Ryo sighed as he crossed his arms against a wall with his eyes closed. After a while he opened his eyes. "I am going to go see that prisoner I shot down" Ryo said

 

"Ah hell..." Garrus was very unhappy, "Well... are there any other available Striker units I can use until you completely fix my Striker?" He looked at the head engineer, but his mind was elsewhere.

 

"Alright" Seven said heading to the mess hall.

"Only stock standard" The engineer said going back to work.

 

"Well... it'll have to do." Garrus knew that there were only stock standard Strikers around, "So how long do you think it'll take before she's completely up and running?"

 

Ryo put his hands in his pockets as he walked over to the area they kept the prisoners and walked over to the cell of the prisoner he shot down

 

"You" the prisoner said to Ryo "What the hell do you want?" She said.

"Before or after we reach HQ" The engineer asked.

 

Drake looked over Garrus's Striker more thoroughly. "I'll have to agree with him Garrus, there are more damaged parts than working ones on here. This would be more cost effective to disassemble and mark as spare parts than to try and fix it all..." Drake turned to the engineer. "What stock do we have on board? I'm assuming at least one other on standby and a full set or two in spare parts?"

 

"just checking to see if your alright. Any wounds?" Ryo said crossing his arms and leaned against the wall across the cell

 

"Like you would care, I never knew a Grim Reaper cared about the people he sends to hell" She said bitterly.

"Ah, we have a fully equiped Striker at Stock level" The engineer said.

 

"Damn... I really pushed my Striker's limits. If I'm gonna really be effective on the battlefield, I need to make a brand new MHW, from scratch.... Ah but that'll take forever...." Garrus was thinking out loud, scratching his head in confusion, mulling over possibilities for MHWs.

 

Ryo closed his eyes "guess I deserve that but I still want to know if you manged to get out unwounded" Ryo said

 

"I'm fine, what do you want from me?" she asked.

 

"Don't think about it too much." Drake ducked into the cockpit and pulled off a couple of panels and removed a computer chip. "We can get your old system computer on the stock striker. Then once we land we should be able to do proper modifications and get you back in a good machine. And besides, even a stock Striker is better than most of what you'll be fighting."

 

"well its good kn know that your alright" Ryo said with a sigh "tell me, why fight for the empire?" Ryo said

 

"Why not, there will always be people at the bottom. If you guys win people will be pushed down, they will rise and nothing will end. At least if the Empire stays in control majority of people can remain ignorant to reality" she said.

 

"You're right, but still... I realized that I am limited by a lot of things, and I pushed the limit on my abilities to pilot my MHW and the potential on my MHW. I don't know what I can do to improve upon it... but I feel I need to do something to help us get the edge on the Empire." Garrus suddenly remembered something and thought to himself I wonder if that would work...

 

"so what your saying is this is all a battle so see who reaches the top?" Ryo said

 

"isn't it? What happens to all the nobels who have lived at the top when you win? What happens to all the people at the bottom when you win? They switch places and nothing changes, such is our nature. The only difference is who is barking and who is growling" She said, she came out of the shadows of the cell, she had short red hair and bright green eyes. Her skin was slightly tanned.

 

Ryo opened his eyes and looked at her "so what then? if people think that then this war will never stop. People will always fight to reach the top. The empire wins yet more will rebel. Same with the Coalitions and Federation" Ryo said

 

"Yeap, thats what I think, when people have a comman enemy they fight alongside each other, say the Empire is the common enemy. The COalition and Federation are working toghter, but what about after. Do you think two large powers like that could unite? And even if they did people will still be unhappy, and other people will take advantage of that, if it is to raise an army or to put more money in the poctet, then they become the new enemy. Imagine if Aliens came, we would most likly fight out of fear, but we would be united until they are defeated, then what?" She asked Ryo walking closer.
