Boarding School

Alyce was eerily silent as she looked at the sketch, her face getting paler as she clenched her fists tightly in fear.

 

Geryl looked at the sketch and saw teh shadow. How did you do that?

 

Jake took her hand, slowly and gentally uncurling her wound up fingers. "It's okay...it's gonna be fine." His voice cracked though.

 

Still teh shadow hasn't gotten to me yet.He said. Which means I'm still first.

 

Alyce shook her head, color slowly returning to her face. "Don't say that. We're not going to die. None of us are going to die." she told Geryl sharply, although she wasn't sure if she believed herself.

 

I not so sure myself.He replied.

 

"We don't need the negativity." He shot at Geryl. He knew Alyce was afraid. He didn't want her any more worried than she already was.

 

Alyce frowned faintly. "Geryl, you're overreacting. We're not going to die." she told him, keeping her voice as straight as possible.

 

Jake evened out his breath, eyes watching Geryl and Alyce, deep in thought. If anything happened to one of them, especially Alyce...he'd never forgive himself. He was gonna make things right again. Together they would.

 

How can I protect myself with disabled legs and arms?He said.

 

"The rest of us will do the fighting. You just sit back and enjoy the show." Jake fought to stand, his demolished chest screaming at him. He winced but didn't let a sound escape his lips as he got to his feet, leaning against the wall heavily.

 

Alyce sighed. "I don't understand how I can stand hanging around with you two. You're too pessimistic." she told Geryl dryly.

She looked over at Jake, smirking faintly. "And you don't ever relax, even if you're in pain."

 

Geryl sighed. I don't wasnt to risk anymore people to be hurt for me.

 

"Aww come on Alyce." Jake quickly changed the mood around them with his cocky half-grin. "You know you don't mean that."
He winked. "And I'm fine, don't worry about it."

 

"Sure you're fine. And that's why you're wincing, right Sleeping Beauty?" Alyce asked smugly.

 

Jake caughed as he tried to laugh again. "I do not sleep." He nudged her playfully.

 

Geryl began to move somewhere else away from Alyce and Jacob.

 

"Ah yes...you rest." Alyce grinned and ruffled his hair lightly. "Maybe I should just call you Biker Boy again...you seemed to love it when I called you that."

 

"Oh yes. So much." He rolled his eyes at his own sarcasm. "And maybe I should call you annoying little pest." He grinned to show he was only kidding.

 

Geryl went into teh hallway again this time without anyone else. I think I should take it down myself.
