Nick smirked, rubbing his cheek on her hair, "They're kind children. Utau may not speak...but Sammy is friendly enough with everyone. Richard is just lonely...when Utau stopped talking after her parents died...he fell into a slump. If you're uncomfortable with the children...bring Ikuto with you. He's more than willing to spend time with them and he's actually...really straightforwards. The guy practically is on the same wavelength as the kids...I swear with his crazy blueblood stuff that he can read minds. The guy is weird but he's more adult than even our Alpha back home. Kazuya...our Alpha...was going to make Ikuto his beta after Ben died...but he refused. Something or other about with all the jobs he wouldn't have enough time to be around Utau. I think....he feels responsible...but I left before I could ever figure out why." Lost in memories, Nick rambled on until he realized what he'd been saying. "Sorry...I get carried away. You don't want to hear about this stuff..." his face warmed with embarrassment.

 

Church

"Any idea on what were supposed to be looking for?" Keel asked as he continued to search.

I appologize That I haven't posted a lot here. A lot of things have happened to me within the passing months. I'd like to continue being in the role play, if that is okay. Could someone catch me up to speed please?

 

{ooc: lucy and rin are still at the mayor's house, all the werewolves from romania just arrived, nina and keel are searching for seth, suzaku was hurt by valentine in the mansion and we don't really know what happened to him after that, ceril and valentine are chilling in the treehouse, and i think right before you left their mother and anthony were just about to leave for the mansion....but now it's daylight...so they'll probably have to wait...i think that's pretty much it.}

annie smiled warmly at nick and rested her head on his shoulder. "i don't mind. i like listening to you talk. you have a lot of stories to tell." listening to him made her feel better connected and he apparently really cared about those people. it was something annie would have to eventually come to terms with. "are you leaving with them? to go help set up?" she didn't want him to go. this moment right here seemed almost perfect and if he left it would be ruined.

serena walked back out into the dining room to collect more dishes. her face was grinning as she noticed ikuto helping clean up. "you didn't have to help. you're a guest after all." she took the leftover food from the table and carried it back to the kitchen to put away. it was surprising how little was left. this bunch didn't just seem to be ill-mannered. looks like i fed a bunch of pigs, not dogs. she laughed quietly at her joke and started scrapping the food into a container.

When Rin woke up from her stress-endured nap, she was hoping that everything was just a dream and that she would wake up next to Seth. She knew that it was a useless wish, but she wanted to have some kind of hope. The bleak scenery that was accompanied by the dim sunlight that bled through the curtains only added to current sense of depression.

"how long am I going to be kept here," Rin called out, although, half hoping that Lucy wasn't in ear shot. A part of her wanted to see how long she could fair against a vampire.

 

Cabin

Nick watched the remaining members gather themselves and each crouched to say goodbye to Vickie. "Me, leave to help them? No...Rosh would just get defensive and it would end in a fight. A fight I wouldn't win. It's not like Rosh is better than I am...he's just a bigger guy...I'm sure with a little more training I'd beat him...just a matter of wanting to look bulky or not. I'd prefer not." He felt a tug at his pants and glanced down to find Sammy's large blue eyes staring up at him, "Are you two mates?" Crouching, Nick laughed her words off and covered her mouth, "Shut the hell up you little runt."

Ikuto followed her quietly, setting the dishes in the sink and running a light stream of water over them, "No...it's the least I could do after the trouble we've caused. Guests or not...we have better table manners than that. I'm very ashamed of my family...but at least they seem a bit more comfortable here. All in all...we were worried we wouldn't be well recieved when we arrived." For once he didn't feel the extra weight of the children hanging off him. Looking down at his legs, he found them empty of small figures...but his socks were missing too. "They took my socks...again. I guess I should start looking for them...wherever they might've put them." He started opening the drawers closest to the ground, scanning through them before moving on to under chairs, tables, sofa's, even scanning Serena's figure before leaning over the sink again. "I might have to come back tomorrow to find them..."

Church

Nina shrugged her slim shoulders, "If I knew what we were looking for...wouldn't I have told you already? I don't know if it's a hidden door or a trap door or some secret passageway activated by a switch. I may be a Pureblood Vampire...but I've been thinking like a Vampire Hunter for generations. Something's...not right. Do you smell that?" She sniffed close to the podium at the front of the Church, "Smells like...blood. Suzaku's blood."

