What bay? In New York? So you mean to tell me that it swam from the New York bay to the mid of the North Atlantic destroyed an oil rig and swam back to New York?

And before you ask, yes it did destroy an oil rig, not in the film but it did. See (this doe have to do with Cloverfield:

    That works XD
You don't have to ridicule them, they said they don't know the area. Neither do I, it was just a hypothosise anyway.

Hey, maybe it was the oil rig that dug it up! it could have been down there and it got disturbed by the digging and it got uncovered and it was pissed off becuase it woke up in the middle of it's beauty sleep(it needs it) so it desroyed it then went ashore to have a tantrum (it is a baby afterall apprerantly)

Yea, and the part at the end maybe has something to do with some other movie that's gonna come out, like an easter egg to an upcoming thing instead of what triggered it. But untill I'm proven right ot wrong or kinda right kinda wrong or not proven anything at all I'm not gonna stick to that very closely.

The Cloverfield monster was probably part of a speices(sp) that probably died out and would explain why there aren't more runnig around.

Okay, explain to me HOW anyone could live from a bomb like that? They bombed the place <_< Not to mention they were already slowfully dieing. If they are alive still, then reality in that movie is ******ed.

The original Godzilla was meant to be immune to all forms of weapons or something and the american one dropped blood. I'm sure they'll come up with an explaination in the sequal.

The American Godzilla was pathitic(sp), it took 12 missles and died. Godzilla, the REAL Godzilla, took millions of missles and the Oxygen Destroyer and still lived. Shells from M-1 Abrams, AT4 rockets, missiles from F/A-18s, MLRS, and Mk 82 bombs from a B-2 Bomber failed to do any long term damage to the Cloverfield monster. But yeah, I agree they'll explain why the monster lived in the sequal.

Well I kinda liked the American Godzilla, who cares if it could be beaten easily, different movies different rules, I think the american Godzilla was better anyway.

That is if they have a sequil for tCloverfield, I think it would kinda ruin the whole idea/point of the movie.

And the point of the movie was to give America its own iconic Giant Monster like Godzilla. And plus with the film grossed $83,748,371 (Estimate) there will be a sequal, thats the movie making rule, any movie that becomes a success will have a sequal.
