~Choices~

Layla Day ran through the street with her best-maybe only- Anya. Ana was a year older then Layla herself but Layla was taller. They were very much alike- so much that people sometimes thought they were sisters- even tho they looked nothing alike. Anya had pink hair, which was dyed of course, and light brown eyes. Layla on the other hand had black hair, tied in a ponytail and hazel green eyes. They stopped running when they came a pond a large crowd. Layla and Anya pushed through the crowd and they saw people enter through the door. They were brave- and courageous enough to choice this adventure... and Layla decided right then and there that she would go too. She started to move closer to the door and Anya grabbed her arm and tried to pull her back.
"Are you nuts? Your Mom will flip," said Anya, shaking her head.
"No... She won't even realize I'm gone.." Layla said.
She pulled her hand away and walked towards the group.
"I'm going to join you if you all don't mind," She said.
Layla turned to Anya and said " Don't worry I'll be back,"
She then turned around and walked right through the door with her head held high and her tote bag on her back.
OOC: I hope this makes up from not being here from the start :)

 

"This is quite the motley crew," Hayato sighed as, one by one, the volunteers crossed the doorway. "Well, then, far be it for me to keep a lovely lady waiting," he mused as he walked through the door.

 

OOC: I'm gonna assume that she knows everyone.

BIC: Mya examined the door and thought of what she said. This is what she signed up for...right? But what was to happen in there? Could something bad could happen. Maybe death? There was only one way to find out. Mya slowly walked towards the door.

 

OOC: I'm going to assume everyone's gone through the door. And like I said at this point anything goes within reason but read eachothers posts and don't contradict eachother.

BIC: Mai frowned as she went through the door and her feet sank unexpectedly on the ground on the other side as if she was stepping onto sand. She staggered forward in suprise but looking down it was different to any sand she'd ever seen before. As she examined it she felt a breeze but not coming from the direction of the door causing her to look up. She was completely taken aback at what she saw, this place was out of this world. It seemed to stretch on as far as she could see, with no walls visible in any diection. Unusual structures towered out of the ground, and there was something strange in every direction she looked. "What is this place?"

 

John turned to Mai. He was reminded of an old show that he sometimes watched on Netflix called the Twilight Zone. This seemed just like an episode you might watch. John could practically hear Rod Sterling the narrator's voice, talking about what would happen. Mysterious posters asking for volunteers. A mysterious black door. A creepy red haired woman leads them through that door into the fifth dimension. Your next stop, the Twilight Zone. John Smiled to himself and bent down to pick up some of the sand.

 

Kayta stopped, mouth open, eyes wide. She didn't say anything at first. She simply stared. The breeze gently blew across her face, and she looked up at the ceiling, or, where the ceiling was supposed to be. All she saw was sky, with a few odd-looking clouds. So they weren't inside. But they went through the door! They had to be inside! Then she remembered a series of books that Silas had read once... The Chronicles of Narnia. According to Silas, there was a world inside a closet-thing. Well, not inside the closet, really. But the closet was a door to another world. "I guess it's real," she said quietly, more to herself then to anyone else. "We went through the door, into another world."

 

Zach stopped skipping, scratching his head and looking up at the sky. "Anybody want to pinch me? I'm dreaming and I can't wake up." he muttered. Suddenly he jumped up, followed by a fist pump, "This is sweet!! What are we all staring for?! We're here, in another world, do you have any idea the opportunities we have?" he was suddenly very hyper, but contained himself he knelt down and picked up some sand, standing straight up again and letting the sand slowly flow through his fingers. "So this is what I have so far. We went through a door, and we're in another world, as Kayta said. Now..hmm-.." he crossed his arms, "I got it! The only thing on my mind..survival." he grinned from ear to ear.

 

Layla looked in shock and awe as she entered the door.
" Can this really be.... A different world?.." she mumbled to no one in particular.
"I guess I should introduce myself.. Name's Layla- Layla Day," she announced.

 

Zach snapped out of his extreme excitement and nodded, "Zach. You don't need to know my last name." he winked as if it were an inside joke, and continued to look around. He took off his tattered shoes and threw them on the ground next to him, rubbing his bare feet on the ground, "Doesn't feel deadly." he muttered.