Mayor's house

Lucy flung open her window, "Fine...you wanna leave. You wanna run back to that stinking vampire! Then go! But you won't catch me back at that place again. No way in hell would I ever return to a Vampire's house!"

Balmore Manor

Seth had managed to crawl down the stairs, blurry eyed and weakened towards the scent of blood. He sat at the foot of his stairs staring at Suzaku. "You came back...Vampire Hunter. My brother very nearly killed you...but instead he left you here to die. How lucky for you....if you weren't so revolting I'd drink your blood right now."

 

Mayor's House

Rin was ready to smile when she heard Lucy's words. The logical part of her brain was very skeptic, wondering what trick would be placed on her. She slowly inched to the window, meeting Lucy eye-to-eye.

"Am I free," Rin asked, tears in her eyes, "you're not tricking me?"

Her heart ached for Lucy. She wasn't a complete bad person, just someone who saw the situation different. Rin wanted to be with Seth though, it was the only thing she desired now.

 

~Church~

"Now that you mention it...yeah." Keel replied. While he didn't know what Suzaku's blood smelled like, he could deny the smell of blood in the air.

annie had to resist the urge to laugh. mates! as if... something inside of her though, wanted to heavily disagree. she remembered how foolish and childlike her wolf had acted the night before. that part of her wanted it to be true, but annie continued to refuse. relationships were for the weak-hearted. she knelt down beside the little girl and patted her on the head. "you must be sammy. i overheard nick talking about you to vickie. i'm annie." she smiled at the little girl happily as vickie came running up to them. "sammy! there you are. oh! hi sissy. are you feeling better?" annie nodded and pulled her little sister in for a tight squeeze. "yes sweetie. i think i am. i'm sorry for troubling you."

serena laughed lightly and caught sight of ikuto eyeing her. "well, if you need any help just let me know. those darn socks could have ended up just about anywhere, after all." she set the empty container down on the counter, still grinning. serena slowly moved closer to him and trailed her fingers along the edge of the counter. "i'm glad to see everyone is so well adjusted. i was worried about the same thing, only for us. we've spent a long time without a pack. when our family was killed annie went to a dark place and we left the pack. she made it very clear that we were never to join another, that we would be stronger without one. the pack couldn't help us then, so why would it be able to help us now? i think that's what she's feeling. she has resentment towards all of you, but i believe this is a good thing. if you'll accept us, i think we'll all benefit." she gave him a wink and then turned back towards the sink and the pile of dirty dishes. they really do make a big mess. there was a quiet chuckle to escape her lips as she picked up the sponge.

Sammy's entire expression changed to one of jealousy and intrigue. "You're Annie? So then... Her?" she asked Nick bluntly. Baffled, Nick poked her forehead, "Whaddya mean, her? Yeah, her. No, we're not mates. We're just gonna go on a date some day. Once you get your little nose outta my buisness." Sammy opened her mouth to protest and shut it again. "So you're going to stay here with her then? You won't come back to Romania with us if we choose to leave." Nick knelt down to the little girl's height, "I won't go back no matter what, Sammy. Kazuya made it quite clear I wasn't to return. I want you...when you go to your new home...to call Uncle Kazuya and talk to him. Ask him why I left in the first place. In one month...you'll grow your fur and make your first change. I think you have a right to know before then."

Ikuto spaced out for a while, his tri-colored blue eyes watching Serena. "I'm afraid sweet words and a meal will not be enough to convince us all to accept you and your sisters. It's what I fear the most. You've been generous to us... If I can do anything for any situation you're in...do not hesitate to visit me or call. Sammy lives with me, she'll answer the phone. Really...I'd hate for you to develop a revulsion towards us..." He looked pained as he spoke. Shaking his head, he glanced towards the door as everyone seemed to be clearing out and heading towards their new homes. Rosh stood alone in the doorway, glaring at Ikuto. How friendly of him...jealous already. I see being nice to our hostess is out of the question when it concerns him. he thought with a sour grin and turned back to Serena. He set a hand gently on her back, "Hypothetically...would you be interested in a man like Rosh?"

