So we're all here on this forum because we like Kingdom Hearts, or have played it before. Even if we haven't played it, we've probably read the storyline.

    But why?

What is it about Kingdom Hearts that you like?

    The gameplay?

    The characters?

    The music?

    The story?

What made you buy Kingdom Hearts? Why did it appeal to you?

    Why did you join KHV?

Initially, I got Kingdom Hearts because seeing Disney characters interacting with spikey-haired anime-looking characters looked hilarious that I wanted to give it a try (I was 12 when I got KH1 in 2004). Then, I was hooked. I've got every KH game since then (not counting Final Mixes), because everything, from the music, to the characters, and the storyline, all make me excited for every new entry.

Not top notch, but still pretty good.

I quite like Sora/Roxas, and Riku even more. Kairi and Sora is a good couple as well.
YES! The music is stunning, especially Dearly Beloved in BBS
Somewhat, It's a bit childish, but its still pretty good.
I had money as a kid, and it seemed like fun. It was the first AA/RPG-esque game I ever played.

Cuz I had a question about using the videoclips for AMVs.

I started playing Kingdom Hearts cause my friend<3 loaned the first one to me, after which point I become hooked on it and bought the second one when it came out, got 365/2, BBS, etc.

I actually enjoy a good button mashing game now and then, so I've liked the KH series gameplay. I would say BBS has had the best system, with KH2 having a better one than KH1(excluding magic).

Love the characters, the original three, the Organization, but especially with myself being a Disney fanatic liked getting to see the characters and fight against the villains.

I adore the music, Simple and Clean, Dearly Beloved, and Sanctuary of course. I also like the battle music and Marluxia's Lord of the Castle theme, awesome stuff.

I like the story in the first one more than the second, but they were both fun. Childish? We're running around with Donald and Goofy, it's expected, but they're still amazing games.

Joined KHVids when I was looking at clips for my AMV making. Then created an account, history~

I just got kingdom hearts because I enjoy playing games that have nice story lines, and the battle system is nice. And also I don't really enjoy games that are all about free-roam, so this game makes it better, and having disney and final fantasy makes it cooler. I don't have many reasons to like many games, this is basically it

Well, I kinda got the game as a surprise present. I had seen it before in a shop and thought it looked pretty cool, mainly because of the Disney characters.

I'll just answer it for why I kept on buying more of the series.

The gameplay was fun and mostly fast paced, not particularly difficult and very addictive.
The Story was a wee bit over the top but still very enjoyable
Characters were cool, maybe acted a bit cheesy at times but still.
Music was really good, one of the main factors I look for in a Video Game is good music.

And I joined the site because I wanted some Action Replay Codes.

Hmm Kingdom Hearts... Funny story, I actually didn't want to play it solely for the fact that there was Disney characters in it. I was already a fan of Final Fantasy, Naruto, Bleach, et cetera so KH just seemed "childish" to me. It wasn't until my good friend brought his KH1 game over and "forced me to play it" that I began a love that I hope I can pursue for many years to come.

Once I got into KH, I realized that the Disney characters are a great addition to the story. It made things more silly, fun, and innocent whilst bringing some odd nostalgia to the game. When you meet Goofy and Donald, you most likely already know who they are, so it became easy to warm up to them. (Unless you had a terrible childhood and missed out on the best cartoons of all time.)

The gameplay evolved along with the series, that I liked. When you start off with KH1, things are fairly basic in terms of flashy maneuvers and actions. As you progress to KHII, Days, and BBS, things become more intricate and more intense. So I like the gameplay as the games progress, I'd say from KHII and on.

Characters in this game are a two-sided coin. Either they exist in another media of some sort (FF and Disney characters), or they begin their existence in KH (Sora, heartless, et cetera). There were some changes in the FF characters I was not particularly fond of, such as calling Squall "Leon" and making his hair longer, but they kind of helped make a "new character" solely in KH, rather than a legit FF invasion. I liked all the original KH characters, but once things got passed CoM, the ideas and clothing styles seem to sky-rocket and make it far more appealing.

Music was a bonus. I was unaware that I would play another series with such fun, adorable, awesome, and just simply marvelous music. I always love to listen to Dearly Beloved in each game, and try to hear the differences. I always thought that was just awesome.

Story overall was fantastic. It was appealing an easy to follow in each game, but in terms of Nomura being very meticulous and coming out with games out of chronological order, that can be a tad annoying and hard to follow. I love how everything has meaning, almost no plot holes. But I am also a big chronological maniac, so that really is the only thing that kills me. But having the games and the memories of what happened in each game makes it easier to piece the puzzle together as each new game is slowly added to the series.

I bought it after my friend made me play KH1. I enjoyed playing it so much I bought KHII and KH1 after I returned his game to him.

