No, it's because it's a boy's teams.
I'm not saying girls can't play sports
just not on a team that's made for boys.
You have the NBA and the WNBA.

Like the majority of posts said, it's cool to have a co-ed team, all-boys team, and an all-girls team.
But if its an all-something team, anybody that's not that something shouldn''t be allowed to play.

No, it's because BOYS teams are meant for BOYS like GIRLS teams are meant for GIRLS and CO-ED teams are meant for BOTH. Is that really so hard to understand? Stop trying to put yourselves into the victim role by pulling the sexist card; it's really not helping your case.

It is the reason why BOYS go into the BOYS team and GIRLS go into the GIRLS team. Sports rules are even different with some sports, look at lacrosse. Girls get fowls by just having their stick come into contact with their stick, But in the boys game they can hit each other kingdom come.

...wait, what?

Are you a troll, or did you just ignore everything that's already been stated? If girls were allowed to play on boys' teams, then they wouldn't be BOYS' teams, they'd be COED teams. That's why we have these wonderful things called GIRLS' teams. For the GIRLS.

This of course would also mean that boys can play on girls teams, participate in girls nights out and shower together with them. Because there is of course no good reason for the sexes to be separated. Works for me.
...No it doesn't but it's just an analogy I use to point out the stupidity of your standpoint...and many along with yours.

No. Plain and simple. If a girl wants to be on a boys' team or vice versa, then petition for a co-ed team. Depending on the contact, people will inevitably, no matter what they say, play differently because of it. Let's take football. It's a high contact sport. If there's a girl on the team, the other team is going to have a tough decision. Be the wuss who wouldn't tackle the girl or be the dickhead that DOES tackle a girl. Either way, they lose. Guys teams are for guys. Girls teams are for girls. You want on the other? Start a co-ed team. There is no sexism involved. We live in a society ruled by gender selection. It's not necessarily a bad thing in some aspects, but it puts a lot of reputational restraints on people who actually thrive on what society thinks of them.

tl;dr
Boys on boys team. Girls on girls team. Co-ed if you want the other.

I kinda think of it like Gracie, or Kick It Like Beckham.
There's a lot of reason's I'd love to see a girl on like a USA team for the World Cup, but of course it would lead to a lot of controversy since it's not a unisex-football league championship. There are plenty of Unisex teams where I live, and they even teach soccer to children in unisex groups. But I hit Middle School and there was a separation since there are hormonal differences and physical types. I understand the difference, and I think it should stay that way.

You don't know this when you're in the opposing team and see your adversaries for the first time.

In an ideal and egalitarian world hitting a woman would be just as legitimate as hitting a man. But it's not. if every sport was Co-ed I wouldn't see a problem, as long as everything else about it was egalitarian. But that's a perfect world. For now just be happy you have legs to play soccer.

That is not the point whether she is tough enough, It just means that there are reasons why teams are separated, Like in my earlier post there could be different rules in the sport with girls and boys.

No. Girls should not be on boys teams. I'm not a huge feminist, so I think that men are naturally stronger than women, and should have their own sports team. Plus, if I was on an all-boy team for ANY sport, I'd feel outplayed, nervous, and I'd be super scared of getting my ass beat at everything.

First, a simple list of questions:
1. Is there a girls' team?
2. If not, why not? If so, why is the girl on the boys' team?
3. Can a girls' team be made? Could the girl go on the girls' team?

If there is a girls' team the girl is able to go on, then she should go on it. If not, then the boys' team should be co-ed.

You seem to be missing the point entirely. The other teams won't know that about her, so they're going to hesitate in their actions. Just because one girl is tough enough to handle the situation doesn't mean you can generalize everyone into the same demographic. That would be like me saying I know a guy who is whiny and complains a lot is perfect to be a cheerleader. Then he goes all pervy and there's a harassment claim. It just won't work. And yes, I'm aware of Yell Leaders, before anyone brings that up.

This all just goes back to what I said before. If you want a co-ed team, petition it to a district. If you don't want to go through the troubles of actually trying to do something, then stop complaining about it.

I honestly am against it, for these reasons:

1) They split the gender for a reason, if there is only a boys team and a girl wants to play, yeah ok, but if there is a girls team she should play on that.

2) Girls play differently than guys (for soccer at least) it wouldnt be good practice to practice with guys who play one way then in a game when you expect girls to play that way they play in a more of a girly way. (if that makes sense)

3) Girls are more fragile than guys (well most guys) and guys play very rough in soccer.

4) basically what Captain Hero said, the guys would hesitate and probably not play to their entire capability, because they do not want to hurt the girls.
