Kingdom Hearts II Can someone help me get soemthing straight?

Axel's eyes change colour. Seriously, look up some Axel vids on youtube... I was just wondering if anyone could help out with thinking of a reason for this.

In some scenes, they're bright emerald-green, but in others they're silvery-watery-green... They also seem to change quite constantly...

Please, someone help me out here?

 

In what instances do they change? Maybe the change reflects what Axels motives are (such as whether or not he's really working for the organization. Or whether or not he feels he has a heart...Or perhaps this means that his inner soul--entire being you may say, is conflicted. Confused, hurt, lonely, scared, dark, betrayed, content...Or maybe it's just a glitch (shrugs).

 

They change in practically every scene I've looked at to check if I was imagining it or not.

It may be to reflect his 'emotive' state, but I dunno... They DO seem to change more in scenes where he's 'feeling' strong emotions... hmm.

Doubt it's a glitch, though... because if it is, it's one hell of a big glitch...

 

I wouldn't consider it a BIG glitch (if it is one at all)
maybe it's the lighting in that area...

 

The change seems way to drastic for the lighting to be the cause, though. I mean, if he had hazel eyes, or something, I might believe it, because they 'change' because of a lot of things. But green stays green... usually the SAME green... no matter what the lighting is...

In Re:CoM, his eyes are pretty much always the bright green I described earlier, never the paler one, despite the fact that he's basically always seen in pale white light. In KH2, though, that's when the pale green comes into play. It IS seen more often in areas where the lighting is dimmer/paler (like Hollow Bastion and the Old Mansion in Twilight Town) but it's just too big a difference...

 

I think it's primarily from lighting. Square's not THAT stupid to unnotice such a big "glitch"

 

I'm kind of confused really. To me, they always seemed to be the bright emerald green color and changed according to lighting, as did his marks beneath his eyes, which some friends and I had some debate over what color the tattoo marks were due to that. I think they just changed to what was around but were meant to just be that brilliant emerald green.

 

It's probably just the lighting of the area or something. I never really noticed it. Riku's eyes also change from kh1(they where blue) to kh2 (they where green)

 

I thought he had this special blue/green colour...

Anyways, I have NEVER noticed eyecolour changes like this - I'll be sure to pay extra attention the next time I turn the game on, thanks for the pointer.

 

It just doesn't seem possible for the shade of lighting in an area could have that great an effect on green eyes...

 

I suppose it's lighting...I mean, it's not blue or anything. It's still a shade of green. Maybe it got really dark/twilight, and it's color changed a bit, or its reflecting something (such as an ocean, the sunlight, etc.). Either that...or it's a game glitch/mistake. xDD

 

I never really noticed, but I doubt it holds much importance. There are loads of people in real life who have changing eye colors, just think of it like that.

 

My eyes switch color like everyother day so his eyes are probably like mine =D *dances around* it's not uncommon my friend's do the same thing.

either that or he has magical eyes or just the lighting.

 

Yeah, mine do it too because they are hazel with brown, green and blue in them and people often mistake my eye color.

However, his eyes always appeared emerald green to me but for a few scenes where they look like a paler green. I would just pass it off to lighting really.

 

*watched a few videos* Oh, so they are. :/ I guess I just thought they looked more blue when he was in the water in the intro to KH.

Well I never noticed it, SquareEnix could have just exagerated it a bit so you could see the differences in lighting effects though.

 

It's just something that really caught my eye... After all, in most things like KH, changing eye-colour usually means something to do with an 'other side' or something...

As for it maybe being just natural changing like in the real world, I've never really heard of it happening with decidedly-green eyes. Hazel, yup (got 'em myself...)... various blue-greens/blue-greys/green-greys... yeah... but never pure green.

*shrug* Maybe I'm thinking too much about this... heheh...

 

Whats the big deal? Its just lighting that makes his eyes look different....

 

they are green... they are all ways green... they dont change at all... and axels tattoos are black like teh cloaks to symbolise darkness and the pain he feels not having a heart...

 

Must be his emotions for sure. Instead of a mood ring to tell your mood, he's got his eyes to do it for him lol!

 

Dude I think you're right I just watched a vid with Axel in it, his eyes did kinda change color.
