I was wondering how many people knew about Japan's invasion to China during WWII.

Japan's history textbooks say that they were "invited" over to China.
They leave out all the terrible things the soldiers did. I'm not gonna go into detail, but if you really do want to find out, look it up. It is kinda...intense, though.

And, because of China's nice little Communist government, China isn't really saying much about that invasion either.

This went on at the same time as the Nazi's Holocaust, and I noticed how very few people know that the Japanese were brutally tourturing and killing the Chinese. And everyone knows at least something about the Holocaust.
I don't understand why the Nazi's actions were so heavily focused on, while Japan's went almost completely unnoticed. That just doesn't seem right to me.

    Comments & response please. :3

Holy ****, this is freaky, that's exactly what we were talking about today in my American History class. Don't preach from a pedestal though, Americans did some horrible things to the Japanese in the same timeline...

Yeah, but what I'm getting at is that no one's admitting anything. Japanese soldiers could just invade China, slaughter and do other things to innocent Chinese citizens, and go completely unnoticed.
History books say a bit about what America did to Japanese citizens on American soil.

I know it was horrible , I read a book on it a few months ago .

Japan flys on swift wings invisble to our eyes mostly .

They had a lot of control over Korea too .

I haven't had history class long enough for these major discussions (only in 10th grade which is my first year of history) but I really disliked about wat they did during WWII since...well, it's my ethnicity for one...

And two, the reason they focused on the Holucoust more probably is cuz more ppl died and/or were killed much more brutally. Added with the fact that Germany was a much more powerful country at the time than their Axis allies...That mite b the reason...

I heard that the Japanese would line up all their prisoners, take a sword and run around slicing their heads off. Fun times, fun times.

WWII was a brutal war everybody knows, but most people don't know all the ****ed up stuff people did in it. Quite horrifing.

I did not know this. Then again, I'm only in Modern World History for 9th graders. The Holocaust/WWII always fasicinated me but I never heard about the Japanese going over to China. And I don't even know what they did but it sounds horrible....
