You should really talk about the talk so people can pick, but I say Buddhism because it (Not 100% sure) say you won't go to a bad place like hell if your not a good Budda while Christianity says you will go to hell if your even a little bit bad, so we're all going to hell since no one can be good all the time. Also they say that God forgives all, but then says that you will go to hell if you don't believe in him or love him, it's like make your mind up.

I personally think that Buddhism makes more sense, but there's no way I could convert to that religon. I live with a christian family, so I wouldn't be able to do that. It's not like I don't believe in Christianity it's just that question it some times.

Well Evilman I think you get the idea of what I'm trying to say. I learned something that the believers of Buddhism say it's a way of life, but others say it's a religon. So whatever floats your boat. But it's not really about that, more about which one makes more sense in belief wise to you.

well i dont' know which one is more logical. i dont' know enough about Chrisitanity to decide, i don't even know the difference between a Catholic and a Christian. but from what i've seen, Christinaity is the one that causes more trouble with super religious ppl so i would say Budhism? but that might be an ignorant judgement on my part.

to me christianity makes more sence. in my history class we were kinda talking about it. they said there was a real jesus, and he did on the cross for saying he's god's son. then on the day he rose from the dead, a rabi who hated people who followed jesus came by one day. he saw jesus rise from the dead. he then converted into christianity.

    that's all i got.

Got nothing against Christianity but i think it makes more sense being Buddhist

I might be wrong but i thought Buddhism was more "Respect yourself and you environment". and i think christianity is sort of worshipping somebody who (in my eyes) does not exist.

But yeah... religion is always a sticky subject

I don't know to much about Buddhism...and I know enough about Christianity to know that it makes sense. What doesn't make sense is the church laws/rules/random stupid things to make it more confusing...stupid rule about not eating meat...fish is meat and we are allowed to eat meat. But the Church says you are not allowed to eat RED meat. Then I think "What about white meat?" Then the Church goes "No! Not that either." (I understand that rule perfectly so don't bother me about it). But you get what I mean?

I like Buddhism because in that religion they acknowledge and respect other religions no matter how different they are.

Being Catholic is a form of Christianity. There are different Christian church groups. Like Catholic, Protestant (sp?), Mormon, etc. They all have basically the same beliefs (except for Mormons, but I don't feel like explaining that).

I think Buddhism "makes more sense" because Christians believe in the bible, which, for all we know, could be fictional. Also, Buddhism is probably the most peaceful oriented lifestyle imaginable.

I find that both of these theisms are basically the same. Christianity is pretty much a parody of ancient sun worship, and in a way, so is Buddhism.

You can't argue for either because not only are they so similar but they really don't have any basis on reality and don't make any sense, in my opinion.

    I vote neither. 8)

To me, Buddhism would make more sense since the basic path of it is not a religion in the first place but a way to help someone be content with life and to stop strife and pain etc. Religions are paired up to Buddhism often from local regions etc but in the end, Buddhism can just be taken for the base path it presents and also there is a lot of pressure point procedures and other such things that came from Buddhism practices that really do work. It's a structure to help life make sense, to control your actions and emotions better and to be at peace with the world and realize you are a part of it; not above it. You don't have to believe in any deity to practice the path of Buddhism. All it is in the end is seeking knowledge and peace and oneness with that around.

It becomes more complicated when it is added to other things such as local deities of regions and cultural traditions, but that is the point with Buddhism. It is very adaptable. There are even now Christian Buddhists. It also works with philosophy well and science. It's hard for me to think where Buddhism can't work except for being used by zealot religious people of other faiths.

Blame the spanish for that...they wanted to add in Christian rituals/holidays but the native didn't want to change their old ways...so now we have fused holidays and stuff...About Buddhism, I don't know enough about it for me to say anything (if I said something someone would most likely try to correct me and give me a lecture of Buddhism). I fail to see how similar they are (mainly because of my lack of knowledge in Buddhism).

Well considering that Christ and Buddha have many parallels it wouldn't shock me if they were some how the same person, or shared the same teachings. Who knows what that huge gap in the bible between Jesus as a kid and Jesus as a man entailed. for all we know Christ may have met the Buddha.

Comparing one to the other is simply a matter of personal preference. In all I'd have to go with Buddhism, as it places focus on simply living a way of life that is not extreme, and living in the here and now.

Buddhism does not mean "peace." XD

Buddha means the enlightened one. Likewise, Buddhism deals with becoming enlightened in life through breaking out of the selfish habits that most people have throughout society these days....or so they say. O_O *has some of those selfish habits :3*

People say that Buddhism is just worshipping a statue that is plump and happy while Christianity is just worshiping something they can't prove that exists. But I don't wanna spend the rest of my life worshipping a statue but I don't wanna know about how christians thought of hell and things.

Buddhism, like Christianity, is simply a different perspective on how to lead ones life. Every religion has some form of icons. It's the fundamentals and their interpretation to life at the current moment that make religion such a relevant tool to bring about personal growth. Granted religion is not without its vices, but the general message is believed to outweigh this.
