The prosecutors agreed to the plea bargain because the case rested largely on the testimony of a 5 year old girl, the victim, who made contradictory statements on the stand. Anybody else pissed off?
Oh snap, another pedo gets off easy. This really pisses me off, I live in the area of a pedo myself, I want to watch as the ****er gets dragged to jail but it didn't happen. Though I'm glad this son of a ***** is getting put in prison but a year is just not long enough. 20 years as it should be, it shouldn't of been changed.
You know what? I know people who have gone through the horrible experiences of rape and molest, some of which are close to me. I despise anyone who rapes or molests anyone. The ******* should stay in jail for the 20 years, I'm sick of this bullshit where those mother****ers keep escaping what they ****ing deserve.
Well that's completely ****ed up. I hate it when prosecutors give in, it ****ing annoys me so much I want to kill anything that moves. *rage/rage/rage* Anyone who does that sort of **** should be locked up for at least 15-20 years, especially if the victum is only 5 yrs old. That's seriously ****ed up. I think they SHOULD consider the case again and actually give him more than one ****ing year. Oh, and how the **** is a 5-year-old supposed to know what happened? It probably doesn't even know what the word RAPE means.

I'm very disappointed that the judge didn't have enough sense to realise that a FIVE YEAR OLD was on the stand. How would a five year old know what's going on? She's only little, she probably didn't have a clue about what was happening. That ******* should get 20 years, not 1.
Umm, no? This shows a gross failure on the part of the justice system. This basically means that anyone who was thinking of reporting that they were molested or raped won't because they know that the person won't get adequate punishment. I thought that in American criminals actually got proper sentences. In the UK we are lucky if they are even sent to jail. Ours are full and dangerous criminals are released on to the streets every day to make room for new inmates.
It's very lucky that he actually got any time at all. As a victim to something like that that I won't go into detail for obvious reasons, I'm glad he's actually getting time, when in some cases there is only like 1 year of probation done. Reminds me of this episode of the boondocks where he did do anything bad because he didn't want to be anally raped..... XDDDDD

She's five years old, and probably freaking nervous in a courtroom! The poor little thing doesn't have much of a chance. This world can be pretty effed up, and this is just one of those glaring examples.
Legal system = F*cked up I think it's that people get so wrapped up in systems and trials and such that they forget the basic logic of the situation, i.e. that he's going to do it again the moment he gets out of that one year.

I dislike it, that's for sure. It's a 5 year old child, they're bound to be nervous; ADULTS are nervous on the stand. Though I'm not so sure if he'd "do it again", or if he did it in the first place... but, provided he DID do it, it's terrible he got such a small sentence.
this is why i dont trust the government becauase they're a bunch of dimwits. i hope that guy gets raped every night of his sentence. Thats just plain wrong. Which state is it btw?
Poor kid, there was no way she stood a chance against the defense lawyer, that lawyer probaly confused her >.> People who hurt kids never do well in jail so at least he got some jail time, but I would perfer it if he got the full setence. It isn't right that people can hurt whoever they want and not get punished for their actions.
I really do wish there was a death penalty for them sick *******s out there who would violate and ruin the life and innocence of a mere child. The fact that the girl will never be able to get over what has happened, and he will be able to walk away a year later without a care in the world is sickening striaght to the pit of my stomach.
