Rin's smile had returned. It was the same smile she had when she found out she was leaving the orphanage. "I will, but please wake me when you return?" Not waiting for his response, Rin was getting ready to go to bed. She washed off the make up that Yuka had placed on her. She then took off the dress, not wanting it to get wrinkled while she slept. Under the blankets, the only type of clothing she wore were her undergarments. Her smile became malicious, wondering what Seth would think of her little surprise once he returned.


"Y-yes, of course," Johanna said, pulling herself back together. She faced Ceril, reaching out her arms. "I'm sorry...but I need to take Mimi. She is my guest, after all."

Seth shook his head and shut the door quietly. Sliding down the railing of his stairs, Seth felt better now that Rin wasn't angry with him. Now...Johanna's concerning problem awaited his attention.

Rin did her best to go to fall asleep as she could. She was amazed by how much she had changed in just a single day. She was in love with a vampire, and she was going to stay by his side. She clutched tightly onto one of the body pillows, whispering "I love you" over and over again until she became unconscious.

 

Ceril nodded and waited for mimi to be removed from her lap before standing. She smoothed her dress and then waited patiently for one of master balmore's ladies to lead the way. She wasn't really in a hurry to ask her question, since they did have all the time in the world. Ceril could honestly wait the rest of her existance without having it answered. Once the question was out, the answer would change everything. "i can wait until after johanna is through with master balmore. I will only use but a oiment of his time, and her desire is more urgent then my own."

Johanna smiled when she picked up Mimi. Thankfully, she was deep into her sleep. She was able to carry her all the way to the stair case to meet with Seth. She was hoping that he was able to piece together most of it so she doesn't have to explain much. All of this was a formality though. Whether or not she received Seth's permission, she would turn Mimi into a vampire. "Hang on a little longer, sweetie," She cooed to the girl in her arms as she spotted Seth.

Seth sat cross-legged in his chair and drained a glass of the technology created blood. He sighed in frustration as he saw Johanna and the little girl. Already he could hear her faint heartbeat and the sluggish movement of her blood. "You may want this, Johanna...but does she? Is it her wish to live a life forever as how she looks now?" He wanted so badly to rage against it, but he wouldn't ignore a child's desire to live. Many had chosen to live this life as children and they were...somewhat happy for the moment. He knew very well life didn't end well for them. He reached out for the little girl, "May I?"

 

Balmore Manor~~

Anthony knew that the party had been long over. He left the party, yet again, alone. He decided to leave his car in the woods and just walk home for the night. He'd have someone pick it up in the morning.

Johanna wished she knew what Mimi had wanted, but that was impossible to tell. She could feel that Mimi cared for her as if she were her mother, but she wouldn't be able to stay with her at the hospital all the time. Even if they were vampires, children needed open room to run around. Her small basement wouldn't be able to seal her for long. Reluctantly, he passed Mimi to Seth. "If you wish to show her our ways, you may keep her for a little while."

From the motion, Mimi woke up, her eyes droopy. Her throat ached and she could barely keep her consciousness. She looked at Seth, looking into his eyes. "Is this your birthday party?"

 

Ceril waited outside the room while johanna pled her case to seth. Leaning against the wall, she watched the last of the guests leave. Ceril walked over to yuka. "yuka, would you like some help cleaning up? I'm sure they'll be awhile." she gathered up some empty glasses onto a tray. She wanted to put off her conversation with seth for as long as possible.

Annie ran out of the house and went for a late night jog. She put her earbuds in and tried to clear her head. Annie liked to run to clear her thoughts. She was so angry and wanted to rip ecery vampire in town to shreds to protect her sisters. She noticed their scent growing stronger. what is going on out here?
Serena tried to stop annie from leaving but it was useless. When annie wanted to leave, annie left. She went into her bedroom to try and get some sleep.

 

Balmore Manor~

Seth cradled the girl gently and crooned to her, "Indeed it is. Now...before you ask any more questions...can you tell me what your dream is?" Depending on her answer, Seth would have no choice either to change her or not.

Yuka allowed Ceril to help her gather the glasses, "So you really have no intention of purchasing a home for yourself?"

Mimi felt cool in his arms. She could barely make out his outline. "My dream...like the one I was having just now? Well, I got to go outside and run around. I'm not allowed outside anymore, but the nice lady brought me to this birthday party. I'd like to go to more parties like this one too, mister."

