I'm sorry if this thread exists...


I was on deviantArt like a week ago, discussing this movie on the forum. I was just stating my opinion and then some troll(well, my first thought I had.) comes out of no where and gets all serious about the movie like...'wtf?'

Is it really THAT serious?

Anyways, I wanna know...
Did you like Cloverfield? Or not?

 

I liked it but the ending sorta sucked....

and you really have to pay attention to the minor things in order to get the ending...
and since its in a video camera's point of view, it made me sorta dizzy o.O

 

its a C/C- monster movie. It was entertaining...I didnt feel like cutting myself while watching it. (I dont cut myself regularly its a figure of speech T_T)

Tell that guy who was taking it seriously to shut up...lol.

 

Yeah, I didn't like the ending. You dont really know what happened with the monster or with Lily...stuff like that...you dont know where the evacuated people ended up -.-'

And I was going to tell him to shut up, but then he finally calmed down and actually discussed it with me. ^^

 

Never saw it..its a Godzilla type movie?

 

That's what people compare it to ^^. Godzilla and the Blaire witch project.
The entire movie was filmed with a camcorder...it's about a monster in New York that attacks and these group of friends going back for this dudes girlfriend and trying to save her.
It's pretty entertaining, to me.

 

it wasn't that great it wasn't that bad either in my opinion

 

One of my favorite movies. EVER. It has so many secrets in it; it's like a video game. It has a good story, the monster was awesome, and the camera effect was cool too for the movie (please don't spam The Blair witch project). And yeah...the thread got closed and I sorta helped out.

 

I'm really neutral bout this movie.

Part of me says "Ooh, its like a book with a bunch of secrets! I should keep watching to see them revealed to get a satisfying feeling of accomplishment!"

However, the other part says "...what the hell was that about!? I saw like, less than a full minute of the monster in an hour of just introspecting and crying! And the ending...what were they thinking! They didn't even mention Slusho, deep sea mining, or any of that interesting back story I was hoping to hear about!"

All in all, it felt to me like a monster movie...without the monster...well it was there, for like 4 scenes...

By the way, Rob's, like, our main man.

yeah...I was one of those people who tried to see clips of the monster before watching the movie...strangely enough you couldnt find any anywhere that were legit. Then I saw the movie and realized why...

random scene: you see an arm
random scene 2: maybe a leg...
random scene 3: it crushes a building
random scene 4: it eats the camera man...
