    @PAW- I like your post.

Yes, prioritizing would be the greatest trouble in my eyes. It all depends on the people at hand (as Kay said) because feelings of jealousy and being unequal could easily arise. One person may feel the other two are closer and feel excluded, or feel that attention isn't being shared. It would take three very special people indeed to be able to maintain happiness in a three-way relationship.

Unless, you know, they're all just in it for the sex. And even then one could become jealous. xD

It is true that we don't know much about love, but I can say with full knowledge that the love I'd have for my girlfriend and the love I have for my sister are completely different.

I don't deny that love has a lot of forms, but the main point I was trying to put across is that love is not as restricted as our thinking can be. We may think we can only love one person one particular way, but that may not be the reality of things. Like you don't choose your family and the unconditional love that is suppose to come with it or who you fall in love with when you first meet them or even when you last ever meet them.
It reminds me of the case of Clive Wearing. He suffered brain damage from an infection in his brain leaving his long term memory to be damaged. As such he couldn't recall more than around 30 secs of what had happened. A shame really. But one of the few things that he remembered was his wife. Every time he saw her it was as if they hadn't of met in a long time and he embraced her warmly. She could leave the room for a minute and get the same response. Check it out on YouTube it's very sweet.
But what I found surprisng was how out of all the things that was kept intact it was the meory of his love for his wife. Love conquers all, in a way.
Controlling such a force of nature seems almost impossible in my mind.

Basically you'll have to share your love and accept that it is being shared, and you should be able to push yourself aside for someone else's sake. Plus you'll have to keep this up when the initial "butterflies" fade out.
It's possible if you have low self-esteem, a negligible amount of pride, immunity to envy and tons of patience. Which is pretty rare in one person, let alone all three.
I advise against it in most cases, especially at young ages, but it has been and is being done.

I myself would try my hardest to avoid such a predicament, but if it becomes inevitable I'd let my loved one make the choice of either choosing me, choosing the other person or trying to settle with both of us. I don't want to claim someone as my own, nor do I want to push someone away who genuinely loves me. That being said; bullets will need to be bitten either way. I can imagine there'd be moments where I or someone else in the "triangle" would start wondering if it's all worth our whiles.

You're kinda killing your argument there; there are people who love their sister like their girlfriend. I'm not really going anywhere with that, but it's something to think about.

My sentiments exactly. Well, not exactly exactly; he put it in better words.

Fundamentally it works out to be the same as a one-on-one: There will be challenges, and if the love is true, you'll power through them together. There's just a different set of challenges as a trio.

It all really depends on if they are okay with it. If it's possible for them to live like that, then they can do it. No one elses opinion should matter. As long as they all get treated equally and not one over the other.
Love is pretty crazy but I'm sure that things can work out.
    Also take out the jeleousy...

Yeah, some of people have a kind of pride that makes them unable to make friends with opposite gender and so on.As they have a big pride, they usually gets easily to fall in love.. as what my slice of life says.

It's not so much pride in the point I'm trying to make but that as well.
Pride can cause the relationship to go down hill. Soo they'll be competeing against eachother and it'll all get messy.

I'm not mad or anything, but the slightly annoying thing that I keep noticing with these arguments saying that "the three people relationship is possible" is that people rely on the vastness of the world without necessarily using concrete examples.

Basically, people are saying "well the world is so damn big that I bet there's someone out there who's been in a relationship with three people...there simply has to be a person like this because the idea has probably been considered before."

That isn't concrete. Not only that, but the fact that people are listing so many conditions, so many hoops to jump through only makes it seem harder for this to be achieved.

"It's possible if you have low self-esteem, a negligible amount of pride, immunity to envy and tons of patience."

How many people are like this? I'm not saying these are the set in stone qualities, but this is describing...10,000 people at most? Not only that, but just because it works for them doesn't mean it works.

I agree with this. Although, the title of this thread is "Can three people be together?", not "Is it probable for three people to be together?"

    Hmmmm well

I really don't think it would work. Even if its with people that really want to make it that way. Cause one my feel like they aren't getting eonugh attention from the other. Or one is working way too hard to make it work. But it maylike a .0000000000000000000000000000000000000000001% chace it may work. If its what the people really want. And they have agreed to the fact that they may not be getting the affection that they want. And there cool with that. But that's just how I see it as a maybe. But back to the noo part... Um to me that really isn't true love. Its just being greedy, and really have no sense of confidence in what your heart is telling you.(Like I should be talking... for the confidence part anyway)And also it makes yout the biggest jerk to ever walk the earth. Cause in the end your hurting someone, and that may really not be so easy to repair.

    How does the saying go?

    Two's company?

    Three's a crowd?

Four on the sidewalk's not allowed?

I feel as if there were three people together like that, there would be too many issues: feeling like a third wheel for one, and maybe some sharing issues ("You did her last night,it's my turn"). Hard for me to picture something like that, really.

    Wait

It may work out. But to me what you have to do is make srue that all of you are in the truest of true love. With that alone it may not be enough. But then that form of love will help you go through with it. If the people are like that anyway

    Yea your right

But still it may never hurt to... Forget wat I said.Try to see if someone can handle two other people down their necks and still want to be with them. Not only that the amount of stress that would cause is like not even for words.I mean I really don't think it could work out at all. That doesn't mean someone won't try. That's y I put maybe. But could you ever think that your day sucked at work and then come on to even more bs. But the extra bonus is that you have not one. But two people giving you even more bs. Congratz man(Not to you Hell Kaiser Ryo
)you will want to kill yourself that same day.Like that or something
