hey guy's sorry if this has been suggested before but I would like to suggest that code tags be allowed in vm messages because when I hack a code for someone I don't normally like to put the codes in spoiler tags unless it's something no ones seen before so I put the in code tags and I'd like to be able to do this in vm's as well so can this be done? if so I would appreciate it a lot and will give rep to the member who does it.^ ^

Is it really needed though? Like I understand why you would want it but seeing a code like

    "THIS"

    and

    Code:
    "THIS"

    isn't that different.

I guess but I don't like using spoilers unless it's absolutely necessary so that's why I want code tags enabled.:/

Then PM the person. Or dare I say this, post it in the proper thread IN the code vault. You know the whole reason it is there in the first place. Just don't spam.

I don't think that's really necessary - true, it's not a big deal, but if you're posting a huge amount of text for a code we do encourage use of the spoiler tags so it doesn't flood the user's page.
I'm no expert in codes, but if they're meant to be posted in the Code Vault, that's probably the best place for them.

Plus the more activity the better. Also if the code doesn't work or there are bugs we can help you out.

well the only reason I'm requesting this is because say someone requests a code (not a big long code) just a normal size code like say a custom form (for example) in a vm, well since it's a code that's already been done and it's not really long then I would like to put them in code tags instead of spoiler tags and I agree that if it's really long that spoiler tags are needed but if it isn't then it could be put in code tags instead.:/ you understand where I'm going with this?

yes I understand but if it's a simple code with no bugs well you get the gist of it.:/

Well if it isn't a long code then there is no need for code tags. I mean custom forms are no more than 10-12 lines max. Also if someone wants to request a code than that is what the code vault is for. It is taking away from the activity that we already don't have. So if it isn't long then just post it and if it is then use spoiler tags. Also unless you are doing some really complex coding your codes won't be long. I mean its not like the codes won't work if they aren't in code tags.
