There have been several user-created ones, but if you're talking about an official KH-Vids one? I suppose we could but I really don't see the point, we have the site itself as well as our Twitter, no need to add more to the list.
Plus there's the whole privacy thing, not sure how many members here would be fans of a page there since it's pretty easy to figure out who's who.
I kind of see that as irrelevant. It's each users choice. I know personally I wouldn't have anything to do with it if one were to be made. Just like I have nothing to do with the twitter. But then again there are plenty of young users who wouldn't think about that and then feel forced to join such a page to be part of the community...
I'm going to say no. Even though privacy on Facebook is none of our concern, the drama that will more than likely erupt there will be backlashed on the forum. This is the same reason we don't have an official chatroom. We cannot, and will not moderate anything (other than the twitter account) outside of KHV for this reason. Like Misty said, there are fan-made groups on there for KHV that you can join at your own risk. Just be aware they are not official and that the staff have no connection with it at all. Maybe if this site targeted older members we would take it more into consideration, but we don't have any plans to make or promote a Facebook page in any way.
moar drama the better jk seriously but i would say no because isn't this website enough i mean if you have time to go to facebook than well just go here why take away from this site and add to facebook it just wont work in my eyes .
I was actually agreeing with this until I thought of the countless of groups on Facebook that have so many profiles on different sites such as celebrities and news stations. While I somewhat agree that it would be a bad idea, I could also see how it might work. Not as a place for a discussion and stuff (We have the forum for that), but the same way as the Twitter works (I'm only assuming, I've never checked out the twitter); that is, when we have news, post a link. It could possibly put a little more traffic to the site (*John Doe joined the group Kh-Vids.net, Kingdom Hearts News* "Oh, what's this page my dear friend John is joining? *clicks* Omg, I love Kingdom Hearts. There's a new game coming out?!?!?!!111//1!/??! *joins site or lurks for news*"), but I don't know if that seems practical. I know Marvel's facebook has tons of pictures from the comics and they always ask people "who do you want to see more of?" and people will give them a name and depending on who Marvel likes most, I guess, they'll post a picture or two of that character, so something like that might be fun? As for the drama, I know there are certain pages that restrict members from posting any wall posts. They'll post polls, links, statuses, and people comment and talk, but they can't post for themselves (I've seen this in a few places like news stations' facebooks). So yeah, I guess it could work, but I don't know if the possible benefits outweigh the possible disadvantages. If the staff thinks it's a good idea (small chance of that, no one seems to >>), then I don't even think they have to do it. It could be moderated by a group of members so staff doesn't have to worry about anything. Problem with that is the other member created KHV pages don't last long (the ones I've seen) so whoever's in charge would have to keep it going by it being more than a "DO YOU LIKE KHV? CLICK HERE" kinda thing.
It could give a little boost to the traffic here, and that would be good, but unless there are many people joining that page it will have no affect on here. But I don't think it would work out anyways.
