Dr. Kurosawa's Log: Discovery of the Shards
Tokyo, Japan
22:20

"Hello, I am Akiro Kurosawa and I have discovered something remarkable"

The Camera moved onto what appeared to be a silver gem that had a few pieces missing on it hooked onto a platform which inturn was connected to a computer.

"This gem fell into my yard during a meteor shower adorned in a strange aurora borealis from the sky...I am currently performing an analysis on the thing in question to determine it's origin"

The gem started to speak slowly "You.....will.......serve....me" shortly before a glowing silver tentacle of energy slammed into the camera knocking it out before all that was left...was screaming



~Three Months Later~
[Japan]

Japan gains a new emperor and delegate by the name of Zeno Genestic with Dr. Kurosawa having gone missing since that night. Monsters have started to appear all around the world trying to look for those shards for varying purposes. The U.N decides to deem any creature from the other universes as a threat with leaders declaring orders to execute and kill any of them on sight. While all of this is going on Zeno starts to prepare his army to recover the remaining shards scattered about the Earth


~One Day Later~
[Residence of Shrley & Kenny Pierce: Olive Hill, Ky: United States]

"Let's see here...am I flying over the right location?" a voice replied to himself as he flew about the night sky inside a small pod. The figure was obscured by a shadow protecting his identity as he landed his pod on a gravel driveway with an orange light shining on the pod making the figure's glasses shine and revealed his shape to have a hat on with short hair.

The glass dome on the pod opened with the figure jumping out of the pod carrying a small box with him.

"Yep...this is it...Olive Hill, Kentucky.....located in the U.S.A....and the house I need to deliver it to" the figure said as he walked up the concrete ramp and looked at a trashcan full of popcans next to the back door before setting the package right on top of it.

"Let us hope this will work before they arrive here" The figure said once more as he ran back into his pod and began to press buttons causing the pod to make a whirring sound and a large blue M to light up on the front.

The pod then floated into the air before vanishing in a blue light with a faint sound of "EX-TER-MIN-ATE!" being heard from the sky along with a few blue dots that could be seen as several metalliac looking robots with a plunger and a blaster for arms landed in the back-yard obviously trying to look for something.

[Enemy Classification: Dalek Drone]

"WE HAVE LOST THE HU-MAN TAR-GET! RESUMING MISSION!" one of the Daleks replied as the two lights on it's head lit up while speaking. Oddly enough there was a small white glint of light located on the roof of the house. The ten or so Daleks turned their heads before spotting a Light Shard right in their view.

"SHARD DATA HAS BEEN CON-FIRMED! PROCEEDING WITH EXTRACTION!" Another Dalek yelled before starting to hover off of the ground and towards the tin roof.

 

A pink haired woman crouched behind a building before darting out, blasting bullets into one of the drones. "You're not going anywhere!" she shouted and jumped onto a drone's head and pushed herself off into the air after the drone heading towards the shard.

 

A tall alien crouched down, hidden for the most part behind some trash cans. He observed that the Daleks were flying towards the light shard. Kr'ak Thar stood up. After many, many months of attempting to track down the shards, he had found one. He bared his fangs, growling slightly as he saw the pink haired woman moving towards the shard. Knowing it was not the one that had caused so much chaos to his homeworld, he had come to realise that there had to be a shard of equal power to balance the other out, or so he thought. He believed the light shard was the one to balance the other out, and he believed the pink haired woman was in the way of getting it. His warrior instinct taking over, he leapt out from behind the trash cans and began hurrying over to the shard.

 

Kai took a step out of the shadows to the street. He was wearing a dark black robe around him. The time had come for his existence to be known my the human race. Cars came speeding at him, all trying to come to a sudden stop. Both cars were able to pull the breaks. The men came out screaming at Kai telling him to move off the road and get lost. Kai glared at the man to his right. The man suddenly collapsed. Kai had moved so fast he couldn't be seen by the naked eye. The other man looked surprised and began to run back to his vehicle. Kai sweeped from behind, took out his scythe, and sliced the man in half. "This will certainly get people worried about @#!*% coming out." Kai released his long black wings and glided up to the top of a skyscraper. "Those shards are as good as mine. Others will be trying to capture them, I'm sure of it. They are about to realize this game has many players." Kai stood there, waiting for something to present itself. That moment didn't take long at all, shards came hurling form the sky. Kai flew out to gather his prize.

