"Why?"Elena squeaked


"Cadey!!"River caught her arm,pulling her back

"Ahhh so i got your attention then."Danny said,newly red eyes gleeming.

"Danny....how-?"


"Ima Vampire! duh! Got River...will you ever brighten up...or do I have to tell you this slowly?"

"Tell me what?"

"All this."he waved a hand around"Is all about to end....Werewolves....witches....wizards....vegeterian vampires....half vampires...all will fall....and Vampire's will rise and take over...Humans....will live...for food."

"What?"

"We're taking over Riv."Danny said "We're wiping out all vermin and undeserving...starting with you lot....You and Cadey thought you two were so special...because you were a wolf and she was the great-granddaughter of Voldemort...Ha! you two arent special....you just acted it....so I took action....Im helping get rid of you all."

He growled"Try."


"I dont have to..."he said smiling then he launed into River,who turned into a golden wolf,snarls ripped the night.

 

"It's for your own good Elly, please don't argue." She said dragging them upstairs just in time to avoid the image of River transforming.

In addition to River's wolf form Lake quickly transformed, her pretty lace dress being ripped into shreds. Her upper lip curled as a dark growl crept out. If anything was going to go down it sure as hell wasn't going to be her son that ended up being mauled and pulled apart.

 

Mickey changed too,the larger golden wolf,streaked with grey snarled warningly


"Oh look...Mummy and Daddy have come to play..."he said grabbing River by the throat,somehow getting him to change back"Listen"Danny snarled "Just because your still alive doesnt mean I wont kill you later....I'll just pick you off one by one..."He said tightening his grip"Got it? oh and dont try and stop it.....you'll only die faster and bring more pain and suffering."he hit River head off the ground slightly as he shook him,"Hi Mr and Mrs Malfoy,good see you again....I have to go and Plan your doom now....bye."the newborn vampire sped past Cadey and streaked through the woods


River coughed slightly and sat up

 

Lake snarled again and looked as though she was about to take after the vampire, but she looked over at her son and shook her golden head. It wasn't worth the bloodshed, she needed to stay and make sure he was all right.

Just at this moment a new, never before seen wolf charged up to the door. The wolf seemed smaller than River, even smaller than Lake. It was a deep chocolate brown, with speckles of copper in it's fur and it's eyes were an almost violet blue. The creature was panting heavily, like it'd been running for miles and miles.

 

Mickey,who'd half run after Danny,snarled warningly at the new comer

"River...are you ok?"Cadey asked


"Y-yeah."He said rubbing his neck,he looked at the new wolf,"Dad....stop....I know her.....Hermia?"he reconised those eyes

 

The new wolf seemed to nod. She sniffed the air in an attempt the pick up the scent of Danny once again, but no luck. She'd lost it.

Ocean, who had been lurking halfway down the stairs after making sure the kids were safely in a room. "She's a freaking werewolf too?!" She exclaimed in shock.

 

River nodded,"It explains why I took to her so well....some werewolve like sticking together....like Mum and Dad....Hermia....wha-where you following danny?"


"River."Mickey said,now human again"What did Danny say?"

 

Hermia sat down in front of the door, unable to fit through the front door and unwilling to change back into her human form as she didn't really want the entire family to see her stark naked on their second or third meeting of her. Once again she seemed to nod in response to River's question.

Lake slunk behind a sofa, out of sight of everyone, and changed back into her human form. "Can someone get me some clothes please?" She asked. "I liked that dress and all..."

 

Maddie appeared holding a dress out.


"He said.....that the vampire's are going to kill all other life thats not human...or vampire.....witches wizards werewolves and stuff....and they're starting with us..."

 

"Thanks." Lake said grabbing the dress and pulling it on quickly, even after years of getting used to appearing naked in stupid places it was a total humiliation.

"That doesn't sound good..." Ocean said, her eyes widening in fear.

 

"Why now.....? why...Him?"Mickey muttered"why mine?"


"Dad?"


"Lake....do you think its time we told them?"

 

"I guess so." Lake nodded, standing up and brushing her skirt down. "It needs to be said sooner or later, and seeing as we may not have a later the way this is going."

Hermia simpley sat and watched, unable to join in and running anywhere was pointless. And she was struggling to breathe as it was.

 

"Tell us what?"

"Back when you were a baby....a couple of werewoles me and your mum knew came to us and told us something. Like a prophcy, about....you,River.....that a friend would lose his life and return as one of the undead,that vampire's would threaten the other races and on your eighteenth birthday you would kill the one who started it....or we all die."


what?"he said

 

"We didn't really put much stock in it, there's only so many prophecies one family can have made about it before one of them is wrong. It would seem that was a mistake." Lake sighed wandering over to her husband and linking her arm and his once more.

 

"Did you two have another River? I mean me? come on....Im....like the runt of the family....skinny,lanky no muscles....Im not a hero."

"But you will be....you dont need muscles to be strong River.....theres a place that can train you how to fight.....how to survive."he glanced at his wife


"Hey.....hey...I dont Kill ok?"



"Your scared...I understand....but you need to listen."

 

"Believe me River, I never thought of myself as a killer either. But there's times where there's no other option. Werewolves are designed to kill vampires after all, so you've got to be able to do it. It's in your blood." She explained to her son, trying her best to sound encouraging whilst blocking out the memories of the vampire she'd pulled apart when she wasn't much older then her son. "Sorry guys." Lake added on, looking over at her in-laws.

 

"AH we know...."Maddie said smiling"Its your job."

"You want me to Kill....Danny?"


"River! He just almost killed you! what kind of werewolf are you? your dad can do it....your mum can do it......god's sake Elena could do it! so why cant you?Your designed to protect so protect people!"

"That's all we're for isnt it? Portecting humans...?"He said"Fine....I'll do it..."

 

There was a loud, slightly disgruntled snort at how River phrased how all werewolves do is protect humans. Hermia had been tracking and chasing Danny for miles and River made it sound like it was nothing. And now her nose was being flooded with the scent of the vampires in the house, which had previously been going unregistered as she struggled to catch Danny's smell again. It was taking everything out of her not to charge in and maul the vampires inside, but they weren't part of her duty. She just had to deal with Danny and whatever others he picked up along the way. And she couldn't break the vegetarian vampire contract either, no matter how tempting it was.

 

"Oh....sorry Hermia.."he said

 

She turned her snout upwards to show her annoyance at River. The similarity between her wolf mannerisms and Lake's were slightly alarming to anyone who had been on the receiving end of a Wolf Lake mood swing. Which was pretty much only Mickey.
