a remake of one of my favorite movies, and honestly im happy to see this being remade, the clay affects were cute but killed the mood, so again im happy to see this. Although from the poster it seems it is going to be more gritty than the original, but oh well. Born of a god but raised as a man, Perseus (Sam Worthington) is helpless to save his family from Hades (Ralph Fiennes), vengeful god of the underworld. With nothing left to lose, Perseus volunteers to lead a dangerous mission to defeat Hades before he can seize power from Zeus (Liam Neeson) and unleash hell on earth. Leading a daring band of warriors, Perseus sets off on a perilous journey deep into forbidden worlds. Battling unholy demons and fearsome beasts, he will only survive if he can accept his power as a god, defy his fate and create his own destiny cast Sam Worthington as Perseus Liam Neeson as Zeus Ralph Fiennes as Hades Alexa Davalos as Andromeda Izabella Miko as Athena Mads Mikkelsen as Draco, leader of the Praetorian Guard Jason Flemyng as Acrisius Gemma Arterton as Io Danny Huston as Poseidon Tamer Hassan as Ares Pete Postlethwaite Polly Walker as Cassiopeia
I remember seeing a few posters for this a while back. Back then I was like, "Ew. It'll be a lame action movie." Then I saw a trailer for it with "The Bird and the Worm" from The Used in it...and I was like, :=D: I'm so watching this now. 8DD
I saw the trailer and it looks pretty damn awesome and interesting. I always liked movies that were on stuff of Gods and such. ._. So I'll most likely watch it if I can. I have a feeling I've seen the original though. The summary seems pretty familiar to me. Just can't remember if I have watched it or not.
Loved the original! Though, i did find it incredibly funny as i got older, but i'll be going to see this for sure.
incredibly big bump but here is footage from the new one i have a bad feeling that this movie wont turn out good, it feels... empty with the CGI, it really lost its charm it seems
With that logic, all movies with CGI are empty and mediocre. I'd reserve your judgment for the actual movie, you know, because you can't see the future. Otherwise, I'm actually quite anticipating the movie, as I have a certain love for Greek Mythology.
Another rubbish that takes our mythology and beats it to death... Oh well, i guess i have to keep an open mind, it won't be the first time anyway... Eeerr... the plot..., isn't similar to Disney's Hercules? Switch Perseus with Hercules and it is the same thing. Hades wants to defeat Zeus.. WOW! Funny enough i don't remember any kind of hatred or whatever between Zeus and Hades in those countless myths i've read. Oh wait, the Dark Lord himself is in the film! Hmm..., i must watch this now.
This is a great movie.. O_O I really like this one but I don't really like Liam Neeson as Zeus... :( He just don't really fit being Zeus... :(
You see that spoiler box down there? Yea I put spoilers in there so don't bitch if I spoil something. Spoiler The entire film was a thrill ride until the ending which sucked so hard. They hyped the shit out of the Hades fight and ending it with Perseus tossing a sword at him to pin him into Hades was just lame. I also hated the God of War-ish plot with Perseus constantly in angst mode going "KILL HADES AND ALL IN MY WAY!". That Medusa fight was completely awesome though.
That is the thing that really bugged me. It was ok, but this was just testosterone pumped into it, I mean everyone was all like. "RAHAHHHHH GRRR GAHH". It really was God of Warish. Not to mention the black Pegasus was totally from God of War minus the flames *shot*
