Wow, what a pointless article. I don't even remember any red they used for the PS3.

If a PS3 game is successful enough, instead of having the silver cover they did with the PS2, they have the red, like the blue on the Vita Title.

Nintendo has been Red, White, or even purple when the game systems were(N64/Gamecube) for me. Microsoft has always been green, white/black depending.
I see Playstation as Blue and Black(PS2-3 especially), the old PS logo was Red and yellow if I recall, but even then I just thought of Sony as more of a blue company.

Of course it doesn't matter in the grand scheme, but I'm onboard with them advertising with blue in mind(fav color, yeahh).

It's pretty simple, it's just color theory

Blue has always stood for loyalty, wisdom, and intelligence. Sony is going to try to get that across

Green (Xbox) Suggests Freshness and surprisingly greed if a darker green...I think it's Freshness because it was the "new thing" to hit the market in it's time.

White (Nintendo's Wii) is used for simplicity and coolness, maybe even purity. They haven't changed their formula in years and it still makes them a hard hitting company.
