Christopher Lee passes away at 93

    Count Dooku. Dracula. Saruman.
    These are just a few of the many legendary and villainous roles that the talented Sir. Christopher Lee was able to portray. With over 250 roles and 65 years of experience in the industry, Lee had also performed a range of heavy metal tracks and recieved various awards for his efforts.

    Best known for his deep operatic voice and suave presence, he portrays the character Ansem the Wise in the Kingdom Hearts series. Having only the chance to voice the role in Kingdom Hearts II, and Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days, this marks the second well known actor in the series to have passed this year following the death of Xehanort back in February.

    His cause of death appeared to be from respiratory problems and heart failure, dying on June 7th 2015, just under 2 weeks after his birthday. His family made the official announcement on June 11th 2015. Our hearts here at KH-vids.net go out to him in hopes that he may enjoy all the sea salt ice cream he wants now.

      The eeriest thing: just yesterday, some friends and I were watching the scene of Star Wars Episode III where Anakin beheads Count Dooku...

      I'll miss this man. He was a real gentleman full of talent.

      I was devastated by Leonard Nimoy's death, and this news has turned me into an emotional mess. It is no understatement when I say Christopher Lee was among my all time favorite actors. Ever since I first saw him in Star Wars and Lord of the Rings, I could tell there was something to Lee's performances that couldn't be replicated by others. He was absolutely brilliant with his work, regardless of the role. When I heard that he'd be in KH2, I was ecstatic at the thought that Count Dooku himself was going to be in the game. And oh what a joy it was to hear his excellent performance (really helped balance the oh so banal performance by Richard Epcar). I was also happy to hear him once again in 358/2 Days, but I never knew it would sadly be his final performance for the series. I knew in my mind that the man was growing older, but inside, I refused to even think of a world where Christopher Lee wasn't around us, especially after saying he had no intention of retiring from acting a few months ago. But now I have to accept the fact that the world will never see or hear more of Lee. Thank you, Christopher Lee, for continuously impressing me since I was 10. You can never be replaced.

      The world has one less heavy metal christmas artist.

      But in all seriousness, the is very sad. To be completely honest, I didn't even know that was him in KH, but he did bring a stoic wisdom to the character with his voice alone. He made the character more than it may have been on paper.

      Tumblr lost it. Imgur lost it. People who don't live on the internet lost it. Christopher Lee was just one of those seemingly permanent fixtures of Class and Profesionalism whose power could be demonstrated more in a single action than most can show in a lifetime. These are not just nice things to say. He was, truly, a Legend.

      And, just like Robin Williams and many other of the most talented and gifted in their craft, he could "make Shakespeare out of Shlock", to quote a well-spoken article I read today on his passing. That is the mark of a great actor.

      I actually cried "NO!!!" out loud when I heard the news. I'm definitely gonna miss this guy's voice.

      R.I.P Cristopher Lee. You will be missed by many.

      I love that expression, I assume it comes from the French: "Il aurait pu lire le bottin et le rendre captivant".
      Apparently he could do it in six languages, I didn' t know that. I heard him speak French yesterday, he had a tiny accent (that I couldn' t have localized had I not known who he was) and he was obviously fishing for his next word all the time, but the gravitas was still there.