Church

Nina's red eyes glowed crimson as she followed the scent, pushing at the wall behind the alter until it moved like a door. "Keel...this way. We have our way in."

Mayor's House

Lucy rubbed her head, "Should I care where you go? I don't like you...I don't want you here in my home...a Vampire lover could never be reasoned with. I don't feel so good...so just go."

 

Mayors House~~

Rin hid her smile, but she couldn't hold back her tears. Without saying a word to Lucy, she left the house, sprinting towards the town. She was happy that it was still daylight, so that she could travel back to the mansion without too much worry. Her mind was foggy, but she no longer cared, she wanted to go back to the place she considered home.

She ran towards the woods, sprinting with a wide smile on her face.

 

Church

"Seems like it." Keel replied. The smell of blood was definitely coming from there, he could only guess what the source was. "Alright, let's see where it takes us."

Annie released her baby sister and rose to her feet. The little girl clearly had a problem with her for some unknown reason and it made annie uncomfortable. "maybe I should go...help serena or something..." she awkwardly slipped away without another word. vickie watched annie leave and looked up at nick confused. "what happened?"

Serena took a minute to size up the new alpha and then smirked. Men, so simple-minded. Her brown eyes grazed over ikuto one last time, before returning to the dishes. "hypothetically, I would not. I'm not really into the whole macho tough guy thing. Especially in ones that start fights in my home for no reason. My sister is the one that likes tough guys. She needs someone as strong as she is stubborn." serena looked up from the sink and stared out the window in front of her. "hypothetically, i'd be interested in a man that's caring, great with children, and that knows how to cook. Someone that would be willing to help start the restaursnt i've always wanted to own." serena smiled at himas she put the dishes away in the cupboard. "but those are just hypotheticals, after all. Rosh could be pretty sweet. It's not like we've actually had a moment to talk or anything."

Nick watched Annie leave and ruffled Sammy's hair, "Nice one, genius. Sammy's jealous that I like Annie. I suppose your sister is uncomfortable with Sammy's feelings. Sam...keep it to a minimum...this isn't a game here. This is my future you're playing with. I like Annie...and I'm not taking no for an answer with her." Sammy clutched at her shirt over her heart, "It hurts sometimes...to see you looking for a mate already." Straightening, Nick rolled his shoulders and set his hands on his hips, "Already? Sammy...I waited four entire mating seasons because you said those girls weren't good enough for me and I agreed to play along with your infatuation. It's time, Sam. Even guys like me get impatient."

Ikuto listened and took in her hypotheticals. Why did that sound like... Shaking himself internally, he still felt the heat of Rosh's gaze boring into his back. "You take it quite lightly...Rosh's obvious attraction towards you. I wouldn't be so careless as to be alone with him. I understand you probably have had plenty of experience with troublesome males...but Rosh is Kazuya's Beta...and he has a brick for a brain. It's like dealing with drying cement...once something is stuck in there...it's impossible to get it out. Drop a beautiful flower into cement...and you're not going to get it back without getting it covered in something that will destroy it." Why was he warning her away from him? It wasn't like himself to be so involved...or even try to be involved. Protecting this woman wasn't what Kazuya had ordered of him...his only job was to keep Utau, Sammy, Nick and the rest of the pack safe. Taking a step away from her, he bent at the waist in a formal bow, "Thank you for hosting us. It was a delicious meal you made for us. Hopefully, I can repay the favor someday. Again...thank you...Serena." He'd been careful not to address her by name before...now he was just being careless.

Church

Nina shoved open the hidden door and found Suzaku lying on the ground,bleeding, and Seth Balmore panting on the stairs like a starving puppy. Drawing her blade from a pocket in her dress, Nina snarled, fangs and all at Seth, "Balmore! What have you done to Suzaku!?"

Seth wearily blinked, trying to remove the haze from his gaze, "Nothing...nothing at all."

 

Rin was reluctant to find her way back to the mansion, feeling an odd presence around her as she reached the front door. She didn't think to knock and slowly opened the door. "Hello," She called out in a quiet voice, hoping anyone was there.

 

Church

Keel took a quick look at the bleeding Suzaku before turning back to Seth. "You expect us to believe that." HE said, drawing his gun.