 

The sole Dalek that was being shot at was trying to protect itself with a forcefield shortly before it overloaded from the shots and exploded violently in a blaze of glory. The remaining eight Daleks began to fire upon both the pink haired woman and Kr'ak Thar in order to protect the remaining Dalek that was still after the Light Shard.

Meanwhile a few Dark Shards were flying towards Kai but then came to a sudden halt as the Dark Shards proclaimed "I'm afraid you owe me what is rightfully mine" shortly before glowing a faint purple and fired an orb of dark energy at Kai. It was obvious that like before with the being that stuck Kurosawa this mass of shards was also sentient

 

Kai flew over to the shards. They stopped falling at his altitude. They whispered something that Kai couldn't make out. The shards shot an orb of energy at Kai. The ball moved lightning quick. Kai barely had time to evaid the blast. The orb chipped a few feathers on his wings. The blast slowly imploded behind him. Kai looked back over at the shards. "Tough guys are you. I don't recall my shard to have been so stubborn. Oh well. Its not a game without a challenge now is it." Kai began to chuckle. He quickly glided over to the shards. trying to capture them one by one. Each shard was quicker than the shot of dark energy. This made Kai furious. He could not get a grasp onto any of the shards. He exploded with fury. His eyes turned blood red. His speed doubled. This wasn't enough however. He grabbed one shard and the rest scattered. "Damn, Lost that level. Guess I have to set off on adventure mode for the rest."

 

Icy blue eyes darted towards the other drones heading towards her and flicked briefly to the man chasing after her. Always in her way... Flipping herself in the air, her gun transformed into a blade and she slashed through the drone heading for the shard. Landing in front of the shard, she grabbed it up and turned to glare at the remaining drones. Snapping her fingers, the woman glowed with an electrical blue energy and she lept straight at the rest of the drones as if gravity had no hold on her.

 

Kr'ak Thar growled once more. So i have some competition for the shard. Very well he thought to himself. With a tremendous roar, he flung his entire body mass at Lightning in an attempt to interrupt her from making off with the shard.

 

"THIS IS ILLOGICAL! THE HU-MAN HAS NO GRAVITY!" were the last words that the flying Dalek spoke before exploding with his remnants falling to the ground.

The eight Daleks that remained then noticed a light come on inside the house and the back door opened. A man in his 40s with gray hair on his face in a pair of shorts came out onto the porch carrying a shotgun yelling "GET OFF MY PROPERTY YOU SONS OF *****ES!" shortly before firing a round upon the Daleks.

Of course the owner of the property had no idea that bullets were ineffective unless you kept firing rapidly upon a Dalek. He watched as the bullet dissapated in the forcefield generated by the Daleks

"PATHETIC HU-MAN! EX-TER-MIN-ATE!" One of the Daleks roared before they started rolling out of the way of Lightning and towards the open door blasting the man with point-blank shots instantly killing him and knocking him to the floor before the eight stormed right into the Kitchen/Dining Area of the residence.

[Pierce Residence: Kitchen/Dining Area]

 

Lightning was knocked to the side, her gravity dissipating. She rolled to her feet and drew her blade again, "What!? No... Move!" She darted past the odd man and tried to run after the drones. It was bad enough that she had no idea where she was, but now people were dying in front of her. An old blonde friend's words echoed in her head, "I'll protect them all and save Cocoon!" Dispatching another drone in front of the doorway she huffed, "Yeah right."

 

Another Dalek fell apart due to Lightning's actions as the box from earlier started to shake violently.

Two Daleks then stopped as their armaments turned to face Lightning shortly firing their lasers at her. A third Dalek then turned around and started to charge at Lightning with it's plunger arm extended yelling in fury "DIE!"

The other four Daleks then proceded on into the hallway nearby and rolled towards the back before turning left into a bedroom where a woman was sleeping in a waterbed. The Daleks the proceded to blast upon the waterbed before blasting apart the woman as well

 

The woman ducked under the fury of lasers and cast what appeared to be magic. A spell called Ruinga imploded on the drones in front of her.

