Drake drew his sword and sliced the bird in half easily and put down his sword again and awaited any move that Blade had

 

Blade's expression went dull again. It took only a moment, before the blade behind Jane suddenly snapped in two perfectly identical pieces, snapping horizontally. Whilst one half of the sword stayed in its place, the other half turned around in mid air, and went flying at Drake, the point aimed at his face. "You'll have to let go at some point." he told her, a dulled expression on his face.



Matt sat down by the water fountain, and looked up at the sky. "Where's that damn client..." he muttered, as he watched the people pass by. It disgusted him. These people acting the way they were, while living a perfectly 'safe' life, under the control of some king. He hated the idea of someone having that much power, especially a human. It was disturbing to him.

Bio/History: Henry Ryans was born crazy. You wouldn't have to look at his whole body to get the picture, just his eyes. If the eyes are truly the window of the soul, then some could say he sold his soul. Henry's father kept a book, and this book called him. Being a young lad, do you think he had the powers to stop the call? Nay, and nor did he wish to. Paying it more obedience then he ever did his parents, why, he obeyed. The place he lived was found devoured in smoke, the book missing, and the parents missing, too. Running from his past, only taking the path the voices told him too, he learned some secrets which could only be called magic.

Jane didn't reply, just continued to stare blankly at him. She brought her scythes blade closer to his neck, not cutting it, just putting more pressure on it.

 

Drake sidesteped out of the way and drew his sword and put it on his
shoulder. He kept an eye on the blade that passed him just in case it could come back at him

 

Clara headed out of the Inn on her lunch brake, she wanted to get out and get some fresh air after cooking and cleaning all day. Not wanting to face the busy crowds she decided to take the back alleys to get to her usual spot at the fountain. Casually she walked down the narrow roads and alleys, taking the turn onto the alley that the fighting was going on. She stopped dead in her tracks. There was a girl with a large scythe wrapped around a very creepy looking mans neck, a floating sword at her neck, and two men with large swords looking at the two, both of them with their backs to her. Quickly she hid behind the wall, she wanted to just go back and forget what was going on, but her curious side got the bes of her. Slowly peeking over the corner of the wall she watched, waiting to see this amazing battle, but they were all just standing there, looking at eachother.

 

Drake suddenly noticed what seemed to a be another person. Watching Clara run and hide behind the wall Drake pointed his sword at the area she was at "show yourself" Drake said unsure if she was an enemy

 

Clara stared at the tip of his sword, it brought back memories of her capture in Towaira. Cautiously she stepped out from behind the wall, she looked like a fightened kitten, she had her hands clasped to her lunch basket. It was clear that she was scared, her knuckles were white from gripping the basket so hard, but she tried to keep herself from looking so frightened.

 

The moment he saw Clara he was a bit surprised at how scared she was. She reminded him of somebody used used to show that same kind of fear. Drake lowered his sword and looked at her "leave now before you get hurt" Drake said calmly

 

Clara stood there staring at him still. She took a step back, but didn't go far. "W...will they be alright?" She asked, glancing at Jane and Blade who were still neck and neck.

 

"that is undecided" Drake said as he looked over at Jane and Blade "whoever makes a mistake will die" Drake said

 

She glanced back at Jane and Blade, then at Ben who was focused on them, trying to figure out how to save Jane. Clara took a step forward, gaining some courage. "Why doesn't someone do something to help them?" When it came to other people in trouble, Clara had all the confidence in the world.

 

Drake looked back at her "I have no intrest in helping them" Drake said calmly. Drake seemed to be the opposite of Clara. He really couldn't care less about the others

 

Jane looked at them, then back at Drake, giving him an odd expression that said How could you not want to help someone? "Are they the bad guys?" she asked.

 

Drake sighed and looked over at Blade and Jane and pointed at Blade "that guy over there is the person you can call the bad guy" Drake said

 

She had figured that Blade, the very creepy looking mad was the bad guy, but she didn't want to make judgements before knowing. Clara took a step closer to Drake, she had only just met him but she felt comfortable enough around him. "Is there any way I can help?" She asked.

 

"do you know how to fight? If not then I don't think you will be of any use" Drake said looking back at her

 

"I don't know how to fight, and I don't want to get in the way, but I want to help. I..I don't think I can just walk away, especially when someone's life is on the line."

 

Drake continued to look at her "why......why do you care so much about these strangers" Drake said

 

"I...I don't know." Clara said, suddenly becoming shy again and taking a step back. "I.. I guess it's becuase I don't like to see people suffer, and that girl is suffering, they've been standing there for a long time, on the brink of killing eachother, it must be torturous to be so close to death and not be able to either reach it, or get away from it."
