Kingdom Hearts II Characters' Parents

From Riku, Sora and Kairi only Sora's parents are in the games, and only saying two lines in KH1 without even showing up. That's a bit weird, Nomura could at least show them in the end, revealing connections between them. Maybe the third series of KH will be showing them, as I don't think Nomura hasn't even thought of them. They may even be fighting in the Keyblade war o.o

Any comments?

 

In the Kingdom Hearts universe, parents are unimportant XD

Sora obviously didn't give a damn about his mum/carer after he left Destiny Island. He never even mentions her in the story, nor do we hear of her missing him or anything. I imagine it'd be weird after Sora, Riku and Kairi returned to the island. Wouldn't it be awkward with Sora and his carer?

I think an opportune moment to show that woman would've been at the start of KHII when it shows you Kairi standing at the shore on DI. She could've been talking to Kairi about where Sora is, what he's doing, etc.

But no.. Neither Sora or his mum/whatevever give a damn about eachother.

Well in Final Fantasy X, Tidus' parents were shown, so why not Sora's?

well, when DI was restored, everyone else living on there did too. (including the parents.)

Their parents might've forgot about Riku and Sora, but what's even worse is that Sora and Riku don't even mention them. xD

Anyways, in KH1, in the start where you are in DI and can train at Wakka and Tidus the other girl (forgot her name), there's this door next to the little waterfall. How come didn't their parents see what's inside and lock it?
And when they planned to leave the islands, they didn't even thought of what their parents would think.

 

The parents are just irrelivant(sp?) I'ld say, the story is about Sora and Riku and whatever not their parents missing them.

Riku doesn't really care much, at the start of KH1, just before you get the keyblade, Riku says. "We may never see our parents again." or something along those lines.

 

Everyone forgot about Sora after COM, even Kiari. not just his parents.

Also, I think Donald, Goofy, and the King serve as replacement parental role-models for Sora and Riku. that may be why they don't miss them all that much.

Plus I wouldn't be surprised if Riku had a broken home. That might be the reason why he wants to leave so badly.

The parents of most video games are ignored anyway, let's just leave it at that. If anyone's so concerned then write a FF about it.

 

Hmm, maybe. But in the first KH1 manga book, when Riku's staring at the islnd, he's standing on some sort of balconey. So.....who knows?

 

Um, because Jecht was a friggin' main character. I think if Sora's father was going to be a Jecht figure, he would have shown up already.

Jecht should be in KH, though. Seymour also.

 

welll i would have to say that even though parent are very important... in a game like this it may be a little boring to hear stuff like that...although the least sora could do is say at least ONE thing about his parents, i mean really its like he totally forgot everything but his friends, and in CoM when he is on destiny isalds, he dosen't think for a second to go see his mom or dad

 

in all honesty - I sorta forgot about parents period. I guess I got too into it I was like "Parents wha??"