Annie stood outside the kitchen eaves dropping. Serena was totally putting the moves on this guy and he was completely clueless. She had to keep herself from laughing. How hysterical. She moved away from the kitchen and saw Rosh by the door. Now's as good of time as any I guess. She walked over to the new Alpha and forced a smile. "Are you okay? You seem agitated."

Vickie listened to Nick and Sammy argue. She didn't like seeing them fight, especially over her sister. "Sammy, I hope you give Annie a chance. She's actually really nice, even if she doesn't always seem like it."

Serena smiled and watched Ikuto bow. It was cute how formal he was being. Trying not to step on any toes I guess. She opened the refrigerator and signaled for him to stand up straight. Bowing was not necessary in the least bit. "Well, thanks for the help. Although, a word to the wise, I wouldn't refer to your new alpha like that so openly. Especially when he's been watching us the entire time. That's a bit of a red flag right there." Through the window, serena noticed her twin finally making the move to talk to him. Finally. She put a few containers on the shelf and turned back to him, still smiling. "I look forward to when we meet again. I believe Sammy is off with Vickie."

 

Cabin

Ikuto felt his face relax into a smile. He stiffened and felt his ears redden as Rosh's gaze turned ever more piercing. "Oh, but I'm quite aware of how accute Rosh watches you and I. Needless to say...it's a bit unsettling...but fearing Rosh is not something I do." He turned and waved with a semi-fake smile on his face to Rosh and his new Alpha scowled and turned to Annie. "Kazuya is my Uncle...Rosh does not frighten me...nor is he my true Alpha. Ah...but I'm overstaying my welcome now. Thank you, I should go retrieve Sammy. I'll see you later then." He turned on his heels and left.

Rosh scowled at Ikuto's smile and glanced down at the woman. Annie...was her name....the one who Nick kept following around. "For a woman who is so certain of herself to ask is a rare sight indeed. You are the one Nicholas trails after like a lost pup. You are the one he loses his cool for." He smiled, showing sharp canines, "A pleasure to meet you. I'll be fine once Ikuto remembers his place. For a new pack...starting here will be difficult. If the Alpha does not have a mate...the pack will not last long. Rose and Jane have husbands and children...Utau and Sammy are far too young to consider...Nick's scent lingers on you like a cloak. Your sister...would be a fine mate for an Alpha like myself."

Sammy sighed, shaking her head, "Don't worry, Vickie. I trust your sister. If she can maintain Nick's attention...good luck to her. Oh, Ikuto!" She waved her hands in the air as she spotted the midnight blue haired, Ikuto. Who immediately knelt at her side and smoothed her hair, "Ready to go?" Sammy pouted, "I'll never be ready to go...but if you promise we can come back tomorrow...I'll go." Ikuto frowned, his tricolored blue eyes flicking nervously to the floor, "Alright...we might as well come back tomorrow for a while....Utau and Richard have hidden my socks..." Nick laughed, "You have the worst luck."

Church

Nina edged towards Suzaku when she heard a faint voice call out hello. Turning slowly, she saw, beyond Keel, was a young girl, probably not even halfway through her teens. "Get out of here!"

Seth followed her gaze and landed on Rin. He felt an immediate pulse to move to her side, but his body wouldn't move. Lifting a hand, he beckoned her to him. "Rin...welcome home."

Annie covered her mouth to stifle a laugh. Was this guy serious? he's joking right? Serena would never go for a block-head like him. she nodded and glanced back to the kitchen, noticing ikuto leave. so that's it. "well...serena is a pretty serious person. You don't make a move on her for convienence, you do it because you like her. If you don't mind, I'd suggest getting to know her first." her twin would never like him, but it might provide her some amusement.

Vickie smiled at ikuto enthusiasticly. Sammy was going to come back. She was going to see her again. "see you tomorrow?"

Serena had watched ikuto walk out of the kitchen and sge smiled as he left. He was interesting. She returned to the dishes that managed to accumulate due to the number of pack members that were there. quite the appetite.

Vickie nodded and let Ikuto drag her away. They passed Rosh as he opened his mouth to reply to Annie, "Ready to go, Alpha?" Now he was just pressing his luck. Ikuto reprimanded himself internally and slid past him, letting Rosh follow suit. He didn't spare a backwards glance for any of them while Ikuto had to resist the urge to look back. If he bothered, he might just not get in the car.
