I'm trying to start up this old computer but about where it should say Window's is loading or something like that, it says something like either

    Driver Error Occurred
    Press Ctrl+Alt+Del to restart

    -or-

    Reboot and select boot device
or *afdkjfdlas;jf;ad* (I can't remember. Something about replacing the boot and hit any key)

Any idea how to fix this problem if the restart doesn't work?

Well, try restarting it and get back to us.

If it doesn't happen again, then it's just one of those rare glitches.
If it does, though, then, yeah, something is wrong.

I think you mean "Disk read error".

Sounds like the drive is busted out on the computer.

Was there anything of importance on this computer?

I see. Exactly what does that mean? Like one of the harddrive is like slightly unplugged or something?

Well it belongs to my old HS's DDR club and has shittons of charts on it. If we lose it now, the club dies and I could use some pad-stomping. XD

    It's most likely gone.

But you can hook up the hard drive to another computer and take the files off of it that way.

Or you can ask somebody to ghost drive it for you.

    I got it working again but it sometimes shuts off. The files are still there (thank goodness) and I could ask someone to do all this stuff but.... our relationship isn't that good anymore since last year. -_-;

Well then, I guess you should do this yourself. You do know how to do it right? I can explain if you don't!

I sorta don't know. I can't tell if its just a bad wire since when I got it working, I just switched some wires and it started to boot correctly.
