Wow i haven't been here in awhile and i feel like ive missed quite abit.

Anyway after reading all the earlier post I still don't see how the movie is very original, and CF seems kinda industructable. Zilla as burnup called it was an American interpritation of Godzilla and comparing the one from its own movie to the Zilla in Final wars isn't very helpful as they are the same thing but in different movies using differnt rules. Take for example the soon to be Dissidia game, Seph for example will not be as godly as it was back in the FF7 world cause his been dumbed down like everyone else to create a balaneced world.

CF to me was quite disappointing as it looks like a giant freakish bug or something, not what i expected at all. And at thousands of years old which this CF apparently is I'm sure its not a baby. Not at full size maybe but not a baby as im sure it would not take thousands of years to develop into an adult. Otherwise this thing is older then Jesus himself(yeah think about that religious people). The person that came up with this idea was clearly too busy thinking about making CF seem like a fearsom massive creature and didn't think it out right. And if the director put the effort to say that CF is a baby then it is most likely they will make a sequal with maybe an appearances from the adult CF monsters.

The Lion King was a great movie and i still enjoy it even today and im 18 years old. burnup seems to be forgetting that older people can like things that would seem for a child. Kingdom hearts for example is intended for all audiences and not just younger kids as I'm sure not all 12 year olds will understart KH 100% at first.

On the subject of a sequal I'm sure there will be one as I'm sure the directors wants the money they can pull in from the ratings alone.

the movie was entertianing and i also liked how they did the little camera view and aside from that it didn't have a message or any info on the monster but it did that to make you wonder what the monster really was... now the only people who wouldn't like that movie are the people too lazy to wonder.

That's not true, I wonder alot (I get annoying after a while too I'm told) but I didn't much like it. It just didn't have what I look for in movies so it wasn't as good as I had hoped. You have to take into account people likes and dislikes too.

well, i see where your coming from the story didn't have a very good plot except for a huge monster coming in and just wiping out new york city... not the best plot(to say the least)... and then the mian character's go off to save one person and end up all getting killed (very ironic)... so it was a stupid movie... but for some reason i just really liked it (don't ask why)

The monster isn't destroying the city on perpose, its a baby monster suffering from separation anxiety.

The creature was designed by artist Neville Page. He sought a biological rationale for the creature, though many of his ideas would not show up on screen. Page designed the creature as immature and suffering from "separation anxiety". He compared the creature to a rampaging elephant, saying "there's nothing scarier than something huge that's spooked". Reeves described the creature's reaction to its surroundings, "It’s this new environment that it finds frightening." To detail this, Reeves suggested the addition of white in the creature's eyes so it would look similar to an animal like a horse being spooked. The filmmakers also came up with the idea of parasites since the film could not realistically have scenes between the human protagonists and the enormous creature.

I love this film, it was fantasic. I really enjoyed it, I hope there is a sequal. And if you are a giant monster movie fan, love it or hate it, you have at least say that its good that giant monsters are making a come back.

Can't really say that one movie makes a come back or that the genre is strong again or lease not just yet.

Well, I can't say that yet, one movie dosn't mean a comeback.

I thought it was a great film. The different prospective really made it original. And the idea that you have no idea why the monster is attacking and how it got there adds to that.

If you were there you wouldn't have a flaming clue what was going on, especailly during the events of 1 night. I guess the idea that nothing was explained turned some people off, and the style isn't exactly hollywood cliche. But I think it's good that films like this are getting released and doing well. We need more originality.

You mentioned something about it being a baby. But if it has been sleeping for thousands of years, it's not technically a baby is it. It might of been one when it first slept, but now it's an adult with the mind of a baby.

Yes true, it would ahve to have a very strange metabolism for it to be alive that long yet still be a baby.
