Bloody Nightmare

Church

Keel turned towards where he'd heard the voice and was shocked to see a little girl standing there. What's a girl doing here. He thought to himself, just before he heard what Seth had said. It didn't leave him with a good felling about it.

Annie waved goodbye, but was actually glad to see them leave. The cabin felt too crowded with that pack there. She felt her sister's thin arm wrap around her shoulders and wave as well. "they seemed nice." annie shook her head. Serena thought everyone was nice. They seemed troublesome. "sure. You know he likes you right?" she glowered at rosh's back. "yeah." the blond twin sighed and her eyes followed ikuto, oblivious to what her sister was talking about.

 

cabin

Nick slumped on the counter near the girls, "Man what a long day... Who would've thought that bringing them here would take so much outta me."

 

Roadway to Church

As Jayden continued his way to the Church, he caught the faint smell of blood coming from the church. I hope that's not what I think it is. He thought as he continued to head towards the church.

Annie smirked and wrapped her hands around nick's bicep. "i hope you're not too worn out." she was teasing him for having all these strangers in her house. The were insufferable. "seriously annie?" serena shook her head and walked away from the two of them.

 

Rin had smiled when she heard her name called by Seth. She ran up to him. There were so many things that she wanted to say to him. The best she could come up with was "It's great to be home". She could feel her legs buckling from exhaustion. Rin didn't want to collapse now, but she felt she could only last a few more seconds.

 

Cabin

Nick's eyes widened and he watched her curiously. "It's not funny to tease me, Annie. I think you should know very well I could just take you up on that offer. After all...you owe me a date." Lowering his face to hers, Nick met her eyes and held them. "I doubt you'd offer me that. You're just too," he touched his forehead to hers, "Hard-headed." His nose touched hers as he stopped only centimeters away from her lips.

Church

Seth wrapped his arms around her and pulled her into his lap. He twitched at her scent, "Forgive me, Rin...you were gone for such a long time..." Dragging his nail along her neck, he cut into her and simultaniously placed his lips on the cut and started feeding.

Nina stood shocked that a human would willingly go to a Vampire. "What...hey, kid! Ah, Balmore, what do you think you're doing!" Seth ignored her and Nina's fangs grew, "Don't you pretend I'm not here, Balmore! I am like you...and I can compell that girl just as easily to leave your side." Finally she attracted his attention. Seth flicked his gaze up and lifted his mouth from her neck. "Oh, really? Why don't you try. Or, better yet...shoot me. End my misery, Hunter, and shoot me." He stood, setting Rin on the stairs in his place. "Here...I'll even stand up." Nina's gun followed his movements and he smiled, fangs and all. "Can't do it can you...well what about your partner there?"

 

Church

Even though Keel kept his gun aimed at Seth the whole time, he found himself unable to pull the trigger. What's wrong? I've never had trouble pulling the trigger before. He thought as he kept his gun aimed at Seth.

Annie's body warmed and she felt her breath catch in her throat. He was so close. No one ever got to be that close. She gnawed on her lower lip nervously. the proximity in which nick was to her felt strange. She could feel her wolf stirring, telling her to go for it. Annie internally rolled her eyes at the creature. The warmth radiating off of him and the smell of her shampoo mixed with his own personal scent, had her head swimming. "n-no...i'm not." she swallowed hard and averted her gaze. "about that date...wh-when...did you want to?"

 

Church~~

Rin grunted a bit as she felt herself get cut, but that became th least of her worries. She smiled, knowing that she was helping out the one person she trusted. Se held tightly onto his hand as he stood up. "please, I don't want you to leave me behind," she told him.

