BIC: Phenox began to awaken. he looked at Scarlet. "please....." he whispered weakly

 

Eva grimaced. She was cold, covered in blood, and exhausted, but she had to finish this.....She felt pity for Pheonix, but held it in check, barely. She crawled over to him, still holding the glass shard.

 

Phenox had only one chance. breathing heavily he crawled away slowly

 

Eva followed him, her energy slowly fading away. She was just about ready to throw it and see what it hit.

 

Phenox's vision became blurry. "i can't......" Phenox passed out

 

Eva crept up behind him, sighing. She would have rather taken him out in battle, but he wouldn't have granted her the same wish...

 

Phenox forced himself awake. he laughed weakly. "going to take my life?"

 

Eva hesitated, clenching the glass shard too hard, making her hand bleed. "You would do the same to me." she spat.

 

Phenox laughed. "i suppose you're right.......... i'm sorry."

 

She faltered. This was unexpected. "Sorry?" she asked.

 

"i know. it's not like i can be forgiven at this point." Phenox laughed weakly

 

She stopped, her mind racing. Was he just using it against her? She almost wished she had brought Neoph with her, he would have known what to do. "Then why did you do it?" she whispered, her hand going numb.

 

"you are good..... i am evil..." Phenox replied simply

 

She shook her head. "That isn't enough reason." she murmured, her hand shaking. Should she let go? Or would she be making the biggest mistake of her life?

 

Phenox smirked. "i wonder what Neoph will do when you tell him i'm dead...." Phenox smiled

 

The thought of him made her drop the glass. She wouldn't be able to tell him. Her numb hand returned to life, stinging. She looked down, barely caring that a long cut made its way across her palm.

 

"why are you stopping?" Phenox asked

 

"I'm not going to do what you would do." she murmured. "I'm not going to kill, just because you are a threat."

 

Phenox laughed. he summoned a portal. "through there is Neoph's house..."

 

Eva slumped back, holding her hand against her chest. "For all I know it could be a portal to hell. Why would you send me back, anyway?"