Seth felt something clamp down inside his gut. "You want to go outside, in the sunlight? Or would you be alright with night-time runs with a good friend?" He tried to keep his voice light and inviting, but sorrow weighed him down like a house on his back.

Johanna's heart would have leap if she had one. If Mimi could answer this question right, then maybe there wouldn't be any issues.

Mimi rustled around a bit in Seth's arms. She thought for a second, not really to ponder his question, but how to say it. "I just want to go outside again. With a friend would be nice. It would be really cool if it was night time."

 

Ceril shook her head as she carried the glasses. "what's the point? If I get a home then i'll eventually have to leave. People would notice a neighbor no longer getting older even though they have been there for years. I'd rather not leave. If nobody knows I exist then no flags need to be raised. It's easier not existing. It can get lonely, but i've grown used to it. I rather like the tree. Plus I have no desire to use master balmore. I already told maribelle this. I have no need to suck away his money or use his venom. I'm not a leech."

Seth felt a heavy weight settle in his chest. "Then forgive me little one. I am not a man to deny those their deepest wishes. I can see in your eyes this is what you wish. Although it pains be greatly....I will oblige you and Johanna." He bit into his wrist and held it to the girl's mouth, "Drink....soon...this will be all that you want...all that you crave for. Your past pain and sorrow will be erased...in a wash of this night's end. A pure wish...is my command. I pray you do not tire of your life I will give you." If he could've cried then, he would've...but his tears had long dried up since. Bending over her, he sank sharp fangs into her throat as he pressed his bleeding wrist to her mouth, making her drink.

Johanna grabbed onto Mimi's hand a second before Seth bit into her. She remembered her own pain from being bitten. She wanted the little girl to squeeze onto her hand.

Mimi wanted to scream when she was bitten into, but she couldn't because of Seth's blood flowing into her mouth. She was seeing him very clearly for the first time. Tears were falling from her eyes, wondering what was going on. She clutched her fists, and then she felt Johanna's hand as she squeezed. The bitter tasting blood she was tasting filled her mouth and she had no other choice but to swallow it. A minute passed, and then Mimi's eyelids had shut.

 

Balmore Manor~

The minute Mimi's eyes shut, Seth removed his wrist from her mouth and began gulping down her blood. Draining her completely would mean death, but with a sliver of life and his blood in her veins, she'd be alright. In a few days, tops, she'd wake to a world that didn't seem so wonderful in the movie "It's a Wonderful Life". He loathed himself as he swallowed the last mouthful and released her. His fangs felt longer and probably were. With each new change he initiated...he felt more and more like what his ancestors had looked like. Long fanged beasts, bent on only feeding. "I'm sorry... M-Mirabelle...would you take Miss Johanna and the child to a spare room for the daytime?"

Mirabelle obliged, taking Mimi from Seth and cradling her against her chest. "Come this way, Johanna."

Johanna took the girl into her hands. She looked as if she had passed away, but Johanna knew better. The little girl was smiling, and Johanna felt that the smile was directed at her. Lightly, she kissed Mimi's cheek as she followed behind Mirabelle to the guest bedroom.

Seth stood slowly and acsended the stairs. Walking back into his room, he didn't bother with the light or the covers on his bed and simply fell onto his matress. Swimming in his guilt, he'd forgotten Rin and probably landed on her, but his body felt numb. To drink that poor girl's blood and change her when she didn't even know what was happening... "Unhappy Birthday, little one." he whispered into the dark.

When Seth hit the bed, he had struck Rin's leg. When she woke up, she had to take a second to remember why she was in this bed in the first place. She was so used to the darkness of the orphanage, she felt that it would be a while before she got used to everything. She heard Seth whisper something, but she couldn't make it out. She could tell something was hurting him though. Rin sunk back down into the bed, latching onto him. She kissed his lips lightly before she slowly went back to sleep.

Annie stopped jogging when she realized she was in front of an old church. It looked abandoned but heavily reeked of vampire. She knew that leaving would be the wise choice, but curiosity got the best of her. Annie crept inside the church. She noticed the confessional box. must have been a catholic church. she walked through the rows of pews, music still playing in her earbuds. "hello? Is anybody here? I can smell you."

Ceril noticed seth head back to his room. "i think master balmore is probably done with guests for the night. I'll speak with him at a different time." she turned to leave when a foul odor caught her attention. "lady yuka do you smell that?" ceril let out a low growl.