 

Balmore Manor

Seth smiled down at Rin, squeezing her hand lightly, "Don't worry...they won't pull the trigger. They can't. They wouldn't ever harm one of the last purebloods in the world. Especially one that can make a human carry on the Pureblood bloodline." At his words, Nina froze, "You're lying." "Take the chance and shoot me." Taking a deep breath, Nina scowled at him, her fangs receeding. "You're a liar! I hate you, Seth Balmore! I hate your entire bloodline! And today...today I'm going to end it. No more Balmores..." Her hand tightened on the trigger and the sound of a gunshot rang out. Seth's body luched backwards, stumbling onto the steps, a rapidly increasing amount of blood showing on his shirt. He blinked in surprise. Suzaku panted rapidly before collapsing back down on the ground. His gun smoking from the shot.

Cabin

Nick hardly moved, "How about tomorrow. Ikuto's supposedly coming back with Sammy and the kids. We'll go out and Serena can watch them."

 

Church

Keel was surprised at the fact the Suzaku managed to Fire a gun in his condition. Aside from that, he was more worried about why he couldn't pull the trigger. He'd have to worry about that later given their current situation. "What now?"

annie smirked. that sounded wonderful. kids really weren't her thing. just vickie, and that was only because they were sisters. her twin on the other hand loved children. "i like the sound of that." She glanced up at nick, chest still pounding, and pushed his face away from hers. Being that close was just too weird. "what are you going to do tonight? you're not leaving are you?" the thought of him actually going elsewhere was depressing. she had already grown too used to him being in her home all the time, even though it was only a couple of days.

vickie was in the kitchen helping serena finish up the cleaning. now that everyone had left, things were boring again. the only thing giving her excitement was knowing that sammy would be back tomorrow. just the thought of that had her bouncing around the kitchen, causing a bigger mess than she was cleaning. "you should have seen the way sammy....and then i showed her all of my....but the even bestest part was when..." serena had zoned out throughout most of what vickie was trying to tell her. her attention caught bits and pieces as she stacked the dishes away in the cabinet. suddenly there was a loud snapping noise, bringing her full attention back onto the seven-year old. "were you even listening? sissy, i was trying to ask if you liked that ikuto guy and you were just zoning out!" serena blinked her eyelids rapidly for a moment and then started to chuckle, while ruffling the young girl's hair. "even if i did, it wouldn't matter. he seems too preoccupied with everything that's going on to notice. maybe i will talk to rosh, just to see if he's as interested as ikuto believes." serena peeked around the corner, eying annie and nick. she waved her hand at him, signaling to come into the kitchen. "nicholas, might i have a word with you please."

 

Church

Seth half stood, half leaned on the stairs, his hand halfway to his wound. Shock spread through him. Suzaku was...alive? And he'd shot him. Slowly...very slowly, he glanced down at his wound. Just as he thought...straight through the heart. "Suzaku...I thought..." His body shook, all his muscles twitching at once. Taking a long breath, he exhaled slowly and stopped the constant movement. Opening his eyes, Nina saw Seth's eyes had gone not just scarlet red but held markings of pure black within the iris. "You...you're...! I never imagined...you would still be alive. You are not...." before she could finish her sentence, Seth's entire arm had impaled through her. "Goodbye...Nina Balmore. The last of the Balmore Clan...has finally been laid to rest." Blood spilled from Nina's lips as she fell lifelessly to the ground. Suzaku struggled to lift his head, "Wh-who...are you?" Seth smiled casually and malevolently. "Not...Seth Balmore. No...he died years ago. Didn't you wonder where your mission came from to eliminate Seth Balmore? It came directly from the leader of the Balmore Clan...yes...Mr. Balmore himself. Seth...and Valentine's father ordered my death." He closed his eyes for a moment, that ever piercing gaze was shut off from Suzaku and Keel's sight. Suzaku grabbed Keel's pant leg, "Run...you have to...get out of here. This man...is not Seth Balmore....he's much...worse..."

Cabin

Nick scratched the back of his head nervously, "Well I didn't really have a decision in mind... Hm? Ah, sure, Serena. I'll be right back, Annie." He slipped past Annie and stood before Serena with his hands in his pockets. "Something up?"

 

Rin had no idea what was going on in front of her. Everything unraveled slowly in front of her eyes. She thought she was in a nightmare. "S-seth," Rin muttered, wishfully ignoring the revelations of what has happened. "W-what's going on?"

