Well, after playing COM. I hated the battle system... that's
why I had to use codes to make my cards better, yeah that's how
weak my cards were. And some of the bosses were impossible
    with that battle system.

I thin it was rather interesting, fun, and unique.
Why: It's the only game in the series to do something like this I think (unless you count RE:COM), it gives me something to look forward to every time I play the game, and all the diffrent combos you could make in the battle system made it even more enjoyable. I think it was a great addition to Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories.

I loved the battle system in CoM. It was so different from other video games and for once you didn't(couldn't) have to use button mashing. Sleights were fun too. I actually became kinda a geek and spent a long time organizing my deck to be able to do sleight after sleight and then bring all my cards back with a megapotion ;P it was fun ;P

I bought the game for the PS2 having played the previous KH games and I HATED the new battle system. It was too confusing and it slowed down the pace of the game a bit. I'm more of a button masher.

Same here!!! I would rather mush buttons than use strategy in a kingdom hearts game like the card battle system...i do love the final fantasy games because of the strategic planing involved with them....i hope that they don't ever make another kingdom hearts like that again...

I love to use strategy in most games, but I just doesn't fit kingdom hearts.....it is just not the kind of thing the suits it...

I like the battle system because, unlike the other games, the X isn't used the whole time.

It was kind of hard to figure out at first, but now I am used to it. Sometimes I feel that the bosses are harder than the actual levels. It was a harder game than the other KH ones that I played and maybe the hardest one yet.

I quite liked the battling system in Re:CoM. It was a bit more difficult, but if it was to easy, it would be boring.
I liked the fact that you could stop your enemies attacks with Card Breaks. This would have been a nice feature to have on certain battles in KHII, such as Xaldin.
And the Sleights, when used right, are epic. This is the only card based video game I've been able to play, and actually win.
Also, being able to play as Riku FTW!

Plus for the button-mashers, which I admit, I sort of am one (part button-mash, part stratigizer thats me), you can arrange the deck(At least in Sora's Story) so that you can just repeatedly hit 'X'.

I never got to play the original CoM, though.

    Battle Fields

whenever you fight, they bring to thae same battle field everytime and it wasn't even there before. and in castle oblivion they magically put you on a giant circle in fights. the only time they give you a correct battle field like in kh and kh2 is at twighlight town.

I never really had issues with the card system until I started Re:CoM. In the GBA version, which I beat several times over, I enjoyed it. My deck wasn't anything to speak of, but I had a lot of cool sleights. I'm completely overwhelmed by it in Re:CoM for some reason. I can't build my deck at all even though I have, like, 600CP give or take, and I dunno. it's just difficult for me. I guess it's why I've always prefered Reverse/Rebirth -- you don't have to build your own deck. ;D

Building your own deck as sora was AGGRAVATING to say the least, i had to level up like 52 times just to beat Vexen and the Riku Replica would not give up after losing. I liked the Reverse/Rebirth side better XD.

I am now starting like enjoy the battle system rather than on KH2...just a little bit.

I thought that it was stupid that they only gave you small amount of points to customize your decks....that sucked.....

Yeah, that was pretty annoying. It made the game rather difficult.

    I liked Kingdom Hearts RE:COM better for the GBA instead of the PS2. ^ ^;
The controls were much easier on a handheld device than on the playstation. I found the PS one harder too, and because of that I hadn't played it. I don't see a big difference in the two- -well. . obviously it's the same game (minus the cutscenes on the disc. .).

I think it should have been released for the DS instead of both of those systems, but that is just me. Rambling of course, if any of this made sense at all. XD
