Let's talk internet browsers, KHV. What browser do you use? What add-ons do you have for it (if it's one that has them)?

I've been using Chrome for several months now. Used to be a Firefoxfag. Discovered it years ago and initially fell in love with it because, unlike the version of IE that I was accustomed to, FF had multiple tabs, so I didn't have to open different windows to visit different sites, which was pretty handy. Not long afterwards this would become a standard feature for pretty much all browsers, so that was one strike against it.

After that I pretty much stayed with it because of all the nice add-ons, which seems to be the reason why most people use it over Chrome. I dunno how many of you know this already, but Chrome's had extensions enabled since a while ago, and a lot of the good add-ons from FF have Chrome equivalents that work fine; everything else is only a matter of time.

So, IMO, there's no reason for me to go to back to Firefox now. It's a good browser, but Chrome just runs much faster for me even with all the add-ons. It also lets me see more of the page I'm viewing, which is nice. I tried Opera for a while; it's not a bad browser either, but it doesn't have extensions like Chrome or FF, so I don't use it.

So far I have the following extensions for Chrome:

    Firefox.

I used Internet Explorer for the longest time, simply because that was the default.
But I made a thread just like this last year just to see why Firefox was better and switched to it xD I've been using it ever since.
Mostly because of the addons and IE froze up a lot for me. I like having my favorites across the top as well (But IE does that now).
I keep IE because my school's email works better on it and lets me look at my other folders, but for some reason Firefox won't let me do it (even though my school's web is pretty much centered around Firefox).
I downloaded google chrome because I had to listen to something on a site for a course and it told me it'd work better with Chrome. Chrome was alright, I liked it, and I still keep it around. I usually use it in the rare occasions Firefox wont' work, but I'm good with Firefox for now.

I have the Personas (skins), Foxytunes (let's me use youtube or WMP or Itunes control without leaving the page), Cooliris to view pictures, and a few others I never really use.

I use a combination of IE, Opera and Firefox for multiple purposes. I prefer Opera out of all the browsers though. The appearance and just the way it was already set up with this speed dial thing made it more usable for a lazy git like me who probably could get speed dial on other browsers but can't be arsed. Though, I do tend to have occasional problems with youtube or certain sites that only work with certain browsers. I don't do any customisation though. Too much hassle.

    Firefox.

I kind of jumped over Internet Explorer and just went straight to Firefox. In my house we all used it, so I was just accustomed to it. Right now I stick with it because I just haven't liked any of the others browsers I've tried. A year or two ago I gave Opera a go, but I just didn't like the way it looked or the way it ran. I also got Safari when they released it for Windows, and I periodically switch between it and Firefox. (My computer is rather old, and Firefox is slow to open, so I use Safari when I just need to get onto the internet fast.) I haven't tried Chrome yet, but I would like to eventually.

I have a lot of Firefox extensions... Foxytunes, Whitehart (theme), Adblock Plus, DownloadHelper, ColorZilla, Photobucket Uploader, Livejournal add-ons, Fire FTP, etc etc. Those are the ones I use the most.

If you have speed issues with Firefox, Chrome is a godsend. Makes a world of a difference. At least for me.

Oh and speaking of which, for anyone who uses Firefox, you might be interested in this: http://www.palemoon.org/

Supposed to be 25% faster than regular firefox and it keeps all your addons and bookmarks when you install it.

Oh my gosh, thank you so much for linking me to that. It really is faster.
So as of now I use PaleMoon, with adblock, Fychan, 4chan updater, Firedownload, firetorrent, and coolpreviews. And I'm very happy with it.

firefox. one tip about it though, clear your saved passwords (or remove that button to see them), because someone who has physical access to your computer could just steal your password because it's displayed in plain text.

but anyways, on topic, i like it because it's faster than IE. i found that chrome is faster but it's not very noob friendly. i would probably use chrome if i got accustomed to it but i don't like the lack of the standard menus and that stuff. i'm just not used to the interface.

