Chum?

This always bugged me.
Why the hell did all the old Playstation commercials have a voice of a guy saying "Chum".
What the hell does that have to do with Playstation?

 

Chum means likes a friend, so maybe it was idk, trying to be friendly.

 

Maybe they know something we don't.

 

There were adverts for Playstation?

I don't think it's an actual word, just a sound effect that they think sounds cool.​

 

Clearly the creators of the commercial were against the Playstation 2, and were implying that it was equivalent to discarded fish guts and blood, which is the alternate definition for "chum" and what is used to lure sharks in for fishing.

 

It's not a word, just a noise.

 

A noise that sounds like chum. =] Either that or we have found the biggest shark-fishing fans in the world.
