I can personally say I'm invisible to avoid a few people I don't want to talk to but do not want to ignore in case they say something bad about me so I know about it.

I'm not blaming anybody, I'm simply ensuring that you're aware of everyone else's viewpoint on the matter. You may think that their claims are exaggerated, but most people that say such things about you do not.

Seriously, as much as I hate to agree with PaW, and believe me I do, everyone just shhhhh.

Also on the stalker note: I can understand being uncomfortable if someone's checking your activity/monitoring it heavily; if you are uncomfortable, you should tell them that makes you uncomfortable so they can fix it. Also, let's not forget a stalker is someone who both obsessively pursues something and harasses you through all the unwanted attention.

If you do think someone is being a bit too much for you, talk to them about it. If they don't stop, bring it to staff. Don't accuse someone you haven't even tried talking to civilly and privately about something you want to laud to the public and not even really try to fix maturely. :v

 

Time for an essay.

I honestly don't care if people use invisibility. It's the reasons associated with it that make it either legitimate or silly, and most of the ones here are for silly reasons, and that's what's getting to me.

Okay, sure. If you're going through a hard time and are depressed or you are busy with work in real life, then being invisible can be a sort of sign that says do not disturb or expect slow replies. That's really the true use of invisibility.

You guys -- most of you, as I know some of you are actually dealing with personal issues and that's why you're invisible -- think I'm some crazy stalker, which I'm not, so you turn invisibility on because, "Oh, no! Amaury can see us!" Even if I were a crazy stalker or as it is now where I'm not a crazy stalker, what's the big deal if I see what your current activity is? It's not like it's the end of the world.

You guys then go and exaggerate by saying things like, "Watch out! Amaury knows exactly where you live!" There is no way, unless information is given to me, that I would know something like your exact address. I may know, for example, that you live in New York, but that's it. There's no way I can know exactly where you live.

Finally, most of you should know what it's like to be in my position and be on the receiving end of these types of comments. It's like bullies in school. For the sake of this example, let's say someone gets bullied because they're in a lower grade than the bully, and they don't like it. However, as they advance in grades, they then start to bully kids / teenagers that are in a lower grade than them, which is something they didn't like when they were younger and were bullied for the exact same reason.

In all honesty, I only used invisibrurity once . . . and that was to annoy you, love ^^ I know you hate it when you don't know what i'm up to, I feed off the hate.
