after his friend 'dies' River has some strange things happen to him untill his father decides to take his children and the rest of his family to a safe camp where they will be trained to fight and survie River learns that he must stop the on coming threat,but he cant do it alone.

while out of a mission he learns that his old bestfriend has been posseded by a accient vampire who plans to destory all races' that arent vampire,River tries to get his friend to change his mind,but to no avail,he then decides that he has to be stopped,so he and his friends go into battle...can they do it? or will all be lost?

Mickey was sitting at the kitchen table,smiling at his five-year-old daughter,who had,despite the early hour of the mornning,pulled out her crayons and began colouring,he glanced up at the stair,wondering when his son would grace them with his presence...the boy was so lazy....he was msytfied as to where he got it from...though when he voiced this...his family rolled their eyes as if he inherited from him.

Up in his room,River was sprawled across his bed,coming in at 3:30 in the mornning had not been his best idea, neither had going out with his best friend and his cousin's boyfriend, Danny last night,a night of which he could barely remeber

 

"Be careful you don't get wax on the table sweetie." Lake warned her daughter in a soft tone as she gently patted her head as she passed by. "You two think I should start getting breakfast ready or wait for his lordship to wake up?" She enquired, indicating upstairs to where the sleeping River lurked.

Meanwhile upstairs, Ocean, the eldest of the family, was stood outside her brother's door. She was silently debating if waking him up in some undignified manner was worth the wave of insults that would flood her.
After a couple of minutes she nodded to herself, she decided it was more then worth it.The devious blonde pulled her wand from the back pocket of her skin-tight jeans, silently opened the door just enough to fit the tip of the wand in and pointed it above River's bed.
"Aguamenti." She hissed, the result being a jet of water being sent straight towards River.

 

"I think it would be best...you know what he's like...he can eat for a army."


"Yes,"Elena said nodding her head,curls bouncing "That's why he's going to have a big tummy someday...like you daddy"she said sweetly.

He gaped at his daughter,as he'd gotten older,the muscles of his youth had melted away from him,he wasnt fat,but he wasnt the way he was when he was 18,it was as if all his snacking back then had waited in hiding to show when he was in his 40's


River jumped about a foot in the air when the water hit him,he sat up,shaking his hair from his eyes,glaring his sea blue-green eyes at his sister"Ocean! What'd you do that for?!"

 

Lake tried her hardest to bite back a laugh at her daughter's comment. Unfortunately this attempt didn't succeed and she let out a loud giggle. "Aw, don't pick on your Daddy Elena." She said, trying to sound as though she was being serious. However the giggling was ruining any authority that Lake had in her voice.
She wasn't exactly in the same shape she had been back in the day, parts of her were a bit less firm then she'd like them to be, but overall she wasn't unhappy with her appearance. She just wished having kids didn't cause so much destruction on the female body. At least she was still petite after it all.


"Why not?" She cackled as she quickly turned on her heel and charged down the stairs to escape the mid-morning wrath of her now more then just a little soggy brother.

 

"Its not funny..."he said crossing his arms in a huff,

"Yes it is daddy....but dont worry...your not the only one...Grandma Lyra said that Uncle Cory has gained weight since he stopped playing qudi-quitch"

"Quidditch."Mickey said,cracking a smile "OCEAN!" He rolled his eyes"here we go."

River thundered down the stairs after his sister,slipping in a puddle slightly,earning a shrill giggle from his little sister

 

Lake wandered over to Mickey, trying her best to ignore the fight between the two teens. She draped her arms over his shoulder and kissed his head gently. She lowered her head slightly and whispered into his ear softly, her cheeks becoming slightly pinker.
"Well I still think you're just as handsome now as you were then."

Ocean cackled evilly as River slipped, she flashed a cheeky grin and ducked behind a kitchen counter so she could avoid any counter attacks that might be launched.

