You don't need 200 bucks to hang out, you know... And again, different currency.

You can find outfits cheaper than 200 bucks. And you only need one for the dance. I'll give you twenty, if you behave. The rest you can earn. Or save.

A good dress should only be a maximum of 50 unless your going to a wedding.

If it's a wedding it should be under 20.

I have $40. I still need shoes and tights! $40 will pay for the dress, not the entire outfit! I need at least $70.

Life isn't about clothes and malls and parties, the fact that we don't give you ridiculous amounts of money doesn't mean that we don't love you. it just means that we are broke, or that we feel that you don't deserve the money. You can use shoes and tights from a previous dance, or borrow some of mine, get something from the flea-market, improvise... You don't have to get new things you only use once...
    Quoted for truth.

You haven't even bought the dress yet.

I'm not wearing one of your out of style dresses. I'm gonna go off to the mall now. Maybe I can get someone there to buy me an outfit since my own parent don't care enough to give me $70! *runs off to my room crying*
