Kingdom Hearts II Censors in the US version

None of the edits really effected me, other than the ones in Pirates. O_o Now, those just looked silly.

 

The european Version is the same like the U.S. as far as I know.

(I've got the german Version) Axel's Death is censored, I'm not sure 'bout Xiggies Weapons...
And I don't care about Will...

If there's ever a release outside Japan, than I want the japanese Version.

(In Germany they're too lazy to take the original version and translate that and always take the US Versions)

And if there's something that's to bad, they change that. Just like Roxas said to Riku:"Shut up!"
In german it's something like:" How should I know?" (when he askes him why he has the keyblade)
Well...we've got KH1 and KH2 with a rating at 6 years not 12.

 

Another thing they censored was that in the Jap. version on Olympus Coliseum, the Hydra had green blood that spurted out when you killed one of it's heads. In the US version, it just released a black and purple aura.

Anyways, it makes me kinda mad that they'd censor it. I agree with Disney not wanting the characters in violent games, but do they think that Americans can't handle it?

 

I hate teh censors! I mean, it totally takes away from teh charries.
When my Xiggy obsessed 8-year old sis found out they censored his gun, she screamed.

I REALLY want a uncensored game, too!

It seems no german translator can speak english (I've got the german KHs too...) There are many mistakes like these ones. I guess the german one is really bad translated/censored.:yelling:

 

Uncensored, that's what I would prefer but we all know it's not up to Sqaure Enix because Disney are in it, and since Disney is in it, they won't allow that kind of violence and we all know what disney are, they are BASTARDS! I MEAN I CAN'T BELEIVE DISNEY DOSEN'T LIKE VOILENCE, LOTS OF GAMES HAVE IT, LOTS OF PEOPLE HAVE SEEN IT, IT'S TOO LATE TO HIDE VIOLENCE!

Actually, KH2:FM+ is all uncensored.

The censorship is due to Disney personel are obviously more abundant in America, they don't want a game that they are involved with go too far for violence. But Disney should realize that this game isn't supossed to be a five year old's game, it should be more T to E-10.

 

I really don't c wat's the big deal. For me, I don't really care if I miss a 30 second scene of Axel burning to death. (It a good thing he died! *Wat, I didn't say nything, moving on...*)If its really a big deal for you, just go watch Vexen being burned to death in RE:CoM. It's close enough and most ppl would b happier for watever reason they hate him for. (I on the other hand respected the guy and was glad that Axel died. Don't ask, I just didn't like him.)

As for Xigbar's Sniper, I also don c wat's the big deal about missing a 20 second FPS mode of a few lines and triangles shooting at a kid. It's close enough in the US version so wat's the big deal. If you're really obssessed with that, go stare at a Halo sniper or something, maybe it'll cheer u up.

I do agree that Port Royal had a lotta censors, but I didn't see much harm considering they covered up the important points. I thought that it made more sense with the pirates shooting crossbows cuz it's kinda awkward watching a kid surviving a headshot without armor or anything like they do in Halo. (Then again, itts a videogame. All kinds of weird stuff happens)

So I would like to have them uncensored. But considering the circumstances in the US and such, its acceptable. And they didn't take out TOO much, so its not that bad. (If they replaced the gunblade with a regular steel sword or something, that would be a problem...)

 

Damn right it is, I mean it's a little too late for Disney to be censoring vidoe game.

This was supposed to a video game that is more suitable for teenagers, not little kids.

They should have just released like a censored version, then an uncensord verision of the game, later on.

But NOOOOOOO, Disney is like the typical clicheous company.

 

Actually the Hydra had blood originally.

 

Yeah, I also noticed that in KHIIFM, they changed the Hydra's blood to black smoke, because of the editing in the english version of KHII, but they still kept the scene where is being burned, and Xigbar combining his weapons into a sniper rifle, and I pretty, they kept the parts where in Port Royal, Will pointed a gun to his head, threatening the Pirates, and Jack getting stabbed by Barbossa, for KHIIFM

 

The one censorship that I kinda agree with is removing the Hydra's blood, its kinda too much.

 

I noticed that in almost every thing distributed from Japan and sent to America is censored.Think about it....Axel going down in flames,all that blood in the PotC World,Sailor Moon transformations,all those are censored but I live in Asia so these don't get censored.:p I <3 Animax and that Manga store