 

He grinned,and turned his head to face her,then he kissed her"And your always gonna be perfect for me...your beatuiful."he said


A snarled ripped threw him,then he relaxed"You know what? if your gonna be childish and wake me up...fine....im just gonna..-"he passed the sofa,picked up a cusion and launched it at his sister,missing her by a mile,he rolled his eyes,this was why he never tried out to be a chaser on the school team.he sat down at the kitchen table,running his hands over his face and through his hair

"Your alive then.."Mickey chuckled"we heard you fall up the stairs last night....could you have fallen any louder?"

 

Lake blushed brightly and let go of him, she gently stroked his hair as she wandered back into the kitchen to carry on making the breakfast. After all there was only so much magic could do on it's own.

"I reckon he must of woken up next door with how loud he was being." Ocean smirked as she wandered out of the kitchen carrying the pillow that had just been tossed at her.

 

"Its not my fault I was born loud footed"he said rubbing the side of his face

"And another thing."Mickey said" what do you think your doing coming in so late? and you'd been drinking....hmm? "Mickey alwasy tried to act stern,but it never worked,his motto was ' if I did it...I cant condone it.'

ooc-I was thinking that they got the call about his friend at breakfast...its how i pictured it in my head lol

"Personally I don't have a problem with you drinking River." Lake said as she dished out the food onto plates, making sure Elena's portion was smaller and River's was slightly bigger, so he didn't ask for seconds as Lake couldn't be bothered to make more. "I just wish you'd do it more responsibley, like not coming home totally wasted at god knows what hour. It's not setting a good example for your little sister."

"I never came home wasted." Ocean said smugly, putting the cushion on her chair and sitting down on it. "Occasionally I was a bit tipsy, but at least I wasn't falling down, throwing up drunk."

 

"Elena's five mum....five...she isnt gonna be drinking for another like...ten years or so....and I didnt throw up- oh wait...never mind...I just remebered going through the park....Elena....dont go down the slide."

"Yuck!"


"See River...Ocean can drink sensibly....why cant you?" then the phone wrang "I'll get it."he said hefting himself out of his chair.

 

"Oh just before breakfast River!" Lake exclaimed. "Can we at least keep the vomit talk until we've eaten?" She sighed bringing over the first two plates in her hands, the others following behind her of their own accord. She set down the two plates she was carrying in front of River and in front of Elena. The others settled down in their designated place on their own as Lake sat down.

Ocean grinned cheekily again and stabbed a sausage with her fork. The effect was almost threatening.

 

Sorry Mum."he mumbled before almost attacking the food on his plate.

Elena giggled once more


Mickey sighed"Yeah...Cory...."he swallowed and eye'd his son,"Yeah I'll tell him....poor kid.....I'll come see Cadey later....how is she-....oh...not good huh? well he was her boyfriend."

River looked up"what do you mean was? has that git dumped her?! he better not have....I'll take his face off if he has-"

"Riv."Mickey sighed as he hung up on his brother and sat down,he looked at Lake and gave her then ' he's not going to take this well look' "Something happened...last night...after you came home..."

"what? dad what is it?"

"Danny....had a accident....Cory said it involved a car.....they took him to a hospital ...but uh....River...Danny....he...he erm...didnt...pull through...he died this mornning."

"what?"

 

Ocean dropped her fork with a loud clatter. She hadn't known Danny that well personally, but she knew he was River's best friend and he was her cousin's boyfriend. She'd seen him a few times and gotten to know him as well as you ever do get to know someone who wasn't your friend but was around all the time.

Lake gasped a put her hand over her mouth. That was the last thing she had been expecting from that phone call, it seemed that even after all this time death still followed the family like an ever present shadow.

 

Suddenly he smiled,it was slightly distrubing "Hahha..."then he became serious"Thats not funny dad...."


"Riv...do you know how much I wish I was joking?"


"Danny's fine! he's probably feel asleep in the park somewhere! watch I'll call him right now..."He reached into his pocket,he hadnt changed yet and pulled his phone out,but when he called...there was no answer....then his face dropped,a light seemed to go out in his eyes.he lowerd the phone onto the table.....his father wouldnt joke....not about that...so that must mean..."Da-Danny...cant be dead....he's my best mate......my only mate in that school! he cant be gone! "

"River...."

He shook his head "No! he just turned 18! he's too young to die!"