I use a combo of stuff. Chrome I use for things like DA, here, Youtube, and that stuff. Firefox has been souped up so it's secure (well, as secure as I can make it), and that is where I do all my banking and eBaying.

I use Firefox. It is a bit slow to open because my computer is old. But I bear with it because I love it, and I can't seem to get used to anything else. I still have IE, but I can't remember the last time I used it at home. I've tried Safari; it runs nice, but the buttons are too small for my liking. I've only ever used Opera on my Nintendo Wii, so I don't know how it would run on a desktop/laptop.

I use Chrome. For me I think it is the most easy to use, I also think the look is very nice.

I will use Firefox just to log into DeviantArt, Since Chrome screwed up my saved password on it. lmao

I think i'm the only one here who uses Safari. Firefox is nice but some sites suck with it, and its kind of slow, so yeah don't use it. I have all of my saved bookmarks/etc. on safari too and im too lazy to make the switch.

I have yet to try google chrome. I hear good things about it, but again, too lazy to make any sort of switch.

My first alternate browser was Firefox. I was much happier with it. Then I found Opera and used it for the longest time. Went back to Firefox, and repeat going back and forth between Opera and FF for a while. I tried Chrome, didn't like it cause it kept crashing since my computer sucked. Used Firefox, then Safari and really liked it.

Now I have an awesome computer and only use Chrome. All else is butthole-tier.

Right now I'm using IE, it's fast for me so I keep it as a defalut on my comp. But also I have a much older retro computer that's sorta slow when I use IE so I use Google Chrome and it works perfectly fine. ..I don't use any extentions for it, hmm maybe I'll look into some. :]

I stay on firefox because i need firetorrent. I refuse to download bittorrent. If some kind of extension to let you download torrents from chrome comes out, I'll switch to chrome.

Chrome is fast, simple and works. In other words, perfect.
Don't have many add-ons; I think I downloaded one that translates Pixiv into English or smth.

Personally, I'm an Opera user. I like the functionality it has, even if it glitches occasionally. I don't think it's actually faster than others, such as Chrome, 8ut it's not Google, which is always a plus in my 8ooks.

I need to check out some of the more recent releases of other 8rowsers. Firefox 4 sounded promising, and I heard that they adopted a similar design to Opera, so I really should look into it.

With all 8rowsers, they're usually 8etter with fewer plugins. Less 8loat means they run faster. It's one of the reasons I like Opera. It has a whole lot of functionality inbuilt, so I don't need to try to make it do everything via plugin. It's very easy to end up with a 8rowser crammed full of extensions.

I naturally dislike Chrome, for some reason. Pro8a8ly 8ecause it's Google. I'm not fond of Google tech. Something a8out it displeases me gr8ly. That said, I hear Chrome is fast, al8eit somewhat lacking in features in comparison to the others.

Safari isn't something I really like either. The features are too little, and I'm wary of OS browsers.

Internet Explorer, from what I hear, is 8orderline accepta8le at version 9. Even so, this doesn't mean I'd recommend using it; only that I'd put less effort into trying to convince others to change to something else. I stand 8y my statement that friends don't let friends use Internet Explorer.

I've used IE since i started using a computer but this year after my IE kept crashing my friend Eric told me to swich to firefox so that's what I did I it's much better. It's a bit hard to get used to the bookmarks tab since it's different from IE's but I'm getting used to it. I enjoy the add-ons and the themes (I had the cutest snowlepard theme and now I have the coolest FF7 theme) I love the ad-blocker so no more ads from fanficion or Youtube so that makes me much happier.
I also used chrome once it school and it was good but i still prefer Fire Fox
    So,Any other add-ons I should look into?

I highly recommend Firefox 4, all the speed of Chrome with the same ol' great Firefox addons/plugins. Definitely the best browser I've used so far.

I'm still using 3 since 4 doesn't have the Norton toolbar and with my luck(like today) one of my friends will send me a link to a website and it almost will or will give my poor laptop a virus and I'll be very annoyed <_<
