one that would fit her. As soon as she got it on she stopped moving and closed her eyes.

 

Ryo caught her and jumped into the Reaper "alright its time to launch" Ryo said

 

Drake waited outside in the Striker. He was hoping he wasn't needed. Just his luck to be out here alone with a stock MHW to withhold escapees.

 

Just as they got in the Reaper the radio turned on. "LA-01 Reaper you have not recievied permission to launch, please power doen" the same bridge operator from before said over the radio.

 

"I apologize but I must do this" Ryo said as he powered up the Reaper

 

"Emergency launch of the Strikers, prisoner escape. The la-01 Reaper is from this point considered hostile" The Operator said threw speaker to everyone in the hanger. Seven's Meangiless powered up next to the Reaper. "Ryo, what are you doing?!" Seven asked over the radio.

 

"I'm sorry about this but this girl is about to die if I don't return her. I owe her a lot so its the least I can do" Ryo said as he suddenly launched forward

 

Drake was waiting outside. "Just what do you think you're doing?" Drake asked, hoping he could talk him out of it and have to fight his second battle against odds today.

 

"this prisoner is about to die unless I hand her back to the empire" Ryo said calmly

 

"What makes you so certain of that? She could just be manipulating you to get out of here" Drake said. He wished he knew the guy better to know what strings to pull but he would have to do his best winging it.

 

"she might be using me or might not but I owe her for opening up the truth of this world to me" Ryo said

 

"What truth would that be?" Drake asked, a part of him truly curious as to what insight they found but mostly expecting to just point out how foolish the notion was.

 

Ryo pulled out his rifle and pointed it at him "Unfortunately I don't have time for this. Why don't you ask me when I return? I'm sure you will have lots of time when I am behind bars" Ryo said

 

"We haven't been out for long. It surely can't take long for you to share this epiphany. If it's good enough I might even escort you." Drake said, not drawing arms. The longer he could stop hostility the better. Drake was however priming his engine's for a quick evasive maneuver.

 

"why do you fight this war?" Ryo said calmly
