Brrr.

it's so freaking cold in my house!! my grandma won't turn up the heater anymore! i have a long sleeve shirt on, a jacket, socks, and pajama pants WITH a blanket over me, and i'm STILL shivering. this is one bad thing about winter! :ranting:

 

May i say i am a bit jealous? It's December and the weather is ridiculously warm here. It's like Spring!

 

Seconded. It only just started to get cold here like a week or two ago, and even then a lot of the time we've had pretty warm weather >>;.

 

And exactly why is this a bad thing?

Seriously. I hate walking to class in the snow.

 

Luckly most of my campus is interconnected so I don't have to be outside for more than a minute or so.

 

Really? I love it, the crunch of snow, the ice that makes you fall over and crack your head open... wait what?

My sister (a student) said she opened the fridge the other day and warmth came out of it. If this is the case I'd go live in the fridge.

 

Fridges are very well insulated... Though you would hit a problem with the whole lack of air flow thing.

 

Living here sucks. Summers are WAY too hot and winter is really cold yet i've seen snow only once in my life. I am envious.

 

This^ Previous years at this month the weather was normally cold. Not North Pole cold but in regural levels. Nowadays it's December and everyone's wearing T-shirts! Not to mention that Greece will and is heavily affected by the Global Warming. we are supposed to be one of the many areas of the planet that in the next years will turn into a wasteland of some sort.

Aside from this, if you're not interested in Global warming, personally i am tired of the warm weather, i want cold!

 

That never occured to me, but yeah. You have the lattitude to get cold enough for snow, but you live in the rain shadow of the Andes so you don't get much percipitation.

Though if it's any consolation, I would rather have your dry heat in the summer. Humidty sounds nice in theory (water cools you off right?) but it actually makes your sweat less effective making you hotter, and gives the air a sticky feeling.

 

same here, it get's REALLY cold in the winter, but it never snows.

 

I live in Buenos Aires which is close to the sea BTW so yea, we have humidity all the year but not in winter fortunately.
And describing the air as sticky is exactly like I would define it.
Anyway I just spend my afternoons in my parents room (air conditioning >: D) which has dryer air so it's actually breathable in there

I'm telling you, they look like they're a stupid idea, but once you get one it's like unconditional love at first sight + orgasms + saving the universe from Heartless and finding your best friends all in one.
