    OOC: oh and yay for Daxma mentioning LP!!! But why that song? Why not Numb, Breaking the Habit, Papercut, or In the End? The new songs are kinda lame...

    After about a half an hour, they came to a clearing. Aria took off her jacket and put it on the floor, sitting down with a yawn. "From here, there's about twenty minutes left before we reach the forest..." She explained. "This is our rest stop..." She was getting tired and was tempted to take a nap, but the sun would start to set soon and it wouldn't be smart of them to wander trails in the darkness.

    Alaric walked around the clearing looking around. "The forest...that will be interesting." He commented. She's getting tired. Should we go back? Alaric crouched down and took out his knife to examine it. It always reminded him of the knives that the military carried around. A bit more of a combat knife than a normal one. "Do you want to go back? You look tired." He suggested.

    Aria's eyes flickered to the knife he was examining. She thought about his suggestion. "It's fine, we've already come all of this way already. If you wanna go on, we can." She smiled towards him.

    Alaric stood up and put his knife away. "I'll leave the decision up to you. If you want to go back then that's fine by me. Either way...it doesn't matter." He walked slowly over to her and extended his hand to help her up.

    Aria took his hand gratefully and then looked off to where the forest was. "Only twenty minutes away, probably less if we hurry...Besides, I'm curious as to what they were doing to the forest while I was here those years ago." She said, and continued to walk in the direction of the woods. The lake outlined the trail they were on and shimmered brightly in the sun.

    Alaric nodded and followed her as soon as she started walking. I'm also starting to get interested in this...It would be funny if there was some kind of government experiment going on here.

    Finally, they approached a line of thick trees, the wood shrouded in darkness. She looked over the lake, the sun was beginning to set. She knew the consulers would start to worry soon. "Alright...Quick look, then we have to head back..." She said with a deep breath. As she began to step inside a loud screeching noise caused her the move quickly behind Alaric. "...Uh..."

    Alaric looked at the lake for a moment before hearing the screech. He glanced backwards only to find that Aria was hiding behind him. "Hey. No reason to be scared. It's probably just some kind of bird." A really annoying bird. "Let's go back." He added turning around. "Don't worry...you won't get hurt." He assured her. Hopefully.

    Alaric walked quickly as he started to think of something. I wonder if...no that might not happen...but it might... He looked at the sky which was already turning from blue to a nice shade of red. I always liked sunsets.

    Falling prey once again to tiredness, Aria trudged behind with her eyes closed. Another screeching sound caused her to catch up with Alaric. A bird... She thought. It--It's just a bird.

    Alaric sighed. At this rate it'll take forever to get back...she keeps falling asleep. He heard the second screech which was starting get him annoyed. "Do you need help? You're falling asleep and...well it might be faster if..." He started saying before trailing off. Stupid idea.

    "Um." She looked towards the sunset. She wasn't exactly comfortable with the idea of him carrying her but she was close to sleeping where she stood. "I-If...You don't mind...I think we'd get there faster too..." She suddenly had a deep feeling of guilt reveal itself inside of her and before she knew it, it felt like she would start to cry. Thankfully, the feeling passed as she forced a small smile.
