Boarding School

Jake put on a mock frown. "But you can put up with me." He shrugged. "I'm only mildly annoying compared to the shadow." He elbowed her playfully. "Now let's get those flashlights, my beautiful little robot."

"If you don't stop calling you, I'm pushing you out the window." Alyce replied lightly as they reached the office.

 

Nami was waiting in the office. "Hello!" she said cheerfully as Alyce and Jake came. "What's up, everybody?" she rummaged through her bag and pulled out some flashlights. "Ta-dah! I'd get more, but I need a volenteer to distract the secratary and everyone," she looked from Alyce to Jake. "Anyone?"

 

Geryl limped past the office and toward teh fountain.

 

"Distract everyone in the office? Sounds easy enough." Alyce gave a light grin. "How long do you need a distraction for?"

 

Jake glanced at Alyce. "Distraction is my middle name...actually it's Anthony, but distraction should be my middle name."

 

Geryl sat next to teh fountain and sighed as he relaxed next to the wet splashes.

 

"About 5 minutes. First," Nami said, "We need a scenario. Like, a made-up problem." she thought for a moment. "I need you two to make up an arguement, okay?"

 

"That'll be easy." Jake shrugged, winking at Alyce.

 

Geryl limped toward the office. WHat's going on.

 

Nami waved to Geryl. "Hey, I need some help getting some things from the office," she said. "It should be simple. All you guys need to do is distract the people in the office for 5 minutes. You three can make up an arguement. This might help us out with the shadow..." Nami added, "Why're you still limping?"

 

Lessee. I was ripped off again from the shadow again.He said limping toward them.

 

"Geryl, don't push yourself," she said to him. "You're hurt enough as it is. Now, back to subject..." Nami thought it all over. "Start thinking! I can't wait forever! And neither can you guys." she paced.

 

Geryl sighed and leaned against the wall.

 

"All we have to do is argue? That's easy enough." Alyce grinned. "Who gets to start it?"

 

Nami smiled. "Today's winner: Alyce!" she pretended she was the host of a game show. "Her prize: To start the arguement! Everyone give her a round of applause!" she clapped sarcastically. "Do something to get everybody, and I mean everybody's attention, got it?"

 

Alyce smirked faintly and muttered, "That I can handle. Off to the office, boys. Just follow my lead...or my attempt at a lead, rather." She gave a sheepish grin.

 

"Alright. You guys go ahead. After the arguement starts, I'll come in." Nami tied her hair up into a bun. "Good luck!"

bic: Clara arrived at her mansion, relieved to find it still there. She went inside and headed upstairs. She dug out and ancient looking key from the bottom of her bag and used it to open a dusty cabinet. She placed her bag down and began emptying the cabnet and filling the bag with many small silver orbs and other strange looking devices and weapons. She locked up the cabinet and took one last look at her home before heading back to the school.

 

Jake grinned at Alyce, wondering what she had planned. Knowing her, it would be something interesting.
