Laughing at someone in pain. Funny? Or just Cruel?

  1. Yes: I think it is cruel that some people laugh at other's pain.

I think it's just plain cruel.

If you're making fun of someone (not saying anyone here is) while someone is hurt, would you be laughing if people were making fun of you for being in pain? C'mon...think about it.

Thankfully, by the looks of it, most people say it's cruel.

Well, I think if it's a friend or someone else you know pretty well, like a classmate, and their laughing and making jokes and all that, then it's okay to laugh with them, but if they were in pain and you were laughing at them, then that'd be just ******ed. Maybe if they did something really stupid, in that case, they'd probably be laughing too anyway.

@ RA and Cupcake; That really sucks D: I've never broken anything, but it really must suck to be teased about it or be ignored D:

If it's a serious matter yes, or it's my best friend yes. If we were all joking around, and something accidental, happened and my FRIEND starting laughing about his broken.. whatever then yeah I'd find that humorous. Because he did.. but if they were all screaming and lashing out about there pain, then no.. that's not a laughing matter. >:/

Yes. People laughed at me for the reason how I dislocated my left arm teh second time. I said that I hit another bike by the tire and then it did a complete 90 degrees around my tire and then it was so sudden and that it immediately halted, I flew out of my seat. I landed on teh ground on my left arm because it has a slow reaction. When I said this, then joked that I could fly right over walmart after I flew out. The truth \of what I did was..... I laughed along with them. Yes I think it's kinda cruel but I'm not that type. I would laugh with others about how I broke my left arm and then that's how I make friends. You make them laugh and laugh along with others. I kinda feel proud that I dislocated my left arm twce becasue that's how I got friends.

It all depends on how they get hurt. Like for example if the fall off a chair that funny, if they fall down the stairs that f***ing hilarious ( as long as they arent seriously hurt). When thoses things happen to me I just start laughing because thats my first reaction. Also when I am nerves I just start to laugh no matter the sittuation.:laughing-smiley-004

It depends on how it happens. If it's an out of nowhere accident sort of thing, I wouldn't laugh. However, if it's like my friends and I are doing something stupid with rollerblading or skateboarding, snowboarding or something like that...yeah, I will laugh at first if it doesn't seem so serious because we don't really -have- to put ourselves in the danger in the first place so it's funny that it turns out that way. It also depends how bad the wound is of course. To be fair in all this...I laugh at myself when I get funked up too and I don't care if others laugh either. In some ways it can help me recover quicker.

If someone has a broken limb or sprain etc, it is serious and of course I would help him/her to get where he/she needs to go etc. I've broken bones, had tendinitis, sprains etc. It's part of life and some people milk it for all it's worth after it's treated, taking it so serious. I take it light when it happens to me and don't focus on it after the fact it's casted or whatever. I don't try to tease or laugh at anyone that takes the injuries so dire though because they are too serious about it and just not willing to make light of a situation that's going away and well if humor isn't shared it's kind of pathetic and cruel. That's the point with most broken bones etc. They get better. If it was something more serious like someone has heart disease or cancer or something, I'm not going to laugh at all.

I think it's okay, but on the other hand, I'm usually the one getting hurt. My common sense is filled with giant gaps.

Well it was kinda funny was that I was laughing at something someone said when I broke my back(again). I don't like it when people laugh at you either, it hurts.

If anybody was hurt in any way, I wouldn't find it funny at all even if they intended to go down in a funny way. Naturally, I'd always like to put myself in that person's perspective so in that point of view, it's not funny at all.