My same friend told me about this site, and I saw Youtube videos that referenced this site for the video clips. I lurked for such a long time, and finally in summer of 2010 I registered. 'Tis been a blast chillin' with y'all ever since.

Hm...played KHII first after I spotted it in a shop. Been hooked ever since. I remember that was in 2007, I never really took much interest in KH before Versus/Agito XIII was announced in 2006 (I had to stop hyping myself up).

Got out of FF and into KH. Now I have no idea which series I love the most.

The fact that it combined 2 things I loved from my childhood: Disney and Final Fantasy/RPGs

I distinctly remember hitting the Circle and X buttons a lot... From KH2, all you needed was the Triangle button :/
Overall I enjoyed the fighting style and magic implemented into the game.

I find Riku interesting. Sora's always good for a laugh. Organization XIII are some of my favorite antagonists. (Every single one of them)
It makes me feel old watching the characters age.

Superb. The instrumentals fit the situation so well. Even the Menu music is wonderful. When I play an MMO, I rip out the tedious melodys and replace them with KH Music. I play the crap out of "Dearly Beloved," "Wheel Master Boss Battle Theme ," "Fate of the Unknown," and "Roxas' Theme" (Guardiano Nel Buio and Chernabog's theme for Dungeons)

Can get a bit out of proportions at times, but the antagonists objectives are clear and the Protagonists always had something to fight for. Good Old RPGs. One thing I could not stand in KH2 though is how whenever you went to a new world people who knew you went "Sora! Donald! Goofy!" It just bugged me...

The cover had sword wielding children next to Donald duck and Goofy... Why did it not appeal to me I wonder...

I used to make very poor KHmvs and used the sites videos to do so. I started participating in the forums about a year after I joined.

My mom bought me Kingdom Hearts back in Christmas 2005, along with a new PS2 slim.
She figured that the Disney characters on the box made it appropriate for a thirteen year old girl (who had never before been allowed to play a "T" rated game).

I enjoy the Square characters (the Disney characters are mostly just there as fillers so their appeal is limited), the gameplay and the graphics. The music is an added bonus but what kid ever really stops to listen to it when they're fighting epic boss battles? The story became deeper as the game went on and I thoroughly enjoy it, plotholes and all.

I went on Youtube one day and saw a Kingdom Hearts AMV. I noticed they credited KHV for the clips and after a year of just coming for the footage, I joined.
Before joining, I never really noticed the forum. Actually, it was a poll that I saw in the Cutscene Archive that led me to join.

    To be honest

I first saw the game on this thing Disney Channel used to do with upcoming Disney games. I got tired of playing the same ol racing, and multi-player games for the PS2. And the game really caught my eye. From that moment I've been hooked ever since. I got it when the game firt came out for Christmas. And felt like I was in control since it would be the very 1st single player game I can call mine.

The music I fell in love with it, and when I heard simple and clean I just had to get the game.

As for the characters I wasn't into the anime type gamestyle back in those days. So seeing how well drawn the people were really got to me.

So when 2 came out I went crazy and went on youtube and started watching these vidoes of the gameplay. Then when the Action Replay hit the streets I saw vidoes of that too. I just had to do what they did. At the end I would always see kh-v(Or insider at times for some of the videos.) I came here because I had no other source to get codes for KH2. And also I only became a member to get more codes. Because that 5 page rule was pissing me off. I became a memeber to stop that never actal noticing that there was more to the site. I think when I saw some of the cool avy pics I wanted to know how to do all of that. So when i went to my page that's when I was really hooked.

What I like in Kingdom Hearts? Everything! =]

Kingdom Hearts is my favorite game, it came with the PlayStation 2 of my brother. But only Kingdom Hearts II, since it was the second, I didn't want to play it. Then my brother bought Kingdom Hearts I so I wanted to see how the game was. I swear, when I started to play... I couldn't stop!!! xD

I didn't know anything about it, when I started to play a liked it A LOT and until now is my favorite game. When I finished Kingdom Hearts, I played Kingdom Hearts Chains of Memories and then Kingdom Hearts II. While playing Kingdom Hearts Chains of Memories, I started to don't feel like playing anymore, but then I find out one of my best friends knew Kingdom Hearts, and it was his favorite game. When we started to talk a lot about it, Kingdom Hearts turned in my favorite game, mine and Lexibrag's.

So this year in my birthday my brother gave me the Kingdom Hearts Re: Chains of Memories. I couldn't stop play it too! I downloaded a emulador of DS to play Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days. After some time I find out about Kingdom Hearts Re: Coded, downloaded it and finished it too. Now I'm saving money to buy my PSP to buy a Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep, but Lexibrag has a PSP and the BbS, though is of his brother. So we're trying to make him install Birth by Sleep in his PSP and Lexibrag promised me he will let me play!

For joining KH-Vids, while watching some videos in YouTube, I find out about this site and decided to join. =]
