Kingdom Hearts II Can someone help me get soemthing straight?

I have a reason why I don't think it's the lighting.

If it WAS, then why are they the brighter green in Betwixt and Between? It has the same sort of light as Hollow Bastion, and in HB, his eyes tend to be paler.

My theory is that it's either 'emotions' or something we haven't even heard of before.

 

Maybe it's due to the environment he's in. You know, shading and stuff. He's in a lot of different worlds.

 

I have never noticed that Axel's color change. But lets get to the point...


Axel's eyes are green right? The only change is the birghtness right? Then don't make a disscution! The brightness only changes, so what! It has to change! I mean, if you cry your eyes have a more bright tone. No point for disscusing.

I made a topic about it because it's much more drastic a colour change than anything we've seen in KH so far, other than Riku's eyes changing from blue to aqua, and then to orange when he took the form of Xehanort. It's just something I thought people may have noticed and maybe have a theory about it.

I never really noticed his eyes changing color xD.

 

Riku's eyes were never plain blue. They were aquamarine in KH and CoM and then in KH2, because the graphics were better and the characters made somewhat less cartoony, his eyes were made more real and thus they look smaller and with a bit more green added. Riku's eyes were never orange that was declared. The eyes were of Ansem's Heartless.

However, I didn't see anything wrong with making the topic so let's not slam Illusionary Oblivion for that, guys. Even if you agree or disagree, no need to get ugleh.

 

Maybe our definitions of colour are different... I've always seen them as being bright blue (lighter than Sora's) in KH1... but anyways... thanks for saying that, Repliku. Kinda helps with my confidence... heh :)

 

Axel: I used to think that too, but it's really just the different environments and lighting that does it.

I guess that his eye colour changes depending on his emotional state,like said before.For example it is clear that his eyes change colour whenever he is in a fight.

Are we talking about Riku or Axel? XD Riku, I can understand...and Repliku explains it all...as for Axel...he's a Nobody. No matter how close to an emotion he may feel, he can never truly experience it. He might have shed one tear in the scene in KHIIFM, which might lead to his eye color changing slightly, but other times...it should not. As for the battle, he is moving constantly, so the lighting will change around his eyes. So basically, it's the lighting, the scenery around that depends on the change of eye color. Whether he's tilting his head down, up, walking...it may contribute to its change.

 

I remember my model files of him changing the tint depending on which I choose. Its probebly just to add more 'emotion' like you said.

 

One thing I noticed, is, if it's the lighting or the area he's in, that NO-ONE else's eyes change like that. It seems unlikely they'd do something like that for one character's graphics, and no-one else's.

That is a major reason why I say it's NOT lighting.

Still, if you guys can think of something to prove my take on things is wrong, I'm all ears... err... eyes...
