Ben and Jane just stood there silently. He knew how disapointed Jane was.

"Forgive me master...for failing you.... I wasn't as powerful as that man...I..I couldn't even protect you." Jane said, suddenly breaking the silence between them. Her eyes still drifted, catching all of the noises of the fight going on with Arrow and Matt.

"It's not your fault Jane.... you've never had to fight another Derma, you did fine." Ben replied, in his quiet monotone. There was another long awcword pause until he finally said, "Let go, it's late, I think we both just need to rest."

"Yes master."


There was a small glitter of shock in Clara's eyes for a fraction of a second. He was on Maderin's side? But then she remembered that she was in Maderin, and of course people from here would fight for their own side. But whenever she had thought of the war, and Maderin's soldiers, she thought of bloodthirsty killers who enjoyed the fighting and violence, not the man that was in front of her. "It must have been awful....to be in the war...." Clara said softly.


"Well, I've never been killed, so I don't really know, but I'm guessing that they feel pain." Annabel said to Cailen. Then suddenly she was roughtly pushed aside by a man as he yelled, "Out of my way meat sacks." Refering to herself and the man in front of her. Instantly she became pissed at the man, and actually started to follow him.

 

Drake remained silent for a while "A long time ago I killed my emotions because of a great emotional pain I felt. I could careless about which side won I just focused on fulfilling my assignment. I killed many during that war but I felt no sorrow.....or happiness" Drake said

bic: Arrow backed up further, stopping only inches away from the wall. A small laugh escaped from his lips. "Well well well. Looks like I made someone angry." he said, being careful not to move any further. Behind his foot was a trip wire, made out of a very loose material, making it almost impossible to see due to the dark lighting of the allyway. What is was meant to trip though....Arrow obviously had an idea about that.


Matt began walking forward, dragging his blade on the ground, some of the blood on it dripping onto the ground. His expression was cold and emotionless. "Christ I hate freaks..." he muttered, taking his dear time. It the backround, he could hear what sounded like guards approaching. Obviously his destroying of the meat sacks that were in his way before must have ticked off the higher ups. Almost all of them were just animals to him. He made acceptions, but besides those few, he never cared for them. Even these higher ups, they were nothing but objects in his way, and if they knew what was good for them, they'd keep away, or end up resting in pieces.

 

Cailen followed Annabel, this human had cought his attention. He was curious about her, that and he had herd a song much like his own sing by a man who was moving in the same direction. he hoped maybe he could cast some light on this situation.

Jane and Ben walked into White Wing Inn, hoping that they could find two rooms. The bell on the door rang as they walked in.

"I...I'm so sorry. I....." Clara started until she heard the bell on the door ring, it was her job to great the guests. "Um excuse me." She said as she stood up, and looked over at the door to only see the two people from he allyway, the derma girl and her master. For some reason she felt very happy, to see them. She had been worried about then when she left, they didn't seem to be harmed. "Hello!" She said joyously, "Welcom to the White Wing Inn!" By the looks on their faces they didn't recongnize her, then she realized that the girl was blind, and of course she wouldn't recognize her. "Check in is right over there."Clara said, pointing to the bar/ front desk.

Ben just nodded silently at Clara and walked towards the front desk.

Clara watched them as they walked by, then went to go sit back down with Blade.


Annabel continued to rush after Matt. When she finally caught up with him she kicked him in the back of the head. "Who are you calling a meat sack?" Her tone was deadly.

 

OOC: Christmas? Wasn't that yesterday... oh yeah you guys celebrate it one day later than us. Happy holidays then ^^
Cailen just stood and watched.

Maria had just reached the city, she was walking around looking for a place to stay for the night.

 

Matt fell forward, face first into the ground.

Arrow stood there, in utter shock, looking strangely at the woman. DId she just... he thought to himself for a moment. Even if he was a psycho, what he saw even seemed some what disturbing to him. The woman just seemed to come out of no where, and.....kicked him in the head.....things were just getting weird.


"Who the f---..." Matt grumbled, as he started to pick himself up from off of the ground, and turned his back to Arrow completely, not caring just how vulnerable he was. "WHO THE HELL GAVE A MEAT SACK LIKE YOU THE RIGHT TO KICK ME!!!" he yelled at her, his own tone sounding pretty pissed. He then scoffed, and a smirk appeared on his face. "Not that you'd have any other way of getting to me. Meat sacks are known for having to pull cheap stunts like that. As if you'd be able to land a hit on me again if you tried." he said, lightly laughing infront of the woman.