Kai looked down below to see a battle taking place within a house. "Ah, the players have entered the arena. Maybe the power of this newly acquired shard will strengthen me somehow. Hopefully I can control at least one being." Kai focused the shard onto a Dalek. It came into his control. The shard spoke out to him that this could only be achieved for the next 5 minutes. "Not very much time, but it will have to suffice. Now if you are anything like the demons from Hell, then I should be able to command you from speaking into the shard. Use whatever you can to destroy your fellow race among you." Kai ordered. The creature back up a bit and shot his kin in the back with a laser. This did not completely destroy them however. It appeared Kai had taken the Dalek with the weakest attributes. "Dang. I guess you really do have to start at level 1. It'll have to do for now." He waited for a reaction from the others.

 

Three Daleks remained after their forces were dwindled by the combined efforts and attacks done to them. "WE WILL NOT RETREAT FROM INFERIOR LIFE-FORMS! EVEN IF WE HAVE TO SACRIFICE OURSELVES!" One of the trio of Daleks yelled before the three rolled towards Lightning and oddly stopped a few feet away. Afterwards they floated into the air as the orbs on the lower halves came out surrounding them before glowing and then self-destructing themselves trying to take Lightning with them.

 

Kr'ak Thar looked up into the sky, trying to search for more shards that may have been taken by the robot things. He saw a strange thing, appearing to channel the power of the shards. The robots must be being controlled by that creature..to capture the shards..he may have delivered the shard that caused the destruction of Insellatron, he thought to himself. A deep, threatening growl escaped his throat as he assumed that the creature with the shard had caused the slaughter of his planet. Using his powerful hind legs, he leapt up high and towards the creatue, his sword pointed at the creature's torso.

OOC: Creature's Kai, just puttin it out there.

 

Kai ordered the creature to self destruct. Oddly the other ones came to the same conclusion. This had no effect on any of the fighters. "Looks like I hit 0 damage. The attack missed. Hmph. Time to regroup." As he was about to head out, A human like creature jumped up into the air with his sword to try and end him. Kai summoned his scythe to block the attack. "You think you can take out the final boss at level 1 alone. You are a joke sir," Kai laughed.

 

Noticing the change of the creature's stance Kr'ak raised the sword above his shoulders as he soared towards Kai. He bared his fangs, growling again slightly as he shouted out "War is not a joke!". Adrenaline rushing through his body, he swung the blade with all his might at the blade end of the scythe in an effort to dislodge it from Kai's grip, or at least jar his hands.

 

The creature dislodged Kai's weapon. He spoke of war. "War you say? I am not trying to cause war. If the game progresses and the AI decides on war, so be it. Until then, this is a collector's challenge." He looked down at his scythe. "Did you know that these shards have a mind of their own. Maybe you should ask my scythe." Once said, the scythe came shooting up slightly chipping the creature in front of him drawing blood. "The glare in your eyes tells me you want to kill me. Lets save our progress for the rematch. Good day" With that, Kai began to fly away.

 

Kr'ak Thar began to fall, Kai's words causing him more grief than the small injury he had sustained. Not trying to cause war? How is destroying someone's home planet not a cause for war? he pondered. He attempted to angle himself in the air so that he would land on his feet, but failed terribly, instead crashing onto his back. Slowly and surely, he got back onto his feet. It was now that the injury he had sustained decided to impact him, sending a searing pain up his right forearm. He cringed in pain, but he began walking towards the house that had had a lot of commotion within it.

 

12 more Daleks flew into the backyard...but something seemed off with them. Their coloring was now mostly silver and gold, Their eyes had become larger, Their bottoms had become thicker, their weaponry had now consisted of two clawed arms with a blaster in the middle. It seemed now that someone had tampered with the Daleks

Four gold and silver bell-shaped plants popped out of the ground emblazoned with a gold star with a silver outline on it to help these new Daleks before lastly a large white marbleed angel wearing gold/green wielding a giant golden axe with a halo on it's head.

"EXCUSE ME! WE KINDA NEED HELP GETTING OUT HERE!" two voices yelled from the white box before there was the sound of a push from inside and the box fell onto the porch. This caused one of the new Daleks to look at the box before saying in a calmer tone "Datascan shows that there is sentience from that box...destroy it!"