 

Layla watched him take off his shoes and put his barefeet on the ground.
" Are you crazy? Just because it doesn't seem bad now you never know! I'd put my shoes on if I where you," said Layla.
This guy seemed really hyper and reckless... Just like Anya's brother Gino. A pang a sadness hit her. maybe she shouldn't have gone... What if they dont... Make it out of here alive...

 

Zach shrugged, "Let me check." he bent his right knee and grabbed his foot, pulling it upward, and then in the direction of Layla, "See?" he said as he flicked a strange bug that he had no idea what it is off of his foot. "Perfectly fine." he put both feet on the ground again and did a belly flop into the sand, almost feeling as if he was sinking in. He stood up quickly, scrunching his nose up. "Nothing ever happened." he said, slipping on his shoes.

 

Layla burst into a fit of laughter. Either Zach was crazy or... Yea he was crazy ,but in a good way not a bad one.
"Damn this is going to be a fun adventure with you around- if we make it out of here alive that is..." She said

 

Kayta couldn't help it, even though she tried. She had to smile. She looked away from everyone so they wouldn't see. She didn't want to show any weakness. As she calmed herself, she looked around at their surroundings. The tall structure things appeared to be either really big rocks that looked kinda like buildings, or really big buildings that looked kinda like rocks. The sky wasn't blue, but a kind of reddish-orange color. That might be because of an upcoming storm, but it might also be that way here normally. Basically, Kayta didn't know what to think. When she could control herself, she turned back to the group. "We can't just take off," she said. "We don't know why we're here or what we're supposed to be doing." She let out a small scoff and smiled a little, just in the corner of her mouth. "We don't even know where we are. Where's the bossy chick? She'll probably tell us what to do."

 

Mya looked around in the new world. She didn't really know how to respond. Seeing Zach having fun and stuff made her want to join in as well, but she also felt as if there was something out there watching them...take them out whentheyre not in their top game. Still, it was a different world and she didn't know better. She sat down on the sand and ran her hand along it. This isn't all of what is in the other world is it? Shouldn't we expect some creepy ass monster or something like that?

 

Zach laid down on the ground again, putting his hands under his head and looked up at the sky, "Doesn't look very welcoming, the sky. Those big rock building things could be shelter. We could probably find some trees, some water, some food, some way not to die. But we should all stick together..right...?" he asked both to himself and everybody else. "The old lady better not separate us all, even though I just met all of you." he got back up again. One of the many things he hated about himself, he could never stand still. He started pacing as a compromise, Where are we? We're going to die, I can just tell. Oh well, so much for redeeming myself, there's always the next life, eh? he quietly sighed.

 

Xektia looked around in awe. The bright colours of the sky, the calmness of the breeze, the scent of the salty air- it all felt as if it contradicted each other, the different sights, the different textures. The place wasn't overly cold despite the breeze, it was just nice. She watched as Zach took his shoes off and played in the sand, she then closely inspected the bug that had fallen off his foot. "Look everyone, a bug. He's managing to survive so that must mean water is nearby... unless these creatures have evolved in a way that means they don't rely on water to survive." She smiled turning around to face them.

 

OOC: I'm in the middle of my exams so sorry if my posts aren't that good.

Mai shook her head in disbelief, "This can't be real" Before spinning round as she saw movement.

The woman watched all their reactions with amusement before finally jumping down of the 'rock' she was sat on. "Water won't be a problem, you'll have bigger problems to worry about. Welcome to my world, literally. I should introduce myself, you may call me Carmen. And I have brought you here for a reason, this world has problems and you've just volunteered to help sort them out. It won't be easy, mind."

 

Zach looked around in awe, "What's wrong with this place? Are you an alien? I don't see any civilization." he said.

OOC: Short post, sorry.

 

Xektia pushed her hair back and listened. "Well that's good, I didn't come here for easy." She smiled. "So what sort of problems are we talking about?" She was hoping for some adventure here and hoping there would be some new and interesting creatures and species to study. She hadn't studied her own world let alone this new land.

 

So they really were in a different world... interesting.. "How'd this world come to be... It'nt there just Earth? Are we still On Earth?" questioned Layla
