Boarding School

Alyce sighed as she quickly fiddled with the door again. Luckily, she'd remembered to wear a tank top underneath her sweater; otherwise she would've probably have been more winded. "Come on..." she muttered as she looked through her bag for something to pick the lock with.

 

Jake tried the window latch.
'Locked...of course...'
He grabbed a chair, crashing it through the window and shattering the glass. He looked down at the drop. "Just perfect." He mumbled as he took a breath, reaching to jump.

 

Alyce grinned. "Aha!" After going through all her stuff, she'd found a hairpin. This is going to take a while... She sighed and began fiddling with the door. If this breaks, I'm screwed.

Jake swung his legs out, reaching to grab the crease in the wall above the window as he pulled his body through.
He cried out as a peice of the glass sliced into his side. He ignored it and pulled himself out all the way, he closed his eyes and jumped.

 

The door to the basement slid open and Alyce gave a sigh of relief, slumping against the wall for a minute to relax. "And now, to find the others..." she muttered, getting up.

 

Jacob hit the ground hard, rolling to keep his legs from breaking. He grimaced when he touched his side, sticky with blood.
"No time for that now. The other's need help."
He ran into the building, passing the stairway to the basement.

 

Alyce noticed Jake run right past her. "If you're looking for me, you're going the wrong way, Sleeping Beauty." She took in his appearance, noticing blood. "What happened to you?"

 

"I just jumped out a three story building through some jagged glass. The usual." He laughed stiffly, pain shooting up his side. "Where are the others?"

 

"No clue. I've been locked in a basement for the past half hour or so." Alyce replied casually as if she got locked in a basement every day. She realized sheepishly that she probably looked like a dork with her pants rolled up to her knees and with her faded Mickey Mouse tank top on.

 

Jake grinned at her. "Let me take a guess. It get really hot down there?"

 

"...yup." Alyce replied with a faint grin. "What was so drastic that you had to jump out a three story window?"

 

"I got bored." He laughed sarcastically.
"I got locked in the physics room and it got really cold, so I jumped...that reminds me, I owe the school a new window."

 

"Somehow, I don't think this school will freak that much over one window. Besides, if worst comes to worst, just blame it on someone else." She grinned brightly.

 

"Yeah, but who in their right minds would believe me if I told them an evil shadow tried to freeze me to death?"

 

"Hmm...I doubt the people in the office would believe that. Then again...the people in the office didn't know we were fake fighting either. And that Nami stole a bunch of flashlights from them."

 

Jake nooded lightly, scrunching his shirt up near his cut to stop the bleeding. "Let's find the others."

Geryl pounded on teh walls to make sure if anyone could hear him.

 

Alyce nodded and looked over at him. "...you're okay to walk, right?" She put her hand against the wall and jumped when she felt a faint vibration. Is someone behind the wall...?

 

Geryl pounded repeatedly still he sensed someone on teh other side. Someone got my message. Yay....He thought and pounded.
