Coldplay or U2?

they're both so similar. which is your favorite?
(and don't come here and say,"Neither")

 

I actually don't think you can even put Coldplay and U2 in the same category.

True both have a great deal of telent, but both are world's apart from each other. The contribution that U2 have made to the music industry in their career is far and away higher than that of Coldplay, but I really rather like Coldplay.

I wont choose between them.

 

They're really not that similar, at least not anymore. I used to hate Coldplay because they sounded so much like U2. But now I like them both.

But I love U2 more. ;D

Well anyways, if it's really between these two then Coldplay.
I'm more familiar with their music and I actually just...Like them.
But I think that U2 is a bit more...I dunno, influencial (Is that a word?) On maybe, society. ​

 

U2. To this day, I've only enjoyed one song from Coldplay.

 

coldplay has actually been dubbed by several rock magazines and critics as the "new, second generation U2." they are great but bono is the king of his original style. the newest coldplay was AWESOME and U2 has their first new album since 2004 coming out in march. woohoo!!

 

Well, I don't think U2 and Coldplay are THAT similar. They're really talented I'll admit that, but I love Coldplay the best. :D

Both are great bands, but if I had to choose, I'd choose U2.
And I don't think they're similar at all.

 

I don't think they sound so alike actually, but nevertheless I like U2 better.