 

Church

Keel was at a loss for words at what had just happened before him. The 'Seth Balmore' in front of him wasn't the real one, who apparently had already been dead. "What's worse that a Vam-" He stopped himself when he realized that he didn't want to know the answer to that question. "What about you then? I can't just leave you here."

 

Balmore Manor - Church

Suzaku gritted his teeth, pulling on Keel's pants and pulling himself to his knees, "You must. I'll only slow you down. I'll...hold him off while you get out of here." He glared at Seth and lifted his gun, "If you aren't Seth Balmore...who are you?" Seth's casual grin spread from ear to ear, "There are some things in this world that you'd be better off not knowing." Sweating, Suzaku struggled to keep his eyes open, "I see then...so you're that guy. I never thought Nina's stories were true." Seth set a hand on Rin's shoulder and kept the same smile for her, "Oh, I'm just making headway in the Vampire Hunter Society, Rin." He knelt down to her, his red and black marked eyes meeting hers, "You must understand my motives for lying to you about who I am, Rin. I'm protecting you by keeping who I am a secret. You see...Yuki, Mirabelle, and Cooke...even they don't know the truth. They truly believe Seth Balmore lives on. And in a way, he does...in me. I do hope you'll continue to stay here." While Seth was talking to Rin, Suzaku pulled the hammer back on his gun and weakly shoved at Keel to get him to move towards the door. Firing off a few more shots into Seth's back, Suzaku allowed himself a slight smirk of satisfaction. Rolling his head around, Seth glared at him and reached out with one hand towards Suzaku. Suzaku gained a burst of strength and pushed Keel out of the way as black fire coursed towards them. Two slashes cut into his back in the midst of the black fire, burning the skin around the cuts. "Why aren't you moving!?"

 

Church

"Alright." Keel replied as he headed towards the entrance. With the condition Suzaku's in, he had his doubt about how long he could last against Seth. When he finally got the the entrance to the Church, he took one quick glance back. Some vampire hunter turned out to be.

Serena shoved vickie out of the kitchen before turning to acknowledge nick's presence. "children are so nosey. Anyway, I figured I should take the time and explore all my options. I mean i'm not getting any younger. Since one option appears to be pushing me away, but not in any real direction, I thought it would ne best to look into door number two. Even if it will clearly be the wrong choice." she closed the cabinet , signifying the last of the dishes were put away, and smiled at nick sweetly. "would you mind working out something with your new alpha. If he's going to stare at me he could at least say something while doing it." serena winked at him and slipped the orange apron over her head, hanging it from a hook near the stove.

Ceril bolted upright, clutching her chest. "did you feel that? Something...something isn't right." her eyes focused on the crack in the wall, piercing whatever may be far beyond. Something was wrong. More wrong than the small pack of werewolves that recently decided to call her sanctuary home.

 

Cabin

Nick's eyes widened after a second to process what she'd said. "You want...to encourage Rosh? But, Serena, Ikuto...he...that's the most I've ever seen him talk to a girl in ten years that wasn't half his height and age!" Spreading his hands as he spoke in exasperation, "Even if...I did speak to him....he's not going to listen to a word I say. Serena...I want you to be sure of yourself before showing interest in Rosh. Today...he was just keeping his distance to be polite or something, I"m sure, but...tomorrow..or the day after...who knows what he'll do."

treehouse

Valentine had slunk away from Ceril when she wasn't paying attention. He sat in the fading sunlight, "Yeah...I thought something was off...then...that feeling." His nails scored marks in the floor, "Seth...isn't Seth. I can't believe I was fooled so easily. I wanted...to believe so much I had found my brother so I could talk to him."

Balmore Manor

Seth shot that casual grin at Suzaku and a series of slash marks cut into the floor leading towards Suzaku. The Vampire Hunter hurled himself backwards, avoiding the brunt of the damage. Tossing aside his gun, he reached for the blade he kept at his side and found it missing. "Damn..."
