"Ugh....to many blondes in this family.."she said

"Little early..aint it?"

Lyra smiled back

 

"Blondes have more fun and all that? Blondes tend to get more attention, I just sort of fade into the background..." She sighed.

"Now's not really the time for this conversation." Hermia said to River.

 

"Not all blondes....just look at River...sure he has fun...but he doest get all the attention...he was ginger when he was born y'know...like my dad."she giggled

he nodded"Hi Grandma"

 

"I've had black hair since I was born. It's just gotten flatter as I've gotten older. I had ringlets when I was a toddler." She sighed, stroking a section of her hair that had strayed over her shoulder.

"Is it okay if I use your bathroom quickly?" Hermia giggled slightly.

 

"sure honey....you know where it is."Lyra smiled "any body hungry?"

"Yeah Me...andHermia too."

"Swap? I've never had straight hair"she said tugging at a curl"Got these from Mum...River didnt you eat when you left yours...and at mines?"

 

"He's always hungry." Hermia giggled as she darted off up the stairs.

"I love your mum's hair. I'd kill to have hair like that." Amy giggled slightly.

 

she giggled "Mum's hair is pretty...mostly everyone loves it...I know Dad does."she smiled at her grandmother "River your gonna end up fat...bed ridden."

"sweet."

 

"I'm not waiting on you if that happens!" Hermia called down from the floor above, followed by a door clicking shut.

"I bet she doesn't like it though." Amy giggled.

"I love my hair, my hair's f*cking awesome!" Jacob joined in suddenly, a slightly goofy smug expression on his face.

she giggled "Nope...she doesnt...Jake your hair's weird...whose born with purple hair?"

 

"Me, apparently." He grinned. "But yeah, I don't quite get it. I think my Mum was hit with a jinx or a curse or something back when I was a foetus. That's what she says anyway."

 

"your always gonna be a mystery arent you?"

 

"If there's one thing I can do well it's the whole tall, mysterious handsome stranger bit." He grinned.

 

she giggled,sitting on the couch

 

"Never one to be up yourself, are you Jake?" Casey chuckled as he wandered into the room and settled down in his usual spot on the sofa.

"Never. I'm just as modest as you are old man." Jacob grinned.

 

"Finally your calling the right person old."River said around a mouthfull of toast,he grinned

 

"You're old too, so shush." Jacob said, sticking his tongue out. "And you have funnier reactions."

 

he growled

 

"Anyway, shouldn't we get down to what it was we came here for?" Jacob said, quickly diverting the subject.

 

"yeah...Grandma wanted to see Elena ...see how she was...after last night."

"Oh."she said

 

"Awwh~ Ickle little Elly needs checking up on." Jacob taunted, chuckling slightly.
