Camping Trip...?

"Aw, maybe if you ignored them they wouldn't bother you so much..." She suggested with a shrug. "I don't know...They annoy me too but not really because of their personalities...More because...They always come around when I'm happy being alone with you." She said.

 

"Breaking point...?" Aria asked. "What's that mean...?"

 

Aria stopped walking and stared at him. "You already brought it up...And now you're changing the subject and that worries me more..."

 

"...Sorry..."Aria quieted and kept walking slowly. "We're almost there, I think I can manage on my own now." She said, walking ahead of him. "Thanks."

 

"Fun...? How's it fun? I'm boring..." Aria said with a smile.

 

"Thanks for saying so." It was dark when they approached her cabin. "Well...Here we are..." She said with a slight yawn. "Thank you again for walking me..."

 

Aria's eyes widened slightly, not expecting the kiss. Her face was burning a deep red color and the tips of her fingers tingled as a small flame ignited itself inbetween her thumb and index finger. Even with the mixed feelings, she couldn't help but close her eyes and not pull away until she needed air.

 

Emi poked her head out of the window of the cabin, hearing noises. She thought about ruining the moment, but only rolled her eyes and smiled to herself, getting back in the bed.

With the feeling of shock beginning to fade away from her, she relaxed in his arms, starting to kiss back, surprising herself. The smart thing to do now is stop… She thought…Even though she didn’t.

 

Aria opened her mouth to say something but couldn’t find anything to say. She continued to look up at him for a few minutes before turning towards the door to her cabin. “Goodnight, Alaric…†She said softly before going inside and closing the door. She changed into different clothes and slid inside of her bed, staring at the ceiling. Absently, she created a small globe of fire in the middle of both palms, illuminating the room dimly. She already knew she wouldn’t be able to get to sleep.

Emi climbed down from her bed and moved over to Aria's. She was still awake and it was morning. Emi sat on the edge of Aria's bed and glanced at the fire globe in her hands. "That's been on all night...You must be exhausted..." She stated plainly, not in the mood to be a pest.

Aria looked at Emi blandly and shrugged. "I've been sleepier..." She said softly. "Do you always wake up at sunrise...?" She asked her.

"No...Not always..." Emi said. The silence was bugging her. "Are you okay...?" She asked quietly, not wanting to wake anyone else.

Aria nodded slowly. "I'm fine," She finally stopped the flame. To be honest, that really had been draining. It was the longest period of time that she had ever used her power, with the exception of one time.

Emi nodded awkwardly. She thought about mentioning what she had seen last night, but didn't, figuring it would only upset her more. "Ready for breakfast?" She asked Aria, unusually calm.

"Yeah...Yeah...I'll be there, you go first, okay?" Aria smiled towards the girl and closed her eyes for a minute, trying to clear her mind.

Emi nodded and walked out of the cabin, peering at Alaric's cabin for a second with a slight glare in her eyes before heading for the Hall slowly.