"This guys nuts..." Arrow muttered, knowing exsactly who it was that he was talking to. The woman before them was pretty well known. It was either Matt was an idiot who knew nothing about the people around them, or he was an idiot who was picking a fight with one of the most well known soldiers in the kingdom.

 

Drake looked at the two that entered and was a bit surprised to see the pai come to such a small inn. Drake then turned his attention back to his food and finished it off

 

Annabel grabbed Matt by the shirt and roughly pulled him closer. There faces were inches away from each other, but she gave him a look that most would shrink and run away from. "Call me a meat sack one more time." She threatened through clenched teeth.

"Clara, show these two to their rooms please, separates." Mr Gib called from the front desk. "Um, yes sir." Clara replied. "I'm sorry Drake, please excuse me again." She said as she stood up to lead the pair to their rooms. "Follow me please, Sir, Ma'am."

As the followed the girl, Ben glanced around the room, for some reason, it might have been an army thing, but he always surveyed the room before he came in, and/or before he left. When he noticed Drake sitting at one of the tables, eating quietly. He put his hand on Jane's shoulder for a second, a sign meaning that he was leaving her side for a moment. He walked up to Drake. "Well we meet again." He said standing next to the table.

Even though she was supposed to follow Clara to the rooms while Ben went off, she wasn't going to leave him here, especially after they just lost their very first battle. She kind of left Clara hanging as she followed Ben.

 

"I'm surprised that a high ranking captain like you would be here in a little inn like this Benjamin. Shouldn't somebody as famous like you be at some famous inn" Drake said

 

"Are you going to kill him?"Cailen asked curious, with a sound of hope in his voice. He found the situation most fascinating. Right now he was looking for proof of what Annabel said earlier. Though he hoped there wouldn't be any.

 

"It's a lot easier to keep a low profile." Benjamin said, "I'm guessing you know all about that."

"I'm pretty close." Annabel said through clenched teeth.

 

"So i was right people do like to kill each other " Cailen thought, a tiny smile appeared on his lips. He had been right all along meaning this girl had lied to him. "Lying is bad" Cailen thought. An idea was slowly beginning to take shape inside Cailens mind

 

Drake sighed "yeah I guess" Drake said calmly as he took a sip from his drink

 

"Meat.....slack." Matt said, in a some what cocky tone. "Heat lack. Feet smack. Neat Jack." Matt said, going on with numerous names that he could think up that would rhyme with meat sack. Then, with a cool expression on his face. The arrogance almost shined from his expression, with his eyes staring directly into Annabel's eyes. They seemed almost as if to display happiness towards the idea of being killed. "Meat sack, b-tch." Matt said, daring her to try and take things farther.

 

Annabel scoweld at him for a few more seconds before she lifted her foot up to his face and smashed the heel of her boot into Matts face, hard. It was so fast, if you weren't really paying attention you wouldn't have seen it.

Clara noticed that they weren't following her anymore, she turned around to see where they went and noticed them talking to Blade.

"You seemd to have gotten away from the fight without a scratch." Ben continued, as he sat down across from him at the table casually. "So tell me, who was that guy, and why was he only going after the Derma's." He asked, just assuming that Drake would know.

 

Matt's eyes went wide. It seemed almost as if there was a spark in them for just one moment, as if an actual electrical spark could have been seen in his pupils, and right before the foot hit his face, he grabbed it by the heel, with inhuman speed. The strength he was using was equally inhuman. The muscles in his right arm, his only movable arm really, seemed to be bulging suddenly, even though they didn't have the shape to really have those kinds of muscles.
He smirked a little again. "Meat sacks aren't meant to be able to challange my kind. I advise you apologize, girl." he said to her, tightening his grip around her heel only slightly, adding enouph pressure that would make most people feel a small bit of pain.

 

"I don't know who he was or why he is after Dermas. All I know is that he set up a trap for me. He got somebody to hire me and kill somebody in the alleyway. He planned to trap me there and kill me" Drake said and closed his eyes

Annabel felt the pain in her ankle, but she didn't react. She continued to give him the death stare, then tried to spin around and kick him in the head again with her other foot.

"Hm.." Benjamin said, still sitting there while Jane stood next to him. "Well then, I'm guessing whoever they are will be looking for you again soon."

 

"they will probably be looking for the girl as well" Drake said as he looked over at Jane "they werent originally after me but they went after the girl as well so Im guessing he is after all Dermas" Drake said
