I posted this idea long ago in the stickied thread in the code vault but it seems the coders have neglected to check it so I was thinking we could have a thread listing names (and downloads, if that is okay) of coding tools like cheat engine 5.5, ps2Dis, pokesav and all the other stuff. This way people who to start coding can start helping other people in need of codes. Also this might reduce the amount of repeat threads because the these people might want to make the codes themselves rather than wait who knows how long to get the code they want.

    good idea?comments?

As much as I hate to say this but, the code vault is made to request codes.

Even tho its a big ball of fail, without requesters there would be no code vault.

i see no harm in it, though to be honest i think it could go into the FAQs thread (i may be wrong about this by the way). i guess a stickied thread for hacking tools rather than previous suggested tutorials would be ok. i am reluctant to say that tutorial threads are fine because in the past a few members DID create tutorial threads but each time the thread creator either neglected to actually add anything useful or there was flaming in the threads. but i think a thread designed ONLY for tools (and of course what to do with those tools) might work and NOT tutorials.

defintlely NOT a subsection, a thread should suffice, especially since there's isn't that big of a demand for this.

tutorials have shown themselves to not work out at all because of a lack of interest on both the thread creator's part and other people.

emulators are against the rules, no links to them, and i would prefer to not mention them at all (if possible).

if someone wants to make the thread i would happily give it a sticky as long as it contains substantial material and has instructions for using the tools. i would make the thread, but the only hacking i'm familiar with is with PS2 hacking.

EDIT: oh and the tools have to be oriented towards hacking in general, not towards a specific game or series.

Correction: There would be a very LITTLE Code Vault.

Not the best idea in the world, but a nice one. I'd like to start Coding.

Closing this since there's already a thread.
