Mozart fans? Classical fans? I recently became a HUGE fan of Mozart...he is literally a musical genius. Classical Music has become more appealing to me, and I've decided to post a thread about it. What are your thoughts?
I really enjoy listening to classical music. It's so relaxing and helps me focus. It's also amazing. I don't listen to it as much though because it gives my sister a "headache".
:type:~~~ YES! Me too, I love all of his music! I really like classical ecpecially when it comes to singing, for me that is my speciality. I have a hard time singing pop music and what not. :p
I have been a big fan of symphonic music after rewatching Fantasia 5 years ago, It is so fascinating. Not to mention it really does inspire me to draw and write. Anyways I also am a fan of film scores, My favorite film scores are The Fountain and Hancock.
I adore classical, I even have a blog where I embed youtube videos of just classical and instrumental stuff. Vivaldi is one of my favorites, I adore his recorder concerto in C minor RV 441 SO MUCH, I wish it was more popular than 443 and 445 D:. Not to mention The Four Seasons (Summer III. Presto is amazing!) and his violin concerto featured in Suzuki 4. A Minor, I think it was, the third movement? Mozart I actually don't listen to much, but I love Bach's stuff. I love baroque in general haha. I also really really like Telemann's stuff; in 6th grade I played an arrangement of a movement from Trio in A Minor and it's been a favorite ever since. More people need to appreciate classical, seriously.
I listen to classic b/c it relaxes me and i dance to it. it's actually really fun listening too^^ idk y people go it's boring but sometimes its nice to get away from the typecially screaming drum solo songs too. ^^''''
My knowledge of composers is dismal, but I do adore classical music. More specifically musical scores from movies, as others have said. It's a shame that it's quite common for people to hide their love for classical music incase their peers make fun of them.
I like Western high art music, not necessarily true classical music (Mozart, Handel, early Beethoven). I prefer Romanticism and the movements that followed after it (especially Modernism and Postmodernism). I love Stravinsky, he's probably my favorite high art composer.
Mauro Guiliani, Carcassi, Tarrega(I might've spelt the names wrong, been awhile since I've typed them out)...those are my personal favorites. I like Beethoven, Bach, Mozart, and Tch...I can't spell his name....Francis is his first name(I think DX), anyways...I like those people too but for me, they don't really compare to the guitar virtuoso I'm used to listening to.

You are so true, The Four Seasons are amazing! But I too am a huge fan of Vivaldi, I have been listening to his masterpieces since I was about 5 or 6. But I must also agree with your liking of his Summer III. Presto, it is one of my absolute favorites!

As much as I love The Four Seasons I must admit I am particularly partial towards Summer III. Presto and Winter I. Allegro non molto, I guess I just like the fast movements better lol. I remember that my brother had a Yo-Yo Ma CD I really liked that he'd put in at night to help fall asleep. If I remember right, it was called Simply Baroque. I do enjoy classical music, or anything that has to do with violin or any string instrument. I play violin, trumpet and Piano so its pretty much gives me a far more appreciation for the music. A song that I had to do back in middle school on trumpet was La Rejouissance. ugh such a pain to play but it is a beautiful song! A slower pace in my opinion but I like fast paced music.
