"how much?" Neoph asked. he didn't want her getting hurt

 

"Enough to.....at the very least, knock me unconscious....at the very most...kill me?" she murmured the last part quietly.

 

Neoph froze. "no! absolutely not! out of the question!"

 

Eva looked up at him, her eyes pleading. "We can get out of here, somewhere safer. It probably won't kill me, my mum just said that as a precaution."

 

Neoph sighed "i won't allow it...." he looked up at the sky. "when me and Phenox were friends he taught me a little trick...."

 

Eva tilted her head to the side, listening.

 

Neoph put his hand out like Phenox does when he summons a portal. Neoph was extremely focused. a portal appeared.

 

Eva watched, her eyes widening slightly. "Wow......"

 

Neoph took Eva's hand and led her inside.

 

Eva held tightly to him, looking around nervously. "I don't know if I like this...."

 

"you'll be okay..... i promise." Neoph tried his best not to show he was in pain.

 

Eva smiled slightly, then turned to look at him, narrowing her eyes. "What's wrong?"

 

"n-nothing..." Neoph said he kissed her.

 

Eva kissed him, then held him tightly, sensing something was wrong. "What's going on?"

 

Neoph laughed. "it's nothing."
